Howdy y'all!
I must say that I enjoyed my five day weekend. Unfortunately, it ended by having to come to work.
I got the speakers put into the old POS car. They dont sound all that great, but I should be able to hear them going down the road with the windows and sunroof open without too much distortion. But, I wasnt expecting a miracle for $25 for a pair of 6x9's. Much to my surprise, the old ones werent blown out. They just REALLY distorted when I turned 'em up too much. Which is pretty much all the time.
The parts for the vacuum finally came in. Unfortunately, one of them was the wrong one. I admit though, Amazon has wonderful customer service for Prime members. I found the right part that isnt fulfilled by Amazon, but they offered to cover the difference in price, as well as pay for the shipping. Now, all I have to do is be able to find the time to sit down and actually PLACE the order.
Kids are loving the trampoline again. I'm still waiting on the spring cover to come in though. Should be sometime this week.
Kat's team's tournament didnt go so hot Saturday. By looking at the team stats, they shouldve been able to steamroll
through at least the first two games. But they werent playing as well as they normally do for some reason. First game went well, but then a "B" bracket (lowest experienced) team tied us for the second game. By the third game, it was clear that the girls just didnt want to be out there. Which is something we had hoped we had gotten away from with the new team. That was one of the biggest reasons Kat wanted to leave her other team. But, Kat did get to stand at the plate for the second game. She hit....well... she didnt HIT the ball, but she did at least make contact.... She was able to score one of the two runs the team got that game.
Speaking of Kat, she is scheduled for what we hope to be her last chiropractor appt this afternoon. If it IS her last one, she'll be cleared to play again for the first time in five weeks. The team is taking the week off for spring break, then one week of practice, then we go to the Super Regionals in Greensboro, NC on the weekend of the 25th. Hopefully they can get their focus and drive back before then. I'd hate to spend the money on gas and a hotel room just to see them give up again.
Yesterday was a good day. We went to my step-mom's house for lunch after church. Ham, mashed taters, corn, green beans, rolls, candied yams, venison steaks and cube steaks, gravy, and cupcakes. Lots of cupcakes. I was too scared to get on the scale this morning, but I am betting on a solid 3-5 pounds gained this weekend. It was worth it though. Then CJ got to drive the golf cart after I hopped on the bike and headed home... Apparently, he drove it straight into my step-mom's step-dad's Chevy Avalanche.
And right now, Im kinda shuffling around looking for stuff to do. The guys actually took care of the warehouse while I was out, so I dont have anything to immediately catch up on. Most of what I need to do I havent been trained on yet, and its way too confusing to try on my own. I'd probably end up ordering 5 miles of fiber optic cable instead of a pack of staples.
Well, I'm gonna go keep shuffling around to at least try to look busy. I have to pretend until 4:00. Then its off to another ball field to watch Melanie play a game tonight. I dont even want to think about what we're going to
throw together for dinner after we get home from the game.
Y'all have a good day! Hope you enjoyed James' weekly novel.
Bunch of bums. Maybe James is working.
Eagles are starting a fish market this morning.
Nope. I took Wednesday
through Friday off last week. It was originally going to be for a mini vacation to the mountains, but then I had to spend the $500 of vacation money to replace the clutch in my beater car.
I'll send ya one when it grows back...
*Punkin on the run*
You realize that if you do that (if you havent already) you will be front and center for a new Jib-Jab... No one warned me of that when I posted my pic.
I've pretty much settled on the fact that longer hair is what will work for me because of riding. No matter how cute a short haircut is, it will look like carp when I take off the helmet.

Soooo, I'll be keeping it long enough to at least braid it, because a short ponytail will get too matted up after any length of time. And there are times I just want to shave it all off.
You sounds like Mrs E.
She got a REALLY short cut once. I cried.
I was gonna say something, but PD beat me to it.
Your hair is now marginally longer than mine. But I need a haircut. Badly... I used to get a haircut every two weeks. Now I get one about every month. But Ive been putting it off for a month now. My "bangs" are almost down to my eyebrows!
