Thank you for explaining. It sounds intriguing although I can't do it in my current circumstances (if you saw my table you'd understand lol). It's one of those more advanced things that's on hold for me to try to explore at a later time.
There's always room for one more mod... LOL

Just something to tuck away as you battle the cravings :)

I started with the Halo Triton kit too! They're good little starter kits, as long as you get the adaptor for different tanks. I'm not a fan of their tanks though, the coils go bad too quickly.

Then I moved up to a mod and a nautilus mini within a few weeks. Then onto a Subtank. Then a whole crapload of tanks.

I stopped wanting cigarettes as soon as my sense of smell came back, and once I got a tank that didn't give me the grief that the triton tanks did. I soon became really sensitive to the smell of other smokers, it makes me a little nauseated now, actually. That's probably why I never liked tobacco ejuice.

I think sometimes all you need is a little more time. I remember when I was new to vapeing, a couple of times I gave into stress. Ended up back at my local convenience store, buying my usual pack. Never finished a pack I bought though, and every time it was less satisfying. The last time I did that, I only smoked one. That's all it took to realize that wasn't what I wanted anymore. Now an analog never even crosses my mind.

I found this helps me now also. I DIY, but I always make sure I have a bottle of my favorite ordered tobacco ejuice. When I need something special, I break that out, along with my favorite mod. It just takes time. Stick with it :thumb:

How do you guys handle the craving for smoking. I carry a pack with me for everywhere I go. Do you all do that, or do you throw them away? What helps you to focus your mind away from smoking thought?

I have not read the whole thread. So I could be late with my advice, but I would like to say you should not make excuses for yourself. If you want to quit smoking, just quit it. Carrying a pack of cigs is disgusting. Stop it. Quit smoking. You can do it.

This may be mean of me but a big help to me was my wife still smoking. The smell was and still is terrible. I never wanted one but there have been a few bad times where the thought of how one may help crossed my mind. I have been vaping for a year and a half and if vaping is outlawed like some jerks want I still couldn't pick one up.

You new guys have it easy! :p When I first started this journey many years ago the options were limited, started like so many, with a cigalike that did little for satisfying the crave. Went back to cigs. Then the ego became the new thing and it was a big improvement but the cartos of the day still made it like I was sucking on a cigarette filter with no omph! Went back to cigs. Then VV ego's and tanks started and I finally found a setup that started to satisfy the dreaded craves! I heard about Provaris, bit the bullet and got a first gen Mini and paired it with a Kanger Protank! Never looked back!:D Now I have a Provari 3 paired with a Subtank Mini... if that had been available back in the day I'd be celebrating a six year anniversary instead of 3!:pervy:

I know how you are feeling, as a 2 pack a day smoker for 36 years I have had a tough time. I bought my 1st ecig 7 yrs ago and would still smoke a pack a day with it. I'd try for a few months and then throw it in the drawer for 6 months then try again and never could come close to quitting. About 6 weeks ago I got a sub box mini and man what a difference.
I can actually get enough vapor and nic out of it to satisfy me.

I started off with tobacco flavors but for me that didn't work! I kept comparing them to my Marb's and and none of them tasted as good to me as a marlboro did so I kept wanting a cig. So I went to the vape shop and tried about 50 flavors. lol
Now for the past month I have been vaping grape and blueberry and that has helped a lot because it don't remind me of a cig and it taste better.
I still smoke 4 cigs a day 1 when I open my eyes in the morning and 1 after each meal. And I believe it's just habit making me do it. Because that's the only time I want one now and I'm starting to notice my good ole marb's that has tasted so good after a meal for so many years now are really starting to taste like crap.

So I figure I'll just keep going like I am now, avoid 36 cigs a day and let good flavor slowly chase away the cigs. And it seems to be working because I have noticed over the last few days that after I put out my cig I want to grab my sub box and get that taste out of my mouth.
I guess when it comes right down to it every cig you avoid is a victory and whatever works for YOU is the right way to do it!

What I do is keep a K1 filled with a tobacco juice that is as close to my brand as possible. My juice of choice is Halo Turkish bend.

Since I normally vape at 3mg, when I get a super strong craving, I just switch to my K1 and vape until I don't crave anymore. I also like how the k1 draws similar to an analog.it seems to work pretty good for me but it also helps that now whenever I try an analog, it tastes absolutely horrid to me.

But so far I have been 5 month without my pack a day habit! (Minus the few drags I have taken along the way) so I guess I'm doing something right...
