Don't worry Drott, we'll have our dog days of summer yet. High 90's, 90% humidity, no breeze, skeeters bigger than our heads.....

then poof! It will be fall/winter for the next 7 months or more.

I need to take pics of my 'mobile garden". As the deer and woods don't play well with my veggies, poor Mr. V had to load their pots into the lawn tractor cart. They live there now. Every morning he drives them out to the one sunny spot. In the evening he had to drive them back into the garage so the deer don't get them. I will have tomatoes, darn it all.

High of 94 today with excessive heat warnings, so humidity should be stoopid high. :( Good news is no rain forecast until at least Monday, so good for taking bike out!

Not sure if I mentioned it, but I have obstacles to overcome to take the bike. Andy (#2 son) has a non-driveable car in my driveway (flat tire, dead battery, among other things), AND the nice neighbor had some stone delivered to redo his patio blocks. Sadly, the delivery guy came while he was at work, and the pile reaches all the way over to Andy's front tire. :glare: That was the side I would normally get the bike out on. There is JUST enough room to get it down the other side, due to the flower bed and edging. I have to keep my right foot on the edging, and watch the left side of the bike (including the width of the crash bars) don't scrape up against Andy's car. Truly an adventure!

That sounds like a new shotgun sport! I am familiar with trap, sporting clays, and skeet. Now we could add SKEETERS! Bring your shotgun and shells and we supply the skeeters for free! Adult beverages are available for a small fee...

Mine all got tossed and the birds tossed outside every morning. The Cayuga runs around with her neck all scrunched up, bill open and yelling up a storm. She chases me around like that. She's Mrs. Crabbypants.

Victor is enjoying the Darth Vader attacks. He hides and waits, just wiggling all over. What a nut.

Not even going to try to catch up. Did I miss anything good?

I've been super busy with work and home stuff. Of course as always I have great luck. Someone rear ended me in my beautiful spotless car a couple of weeks ago. Both of us were fine but my car wasn't. We just got it back from the body shop last week and when Hubby came home Thursday he noticed that the bumper that was replaced no longer lines up with the body on both sides. Still waiting for the guys insurance company to call us back about that. They paid for a rental car for me. We also filed a diminished value claim but don't know what the off is as of now. We're not accepting any offer until the car is completely fixed.

The kids are doing ok. Alex starts back to full days at his vocational rehab classes tomorrow. He seems to be enjoying it to some degree. It's getting him out of the house several hours during the day which is a great thing! Morgan usually goes to work with me and I make her work doing stuff like filling my shampoo bottles. help bathing and holding dogs on the grooming table, fold towels, vacuum, sweep. I pay her $5 for every day she actually puts effort in to work. She has no idea what minimum wage is. She usually spends it all on Avon stuff since I'm back to selling it. She eventually wants to groom but I told her she has to start at the bottom and work her way up before I let her loose on a dog with a pair of clippers.

My eardrum busted about three weeks ago. No idea why. Doctor said to wait and see if it heals it self. If not by the time of my next appointment then he'll put a "patch" on the hole. So for now can hear noise out of my right ear but it's difficult to tale what is being said. When I blow my nose, my ear whistles and air comes out of it. Unfortunately I think I got water in it and made it worse. It's draining something yellow at night when I get up there's a wet spot on my pillow and crusty stuff on my ear. It gurgles and whistles now when I blow my nose. It's sorta funny. Morgan gets a kick out of it. When it finish's healing the hearing some get better. The audiologist said that the ear is picking up sound but since it doesn't have a nice complete eardrum to bounce off of my hearing is messed up. Oh well, always something interesting around here .

Did anyone catch the Amazon Prime sale they had earlier in the week? I made out good. Got a 16gb Kindle Fire for $53 and an 8gb for $33! Then of course a cover for both and then misc odd and end stuff. I gave one of the Kindle Fires to my husband for his birthday and kept the other one for myself.

Work is fine. Home is fine. Dogs are fine. Apollo just hit 7 months and is 72 pounds. And he thinks he is a lap dog.

How have you guys been?

Drott's Dog House
She has her nest in the bottom half of a plastic dog house we picked up off the trash. Soo I'll be taking the whole thing out of the coop. The I'll open the coop back up so the chicks can get back in. Their using the duck house now. But I'll have to close the duck house so the chicks stop laying in it. One vicious circle.:lol: Come to the conclusion it's easier to incubate eggs.
