Sorry for the delay in responding. I was waiting for her to see the doc today for her post-op exam.

They did put her in a weight bearing boot today. But he told her she still has to use the crutches for a couple of weeks and ease into putting weight on her foot due to range of motion issues in her foot, as well as atrophy of muscles in her leg etc. She has to do PT 3-4 times a week for 4-6 weeks. He also told her it would be 3 to 6 months before she is able to return to work 100%. Not what she was hoping to hear there.

At any rate...things are progressing forward and she's happy about that. Being able to put her foot on the ground again has seemed like a long time coming. Being able to shower w/o wrapping it. Little things we take for granted.

I will update again after some PT apptmts. :)

Her pain level is bearable, or so she says. She won't take her pain meds probably like she should because of the boys. She's hurting but ignoring it best she can I guess you could say.

Yes, slow but slow is about right MK.

There are still concerns and questions that we are currently presenting to the attorney. Since she is in a boot now, she can drive. But guess what...she doesn't have a vehicle. That HAS to be corrected and right flippin now!! (notice a hint of agitation and loss of patience in my voice...LOL)

Other things we just need explained to us that we don't quite understand. Like how is she going to be compensated for her loss of wages in a settlement. Tons of questions...all a PITA. Momma is about to get the boxing gloves out & oiled up! LOL.
