Customs Discussions -Outside Canada Orders/Shipping/Returns

Ive got 2 orders of just E-cig components (absolutely no juice) coming from China at the moment. One from HG one from EMall. Theyre my first China-origin shipments for E-cig components, will be interesting to see if they arrive or not.


One question for any Canadians here; has anyone from Canada had an E-cig shipment refused by customs that did NOT have any e-liquids in it?? (empty carts and no bottles of juice). Technically, customs can deny whatever the heck they want for whatever reason they want, so I could see them denying an E-cig entry regardless of wether it has any nicotine included or not, but am unaware of any cases in which this has happened. Anyone?

I just received a letter from sante canada telling me that one of my order had been resent to the sender , hope others items won't go that route

Speak of the devil, my HG order just arrived... and im pretty ...... off.

I was told by HG that if I put in special ordering instructions "ship empty cartridges" that I would receive empty cartridges. THE CARTRIDGES were not empty, they were Marlboro (which smells like urine BTW). Had customs decided to inspect this package im sure it wouldve been denied entry. That really infuriates me as I did exactly what I was told to do by HG to ensure my kit would not contain any e-liquid, and they still sent me god forsaken e-liquid....

Now im getting worried about my Emall order, as right on their website for the 510 kits it says "Marlb Hi" as what the cartridges are, I asked Di on the forum and she said they only ship empty catridges (but uhh it says right on your website the kits come with Marlb Hi cartridges....). I then asked her specificly about why their website says the cartidges contain Marlb Hi and why she told me (before I ordered) that theyre empty carts, and now she wont reply to me..... if that order does arrive (and now I suspect it may not because they may have shipped me filled cartridges) and it has filled cartridges.... im going to be incredibly ...... off. Nothing I hate more than being lied to so someone can make a sale.

If I may make a suggestion. I think we might be shooting ourselves in the foot with this thread. It is possible CC reads this, google picks it up with keywords. Posting things like "I'm glad they didn't find this or that" is giving them a blueprint of what to look for next time. I think posting might be rubbing their noses in the fact they missed or overlooked something, and might encourage them to look a bit harder next time.

I think the original intent of this thread was to share information that was know to both CC and the importer, such as my shipment of X was stopped and they sent me a letter, not provide information on where CC's weaknesses are and give them a heads up.

I know everyone means well, and is trying to be helpful. I really don't want to offend anyone bringing this up, but I think that angle should be considered.

Hi All,

I am a new e-cig user from the GTA. The first time I heard about e-cigs was about a month ago. I was in Winnipeg and drive past a small sign posted on a boulevard in Winnipeg just before I moved to Ontario. I was intrigued and started doing all kinds of research.

I call myself a recreational smoker in the sense that I do not smoke everyday. I used to smoke regularly for 6 years and have been on and off over the last 10 years. Now, I am back into it when I am very stressed out, or when I am relaxing and have a few drinks with friends. Due to being in the last stages of completing my degree...the stress is on with school work and getting ready to do my co-op component. I have found myself craving analogues like crazy the past few weeks withthe amount of disappointments I have had to overcome. I had some analogues on the weekend but was revolted by the smell and taste of them...but really needed that nicotine.

Which brought me to this forum at the beginning of the week. I felt I was ready to buy an e-cig. I originally wanted the BLU ones..but with their disclaimer about no longer shipping to Canada, I felt I was going to be constantly met with the same. I did look on soem of the Canadian sources here, but none that I found offered different flavours like BLU did, or the website did not allow me to sign up due to a website error.

I ended up on the NJOY website...didn't necessarily find what I wanted (no coffee flavour or chocolate favour) but they did have different flavours nonetheless. Their e-cig looked the way I wanted mine to.....and I put an order in. Then while I was perusing around some more on the site I found their disclaimer about no longer shipping to Canada as well. So I waited (December 28th) for them to contact me and credit back my credit card....oh, but wait! THERE'S MORE!

They not only did not credit it back, I received an email stating it had been shipped through DHL and a tracking number. That's when I got worried. Would customs confiscate it? No, they didn't. I received the shipment this morning (December 30th) at 11:30 am.

So now, this makes me wonder.....do these companies put the disclaimer up about not shipping to Canada and ship anyway?? Is the disclaimer there to save them from any liability? If this is the case...then I'm disappointed that I didn't try ordering from BLU because they had the flavours I wanted. now I will have to search the forums to find pre-filled carts that are compatible with NJOY NPRO but are the flavours I want because I really don't want to deal with filling my own....especially considering I don't soke much to begin with. I bought the starter kit, case, 10 menthol and 20 vanilla carts. Man, this thing is brilliant! I'm only sorry that I didn't buy a spare atomizer.

However, I have now placed three orders from the UK all with e-juice and none had any problems arriving at my doorstep. Two of these were strictly juice.

UK do not have China's price advantage over Canadian Suppliers. Is there a reason you choose to buy from UK ?

The only vendor I found who ships EcoPure to Canada is located in the UK.
Maybe that's also what he bought?

Is there anyway to get this product with nic in Canada.

As a physician you are exempt from the Food and Drug act restrictions on nicotine...
