I was funin about the volts vs watts thing but we have to take in amps and battery sag. there can also be differences between two of the same
mods. since I run kayfuns ,those finicky little things, the differences are more noticeable than a kabuki which to me is muted just a little. the kabuki is a great
tank but it's limited to what you can do with an aspire coil. if a good rebuildable option becomes available I'll start using it again . off to prisnyland ttfn.
Funny, I used to really believe that volts tasted better than watts. Today I sat down with a Kabuki, My P3, a 2.5, and my Radius. All were set to the same power according to the math, but the P3 and 2.5 were in volt settings. So I did after all notice a difference in one mod out of the three. The Radius was a little off, the vapor seemed just a little bit harsher to me. The P3 and 2.5 seemed identical. So we have three different boards, and a perception on my part of something different.
I sat and thought about this, and really there could be several explanations. It could be psychosomatic. Without doing a blind or double blind test, other factors could have influenced my perception.
As I didn't adjust anything when going from mod to mod several times, I didn't adjust for taste. Perhaps the Radius has better conductivity in the output pins, maybe it's output is slightly higher. Either way, to me it didn't prove anything one way or the other because without adjusting for taste on each individual
device there is no way for me to conduct a fair test based only on the math.
I still prefer to set my power to volts only because of old habits and all that, but when I set my Radius to where I like it with either my Kabuki or my Russian 91's the experience is consistent and great as far as taste goes.
I'm really glad that my wife gave me the Radius for Christmas, it has changed my thinking about the whole volt/watt thing.
