it's 2x28 ga kanthal, wrapped with 40ga Ni80, came out to around .6 ohms, 3mm. It's the smallest fused clapton that I have, anything bigger I'd probably have to have made it smaller, this works very nicely with airflow half closed, and at 28 watts. I only wish I had two of these tanks, so I could have the dual coil in one and the single in the other...but otoh it's very quick and easy to switch decks out. My friend made the wire, I can make them too, but his are much nicer.

What could be the problem, got cthulhu v2 to wick properly but when filling the tank and putting the fill cap back on, i seem to get minor leaking/sweating between juice control ring and tank. Any ideas on how to fix or what could cause it?
Try turning your tank upside down once the fill cap is started on the threads, tighten it upside down...works a charm

I can wind .6 or even .8 with 28x32 Clapton wire on mine, but I just don't want to go that High of wattage to run it, you know. I like to stay around 12-16 Watts on my MTL, plus, I have never seen where anyone does MTL with Clapton's. Wide Open Lung Hits, Oh He!! Ya.

Also, make double sure that the Tank section is Fully screwed onto the base, if you haven't already that is. All these sections don't make it any easier, and I also make sure that the deck is not cocked in some way when I screw in the base pin (510) and I check the black o-rings on each section for nicks and rubber pieces missing or peeling away.

Oh, That's why I pre-ordered the Black one, for me to try my hand with the Velocity Style deck.

AAh, another Single Coiler like me. I was starting to think that we were going Extinct.

Yes there are quite a few of us around.

I see no reason to double the heat in the atty, double the juice consumption without getting twice the vapor and flavor, and cutting the battery life in half.

Question, I asked about TC wire before, anyway what would work better in the cthulhu 24, 26, or 28 gauge SS wire?

I like the 24 Gauge in Kanthal but I am not sure if that will translate into me enjoying it in stainless steel. Also should I go with the 304 or the 316 SS wire? Maybe buy both? Both pretty cheap. Really excited Stainless has half the resistance of Kanthal that means we can make some monster coils if we so desire and have twice the room to do so!

I found that if I have the Juice Control ring turned DOWN into the base too far upon assembly, it won't allow the tank section to seal completely. If you've got the juice control wide open (like I prefer) that can cause an issue.

Yes, I hear that I do. That said, I will be try'in the dual (Velocity) style deck as soon as my "Black" one comes in, just to see what that's all about, But, I do use my Magma in single coil mode (tried a dual setup and was not all that impressed, for the reasons you articulated).

Is anyone having problems with the airflow control ring moving around very easily once it is set to the desired airflow? ...

Maybe the latest version of this Cthulhu has fixed this irritating problem?

They apparently went to the opposite extreme with mine. It is so tight I gave up trying to use it. I have it wide open and that's where it stays, whether I like it or not. Luckily that's where I like it.
