I vote that you put it away. And hire a kid to mow.

You can sit in a lawn chair and supervise.
Good morning everyone! I'm thinking about putting the snow blower away and digging out the lawn mower. What do ya think? Is it done snowing? I figure if it does snow again I'm not doing anything with it and will just wait until it melts. :)

Howdy folks.

I shouldve brought a jacket today. Three months ago, 50 degrees was warm. After being so long in the mid 70's and higher, 50 is a bit chilly.

Still plenty of rain. Tiff likes to send her bad weather to us. It doenst matter how many times we tell her to keep it. She just doesnt listen.

With a last minute cancellation of Kat's practice, I was able to work a half hour of OT for a conference call. Then I went to the middle school softball game. Clover only has two middle schools. Yesterday was the day where they played against each other. Half of both teams are girls that I have coached in the last couple of years. So, every inning, I would walk between each side of the field to cheer both teams on. My old catcher, a fiery redhead, started "fussing" at me for cheering the other team, too. I either had to pull for both of them, or for neither one. It was really nice to see so many of my girls make it onto their school's team though. It makes me feel like I did something right while I had them on the fields. That I gave them enough knowledge and honed their skills to the point where they can be competitive at a higher level.

After that game, I went to watch Melanie's game. She got two pretty good hits last night, and one popfly out. She also managed to field two hits to her pretty well. She's definitely getting better and better. She keeps saying that she "wants to play like Kathryn." If she keeps going with it, she'll be able to do it. Right now, her team is still undefeated this season, and they are a little more than halfway through it.

Lets see.... Rain.... Colder temps.... softball.... more rain... more softball.... yep... Thats about all thats going on here.

Morgan's meeting went very good. I've started letting Morgan sit in on the IEP meetings. She's old enough to understand what we're talking about and it's time to for her to learn to advocate for herself. It also gives her a chance to see why we do certain things at school and give her a chance to ask questions. Now I'm done with school meetings until right before school starts next year. I'll meet with her teachers for next year before school starts to go over the folder full of info I will give to them.

Good morning all!

Did I really beat PD in here?! He mustve needed more coffee.

Weather is about the same, and there is absolutely nothing new.

OH! Yes there is! Kat was fully released from chiropractor's care yesterday. She is fully allowed to participate in softball now. I'll still need to keep an eye on her to make sure her back doesnt bother her, and she still needs a set of custom insoles for her shoes, but otherwise is good to go!

Hope everyone has a great day!

I put the snow blower away until next Winter. Checked out the lawn tractor and it started just fine. Some how I got talked into cleaning up the entire yard, using the weed wacker a few places and taking some yard waste to the recycling dump. This is the reward I got for thinking if I get that darn snow blower out of the garage I'll have more room to put my beer!

So, I started looking around to find a MSF safety course in my area. The only one I can find isnt too far away, but is $325!!! And it lasts one evening, two full days (Sat and Sun), followed by one more evening. That means that in addition to the $325, Mrs E will have to request off for two days and two evenings from work. The bonus to this particular one is that they supply the bike, and they administer the skills test at the end of the course.

So, I found another one thats a little farther away. I can bypass the beginner's section of the course because I do know the basics... where the throttle is, how to change gears, etc. And its a respectable $125. But they dont offer the skills test at the end of the course, and you have to use your own bike.

Ungh... And SC is (as far as I can tell) the only state that will not accept waivers from a third party tester (such as MSF). The way that the first course gets away with it, is that the test is actually administered. Where as every other state's course just gives you a waiver to take back to the DMV once the course is passed.

I guess now I just have to pinch pennies and ask Mrs E to sacrifice three weekends in a row (thanks to Kat's tournaments being held every other weekend) and do the first one.

Do the work now, have more room for beer for the rest of the summer. Its a tough choice, but I think you made the right decision!
