Layering the cut should make it feather. She had to thin mine out. I have a lot of thick hair.

As I've gotten older, my hair has gotten thinner. It's the hairs themselves, and now I've got flyaways all the freaking time. And it's extremely subject to static electricity. :(

Howdy y'all!

I must say that I enjoyed my five day weekend. Unfortunately, it ended by having to come to work.

I got the speakers put into the old POS car. They dont sound all that great, but I should be able to hear them going down the road with the windows and sunroof open without too much distortion. But, I wasnt expecting a miracle for $25 for a pair of 6x9's. Much to my surprise, the old ones werent blown out. They just REALLY distorted when I turned 'em up too much. Which is pretty much all the time.

The parts for the vacuum finally came in. Unfortunately, one of them was the wrong one. I admit though, Amazon has wonderful customer service for Prime members. I found the right part that isnt fulfilled by Amazon, but they offered to cover the difference in price, as well as pay for the shipping. Now, all I have to do is be able to find the time to sit down and actually PLACE the order.

Kids are loving the trampoline again. I'm still waiting on the spring cover to come in though. Should be sometime this week.

Kat's team's tournament didnt go so hot Saturday. By looking at the team stats, they shouldve been able to steamroll through at least the first two games. But they werent playing as well as they normally do for some reason. First game went well, but then a "B" bracket (lowest experienced) team tied us for the second game. By the third game, it was clear that the girls just didnt want to be out there. Which is something we had hoped we had gotten away from with the new team. That was one of the biggest reasons Kat wanted to leave her other team. But, Kat did get to stand at the plate for the second game. She hit....well... she didnt HIT the ball, but she did at least make contact.... She was able to score one of the two runs the team got that game.

Speaking of Kat, she is scheduled for what we hope to be her last chiropractor appt this afternoon. If it IS her last one, she'll be cleared to play again for the first time in five weeks. The team is taking the week off for spring break, then one week of practice, then we go to the Super Regionals in Greensboro, NC on the weekend of the 25th. Hopefully they can get their focus and drive back before then. I'd hate to spend the money on gas and a hotel room just to see them give up again.

Yesterday was a good day. We went to my step-mom's house for lunch after church. Ham, mashed taters, corn, green beans, rolls, candied yams, venison steaks and cube steaks, gravy, and cupcakes. Lots of cupcakes. I was too scared to get on the scale this morning, but I am betting on a solid 3-5 pounds gained this weekend. It was worth it though. Then CJ got to drive the golf cart after I hopped on the bike and headed home... Apparently, he drove it straight into my step-mom's step-dad's Chevy Avalanche.

And right now, Im kinda shuffling around looking for stuff to do. The guys actually took care of the warehouse while I was out, so I dont have anything to immediately catch up on. Most of what I need to do I havent been trained on yet, and its way too confusing to try on my own. I'd probably end up ordering 5 miles of fiber optic cable instead of a pack of staples.

Well, I'm gonna go keep shuffling around to at least try to look busy. I have to pretend until 4:00. Then its off to another ball field to watch Melanie play a game tonight. I dont even want to think about what we're going to throw together for dinner after we get home from the game.

Y'all have a good day! Hope you enjoyed James' weekly novel.

Bunch of bums. Maybe James is working.

Eagles are starting a fish market this morning.
Nope. I took Wednesday through Friday off last week. It was originally going to be for a mini vacation to the mountains, but then I had to spend the $500 of vacation money to replace the clutch in my beater car.

I'll send ya one when it grows back...

*Punkin on the run*
You realize that if you do that (if you havent already) you will be front and center for a new Jib-Jab... No one warned me of that when I posted my pic. :glare:

I've pretty much settled on the fact that longer hair is what will work for me because of riding. No matter how cute a short haircut is, it will look like carp when I take off the helmet. :glare: Soooo, I'll be keeping it long enough to at least braid it, because a short ponytail will get too matted up after any length of time. And there are times I just want to shave it all off.
You sounds like Mrs E.

She got a REALLY short cut once. I cried.

Here you ho.....
I was gonna say something, but PD beat me to it.

Your hair is now marginally longer than mine. But I need a haircut. Badly... I used to get a haircut every two weeks. Now I get one about every month. But Ive been putting it off for a month now. My "bangs" are almost down to my eyebrows!

Y!

Hubby was really, really mad at me the first time I cut it off. I had hair half way done my back and got it cut without telling him about it. Needless to say he was speechless and really was a tad bit pizzed. He has learned over the past 25 years that that I could give a rats patootie whether he likes it or not. He just prefers long hair.

Mornin' y'all.

Im having some serious typing problems this morning. It took me five or six tries to get that first sentence out.

