Hubby is always the adventuresome when it comes to food. His hunting buddy got two deers this time and hubby is keeping the hearts. To eat. He's looking up recipes and methods on youtube right now. Gross, gross, gross!!! He can have all he wants and there is no need to share. *gags*

I absolutely love brussel sprouts. Especially in a light butter sauce that completely defeats the purpose of it being a vegetable. Lemon pepper is good on them too.
This was the first time I tried them roasted. I just stuck them in a ziplock with a couple tablespoons of olive oil, a pinch of sea salt, and some fresh ground pepper, then shook them up. Put in the overn and roasted - YUM! And I normally love them with butter, or cheese sauce, or just plain too. :)

Home all went well I think. Fells like its asleep needles and pins but a slight throbbing is starting.:lol:Glad your feeling better banrz.
Thanks! And I'm glad everything went well today for you! :)

Not sure if I'd want to eat the heart, probably very tough and chewy. But I would try it because I'm curious.

I would think you could use the same recipe as for beef hearts. I love beef hearts.

There really aren't any butcher shops around here that I know of. What a shame. He just finished cleaning them up.

One of my favorite things to eat are fried chicken livers with hot sauce. Boy, I haven't had that in months and months. For some strange reason they are not diet friendly. I'll treat myself to some once I make to goal.

Fried is the only way I will eat chicken livers.

I had an aunt that made something with beef liver that was awesome, maybe some kind of creamy sauce?? It was hard to tell it was liver. But she passed away when I was in boot camp, so I'll probably never figure it out. :(

If you find it, please post! :) Aunt Dot (and my mom, her sister) were from around Oxford PA, so it could be the right one. I remember it had a white sauce, beef liver and she put it over wide noodles, if that helps. :)

Funny moment this morning getting hubby to help put my ear rings in. the right side went well just had him hold the ear ring in place till I put the back on. The left was the fun side. I held the earring and he tried to put the back on. After 3 drops he finally got it on.  He made it a major undertaking flash light whole 9 yards.  Note to self get a set of wires.

Good morning. Today I'm going to granny's to visit with her. I imagine she gets pretty lonely by herself there so I'm really glad she'll be moving in with my parents very soon. Then she'll be a lot closer to where my sister and I both live as well as my parents being home in the evening after work.

That reminds me of something funny I had to help hubby with a couple of weeks ago. Can't really explain it but it was funny looking.
