Oh damn! Somehow my favorite coffee mug got broken! I use it every day on my Brew & Go, it's the perfect size. I made one cup, then made another, and just noticed it has a crack that goes almost completely around the cup! I didn't hit anything with it, there's nothing in the sink... what the heck??

I think moving would be the only certain answer to avoiding winter! :D

Only if you move to the Equator!

I have an Australian friend. Christmas falls in the summer for them. I don't think I could ever get used to that. And summers is Australia are HOT.

Internet keeps going down over here, darn it all. They can't get a service call for us until the 15th. WHAT?????? Frontier is just craptastic.

carry on.....

Dislike....

I get to cook tonight...which might not sounds that appealing if you do it all the time, but I enjoy it and don't have time to much. Chicken Kiev sounded good...or my version of it.

It was weird enough to spend Thanksgiving and Christmas in Hawaii! We put the turkey on a rotisserie on the BBQ to keep from overheating the house! And Christmas lights on palm trees are just not quite the same... :p
But is WAS Hawaii...

Punkin, how are you and the new coffee set up getting along?

We are enjoying the new setup. Trying different grind size makes a big difference in the final product taste. Also buying freshly roasted beans vs old ones in the grrr store is a huge plus. No matter how we goof it up, it still tastes better than those k-cups. The size of the brewer is smaller than I first thought which turns out to be perfect for us. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. It does take longer to make in the morning but it is worth it. :)

On average, how many grams/tbsp of coffee do you use for a full pot?

I'm glad you are both getting along with it. I always set ours up before I go to bed, so the first one up just has to turn it on.

Not sure how much I put in there, I'll measure it for you. Probably not tomorrow, we're spending the night at the camper so I won't have a scale available. Roughing it.

I made a mistake this morning. :( Tried a new way of making coffee - cold brewing. It came out very well, tastes fabulous! But dang! It's strong!! The mistake I made was drinking all of it, should have maybe done just half. I used one cup of beans ground up into a quart mason jar, then filled with water and stuck in the fridge for a bit over 12 hours.
