This morning hubby got up and started talking about getting another dog. We want a big intimidating dog with a good disposition. He asked me this morning if I had been alone here would I have answered the door. Hill NO! That's when he said we need a big dog again. I have no idea what breed at this point. It will be several months probably. I wouldn't mind having an English Mastiff. I do know I do not want a dog that I have to groom. Deshedding and bath only. No hair cuts.

Hubby and I dove into the wrapping and have it all done now. It's time to start rotating showers.

Good morning!

Love, love, love my vacuum sealer. It saves tons of money by being able to buy stuff in bulk.

Glad Mr. Tiff was home! We had someone knock on the front door at night last week. I was home alone but answered the door when I saw what he was holding. His dog Holly has been missing since the 15th, he's desperately looking for her, and was holding out his flyer. Victor was right next to me, he said "Don't open the door, I'll just leave the flyer right here!" and left. Tiff, you need a boxer. They look intimidating, are super sweet, and don't have the health issues of a mastiff. We had English Mastiffs. You need a full time job to support each one, honest.

Took the day off today over here.

I hope he finds his dog. Poor guy!

I seriously doubt we would get an english mastiff. I love giant dogs but really just want a regular sized big dog. Yes, boxers are on my list. We'll end up making a list and researching each one. I know boxers are really sweet but are they stubborn or pretty easy to train?

We don't go through near the amount of food we did when we had Shrek. I still miss him though. I'd trade the cost of food to have him back.

Realistically any breed could have health problems. Pretty much luck of the draw. The Rotties I've had all developed their problems around 9-10 years old which is the normal life span for them. The E Mastiffs we have is going strong at 8. All luck of the draw. No matter how good you think the breeder is there's no way to really tell. After all they just want the money. :2c: shutting up now.

Nice looking group there Tiff! :)
What she said!

Tiff, Boxers are pretty easy to train. They do have a very short attention span, so you work with them in small doses really often. They get bored very easily so they need something to do. If you forget to give them new and interesting toys, they will eat your laundry basket. All 3 of our have been this way so I'm thinking it's a breed trait.

Sonny will be here in the morning.

Enjoy having him there with you tomorrow. Wipe all chores off the chart. It's a day to do nothing at all.

Food was good tonight but I didn't get to taste some of what I wanted to. I had turkey, and a couple of bites each of dressing, squash casserole, and sweet potato souffle. By the time I finished that my stomach was protesting and cramping so I had to stop. It took a lot of will power to not eat that pecan pie. I at least got to taste a little bit of what I wanted. I'll try again tomorrow at my moms. I still haven't made that green pea salad. I just can't seem to make myself get off the couch to do it right now. I set the alarm for 6:45 so I can get it done then. By the time I get it done the kids and hubby will be up and we can do Christmas with the kids. At 11 it's back on the road to my moms house for the day.
