Good afternoon all.

Its DEFINITELY been a Monday. Our company is still in the process of migrating all of the former company's network to the new company's network. To do so, we've all had to leave our company laptops at work and connected to the network overnight all week. Except Friday. Friday, we took them home. This morning, I started out the door, knowing my laptop was still at work... It wasnt. It stayed on my floor as I drove away. Obviously, I realized the problem as soon as I stepped into my office. I called the wife. No answer. I called Kat's phone. No answer. From 7:30-9:00, I placed nearly two dozen calls between their two phones. Mrs E finally called back at about 9:30. She, very reluctantly, left to bring it to me. Got ten minutes down the road, then realized she forgot to grab the computer and had to turn around. She finally got here at about 11:00.

Yep. Definitely a Monday.

On another note, Kat had a pretty good tournament. Her team didnt do so hot, but she did. Sunday morning she got her first triple of the season. Mrs E screamed so loudly she strained her vocal cords and now sounds like she smokes three packs of cigarettes per day. I swear, that woman is a true embarrassment when she's at the ballfield. If you would like to watch Kat's triple, you'll have to check Facebook. It's on my page. But I must warn you now... Turn your speakers DOWN!!! TRUST me!!!

Now that I have my laptop, and lunch is over, and I get to actually get some work done!

Morning posse. Mom is doing in good in rehab. They keep telling her she's doing better than 95% of people with the same hip surgery. But she found out that she has to stay non weight bearing on it for 4 to 6 weeks. She is NOT happy. She'll be at the rehab place for another week. We'll have to move some stuff around her house so she can get a wheel chair around there. Fun stuff.

Liked it because she's doing well, not for the wheelchair part. Ugh.

I'm glad your mom is doing so well, JD.

We're in the process of moving the shop down a suite in the strip we're in. It will give us more room to groom and more room to board dogs as well. It didn't take me too long at work today. Only had two small dogs, both matted, to shave down. Made a run into Target for prescriptions on the way home. Of course, I had to stop in at Starbucks on my way out.

The tools that hubby ordered for leather working came in today so he's in his happy zone with new toys. I've got weigh in tonight. I am really hoping to have not gained. I didn't eat anything on purpose that would cause me to gain weight but the peanut butter and chocolate syrup sleep binge was about 2 days worth of points from what I calculated.

Tonight is Alex's night to cook supper. I think he's making spaghetti. Ever since Morgan showed me she could cook a meal on her own last week and I know Alex can do some things too, I've decided to designate a day out of the week where each one of the kids will completely cook dinner. They were less than thrilled when I told them that but hey, I've done it for all these years so it's time to give me a break.

Tomorrow will be a busy one. Cleaning my sister's house, afternoon dr appointment, and a run to Food Depot for some meats. They're having a good sale this week so I'm going to go stock up on meats. I should have had hubby do it when he went to get the stuff to make the dogs food last week but I forgot. I often wonder what they think when he goes through checkout with 60 pounds of meat to include chicken leg quarters, tripe, chicken gizzards and livers, and chicken hearts. I think our dogs are a bit spoiled now. I have noticed that Shrek's allergies seem to be a bit better. Not as much scratching and licking.

I'm officially out of House Blend.

Last time I checked tracking, it still hadnt been processed in Charlotte. With the way the rest of my Monday has gone, it probably detoured through the postal black hole of NJ. Time to start scouring my vape box to see if I still have some hidden gem before I head to a B&M store. I can't believe I was stupid enough to postpone ordering a replacement jug.

Tiff, Kat volunteered to cook dinner last night from start to finish. Last week, she and I had an "argument" on if she was capable of doing it. She said she could. I didnt think she would be able. She seasoned the pork chops, started the water for mac n cheese, started the grill, got them cooking... After ten minutes, she hadnt gone back out to the grill to check the chops. After seeing an excess of smoke rolling out from the lid, I go out there... I'm glad I didnt just leave her alone. They were ALMOST burned. I flipped them, lowered the heat, placed them properly over the correct burners, etc. After five minutes, she was just about to drain the macaroni, and showed no signs of going back to the grill. After a not-so-suble hint, she pulled them off the grill. I cut one to make sure they were fully cooked, which they were, and she started cheering "I DID IT!!!" :glare: No Kat... You placed them on the grill and took them off the grill... If I hadnt said anything, you three kids would be eating charcoal for dinner.