Melanie's team won their game! 18-10. They shouldve called the game after our last at bat. A team cant score more than eight runs per at bat due to the "8-run rule". And we were ahead by 9 going into the bottom of the last inning. But, we were playing in a different town. Not to mention the other team's coaches were a bunch of....well... bad words. And the umpire didnt help things any. He was calling the "safes and outs" pretty well, but he would give batters extra chances to hit (in 8U, it's coach pitch and each batter gets five pitches, regardless of swings, fouls, or balls), when the other team skipped a player in their lineup, instead of counting it as an out, per the rules, he let them just skip over it. I'm all about letting the girls play and have fun and learn the game. But the game needs to be played according to the rules, too. The kids dont learn if you bend rules when it suits you. ANYwho... Melanie had three pretty solid hits. One was a popfly that was miraculously caught. Her second hit showcased her speed.... or lack thereof. She hit it down the third baseline, but still got caught out at first. Poor girl runs like her daddy. Her third hit got her on base with no problems.

Not too much else going on here. Temps are seasonably warm, around the mid 70's. Chance for rain and/or thunderstorms this afternoon. If the rain holds off, we're going to try to get the last few things from the old house. If it's raining, we're going to head to the gym for an hour or so. Or, if things go REALLY well, we'll do both!

Hope everyone has a great day!

A lot of it has to do if you look good with short hair. YOU happen to look great with short hair. Mrs E.... well.... Lets just say it isnt for her. Not to mention she has really thick hair that showcases her Italian heritage that looks REALLY good when she leaves it down, which she doesnt do very often.

I understand short hair is easier to deal with. Easy to wash, easy to brush, and it stays out of the way. Still. Long hair is my preference. Even though I know I have no say in how she gets it cut. ;)

Salad and well, that's it. Salad. I'm on a losing streak so trying to be very good. So far I'm down 32 pounds.
Wow! Great job!

I was doing good until this weekend (but no where near as good as you!). I did gain about 5 pounds over the weekend. Im back on it hard to get it back down again. Still need to loose about 8 before my birthday.

I'm here. I just got home from cleaning my sister's house. Now time to get mine cleaned up a bit. When the kids get up they can help. Alex owes me $10 so he'll be doing some fireplace mantle scrubbing. It's a white mantle and there is dried dog slobber on it. The story of my life. I don't think there is anything in this house that hasn't at some point been hit by Shrek slobber.

Kat owes me $10 too. I promised her the money to watch CJ for a couple of hours and get some chores done, but it turned out that I'll be able to take CJ with me on Saturday. Then, we found out that she has a mandatory school chorus rehersal... She was so sad that she wouldnt be able to finish her chores. I told her she had until Saturday night to make sure all of the chores got done. If even one wasnt completed, she would owe me the $10. We'll see how that turns out.

In the meantime, its time to head home. I think we're going to try to get a few things out of the house before we head to the gym. Because of the rain, we wont be making one trip in the truck, but one trip in the van, which will still leave several larger items, like the bicycle and office chair. *sigh*

Well, I hope y'all get a little more talkative after I leave!

See y'all tomorrow and have a good evening!

Good morning all.

FV, good to see you made it!

I'm already pulling my hair out this morning. We had two orders that UPS tried to deliver to our old address, then sent back to sender, but never made it back to the right place, now the sender is saying that WE are responsible for the equipment.... Uh, no, d.a., WE NEVER GOT IT. We never signed for it. It never made it to us. Take it up with the boys in brown. :-x

Anywho... The weather is definitely spring in the south kinda weather. Warm and muggy. Should get over 80 degrees today with a good chance of afternoon storms.

Not too much else going on...

Hope everyone has a good day!

I FORGOT MY COOKIES!!!!

No really... I had some Girl Scout cookies in a little baggie to bring for lunch. Either theyre still sitting on the kitchen table, or theyve been hijacked by a wife or kids. :glare: Either way... I have no cookies...

Thank you James! :)

I took the day off, and both boys woke me up with text msgs this morning.
You tried to sneak out of letting us know last year. I wasnt going to let it slip by this year!

But I wasnt going to say your name in case you didnt want it known. I'm just a sweetheart like that.

Oh.... I um... I may have made one of your FB buddies mad.... I'll delete my post if you want me to. Or you can delete it. I just hate listening to uneducated people saying stuff like that.

I can't believe it. I am home alone! Mrs Punkin went shopping with my sister for "lady stuff". I have no idea how I got out of it but sure am glad I don't have to hang out at the women's department! I guess only guys would understand but sitting in a chair waiting on the mrs. with bras and panties all around you not knowing whether to think, wow, that looks nice or I bet they think I am some kind of a pervert sitting here looking at undies!