Time to head home. Even though Kat's team just did a three day tournament, they still have practice tonight at 7:30. ::sigh:: No rest for the ugly. Or stupid.

However, I do hope everyone has a great evening.

What a Monday! Of course y'all have heard about the Amazon sale on the 15th? Well... they decided that just before that, they would do a "test period" with USPS - we get to handle ALL OF THEIR PARCELS! None going through UPS, FEDEX or anything else. The early morning guy, who is normally off Mondays, was in at 12:30 am for their first drop of parcels. And the supervisor apparently came in somewhere between 2 and 3 am, because he was complaining about being there over 12 hours by the afternoon. :p We actually didn't get much more than normal parcels today, I have a feeling it's going to pick up briskly in the next couple days! Oh, and we have one window guy on vacation and one was out sick, so I got 2 hours of OT this afternoon. Meh, it would bug me less if I knew ahead of time, but I'l take the OT! :)

I also liked that one for your mom doing well and not the wheelchair. :)

We had a family friend that had hip surgery, she's one of those people you can't tie down to keep her still. Between her son, daughter, grandkids and me, we all were checking in on her to make sure she was using the walker like she was supposed to and not leaving it sit in the corner, and to make sure she wasn't driving. I wish you luck JD, some people can be really sneaky!

Tiff, I don't think the stuff you eat when you're sleepwalking should count! :p

James, suggest to Kat to set the timer when she's cooking stuff like that. I do it even when I'm boiling water and need to leave the kitchen for a minute, just in case I get distracted. :)

Alex did good with making dinner tonight. He made turkey smoked sausage, green beans and bread.

I did not gain this week but still only lost 4/10ths of a pound. :( It wouldn't be so bad if I could only remember eating and enjoying the pb and chocolate syrup. Still a loss is a loss and I'll take it for sure. I'm at a grand total of 68 down now.

Hubby goes back to work tomorrow. The days drag by when he's gone and fly by when he's home.

I'm off to decide what to eat for dinner.

Good morning all.

House Blend has landed in Clover! Just not at home yet... It's kinda odd. Normally the scans show it going into and out of (what I would assume to be a postal hub) Charlotte before it gets to Clover. Not this time though. It just showed up in Clover.

Not really all that much going on. I've been car window shopping for the last few days. I've decided that I need to get a newer one. I wont be getting one ANY time soon, but I'm trying to figure out whats out there that I can afford that I want. I'm trying to find either a hatchback or wagon, something that will seat four comfortably, or five uncomfortably. I need the hatch/wagon because of the space needed for softball gear. Oh, and it has to have a manual transmission. And a turbocharger. :D

We're supposed to have some nasty storms roll through sometime around lunch. Yay. :glare:

Time to get to work. We've got some bigwig in town this week and Douche Canoe may be bringing him by to look at the warehouse. Hoorah.

I'm already home from cleaning my sister's house. I got an early start. I stopped to pick up a large scrub brush for the kitchen floors. The kids will be thrilled when I show them how to scrub a floor on their hands and knees. It desperately needs to be done and what better way to get it done than to make your kids do it.

I've got an appointment this afternoon at 1. House work for me in small doses today. My hips are killing me when I get up to walk. Once I'm up and moving a couple of minutes it's not so bad but the initial act up moving is horrible. It's been getting progressively worse the past couple of months and nothing seems to relieve the pain. No point in going to the doctor about it since there's nothing they can do except tell me to take ibuprofen or something like that. I'll add it to the long list of ailments I'm gradually accumulating. You'd think that getting rid of 68 pounds would help it out but it doesn't seem to have made any difference really.

Hope everyone's day is going well!

All that nasty weather we were supposed to get this morning apperently fizzled out as it got to Charlotte. We got a little rain and a stiff breeze, but not much else. More storms in the forecast later this evening though. The good news is, that the cooler temps might just convince me to ride my bike to work after tomorrow. They're calling for more rain tomorrow, too.

Y'all have been quiet today....

Tiff... I cant like that post.
