Thanks Edwv30. What he said.

I am curious...

- What is the name of the lab doing the testing? <---This is a BIGGIE for me!
- When will testing begin?
- Are the samples "blind" samples chosen from random batches?
- Is the lab a third party entity or do they have direct interest in FSUSA, (e.g. paid by FSUSA to do the testing)?

Thanks David!

I am very impressed with the direction you & Pam are taking things David! When there is an emerging industry that is still in its nebulous, formative stage as vaping is now, to keep it all moving forward as a serious business and not some "cabbage patch kids" flash in the pan (dating myself a bit there ;)) a leader needs to step forward with a vision of where it needs to go... and have the dedication and work ethic to take it there. I see that with FSUSA! I have purchased supplies and juice from plenty of vendors before I came across FSUSA many months ago, and I have nothing bad to say about any of them, most were courteous and relatively fast shipping with a decent product etc, but right from the first order with you guys I noticed something a little different, a little better and I am not just talking about the quality of the product you create and sell, I as many others can feel the care and dedication you and your family pour into the company! you create a sense of community and camaraderie amongst your customers as evidenced by this FSUSA forum here in ECF... I can't find any other supplier forum here that seems as close knit as this one here... people here act almost as an extended family :) and it is very nice!
There will always be some around that will try to hack away at your success, there are always a few out there like that in any endeavor... some just through churlish immaturity while with others it boils down to just plain old envy and jealousy, jealous that they lacked the where-with-all, vision and dedication that that you guys have shown as you grow your company into an industry leader and innovator! I can imagine how some days it must be hard to not let it drag you down... but you have definitely built up a very happy, dedicated and loyal customer base that would be the envy of any business owner ;)

Congratulations David, Pam and the rest of the crew at FSUSA! and please keep doing what you're doing, it IS a good thing for ALL of us that vape :)

thanks you, all of you Pamela and I appreciate it.
Our children are watching. And we pride ourselves in showing them how truly good this world can be when you have the right attitude, the courage and vision, and the drive to see it all succeed..
We will be using an independent Lab for testing that doesn't know us, or anything about the vaping community. They are paid to test, and give a full analyzed report of ingredients.
laymen's terms? what's in it. what levels etc. They will test and give a reports like an MSDS sheet.
You will know amounts of everything down to trace. You will know the boil point and vaporization point etc.
We will p ost results good bad or indifferent.
The reason we willing do this is we know who we buy our source ingredients from and they are the best anywhere.
We will then pay for scientific conclusion from the finest research professors in chemistry and biochemistry at the University of Arizona. The proper financial donation to the department will yield a well thought out quality analysis from true researchers highly respected in their fields of expertise.
We are going to put to rest all of the drama over diacetyl. Until now I have never seen anything other then hyperbole and speculation in parts per million and what it can and cannot do.
We are going to have all this research in hand and ready for when the day of change comes in this industry..

Do not ask when will we have the results. They will take however long they take. We are talking about researchers and scientists here. But we will keep everyone advised every step of the way. Posting everything given to us as it is given.

We have already posted that OSHA has passed us in inspections of both worker and customer safety. Now we are going to back that up with scientific proof that what we sell you is good, plain and simple.

I think where allot of people and me included is everytime I see the FDA and ecigs in the same sentence it's been trouble. I applaud you testing of the juice and anyone that doesn't want to know what's going into their bodies is unstable. But like I said the FDA involvement in any way shape or form bothers me. They have one goal.

Guys and gals, I've seen several similiar situations in other industries. And believe me when I say the FDA will be involved in the future of this industry. It is enevitable. Now the question here is really how do we want the FDA involved? Industries that have taken the inititive to clean themselves up, investigate all of their products and procedures, and maybe even set some standards or at least test under current acceptable standards for like industries quite literally remove most of the teeth of whatever federal agency (in this case the FDA) before they can really take a bite out of you. I applaud FSUSA for taking this initial step in getting this process started.

Oh, so the motivation is to prove diacetyl safe for inhalation?

Sorry, but I did not get that from what David wrote. I thought he was pretty specific on what his motivations are and I believe that he should be applauded for having the guts to stand up and fight for the ecig industry (i.e. us, those that use the ecigs because if they weren't available we would all be smoking analogs that have lots more parts of diacetly per ml of exhaled second hand smoke than a couple of the flavourart flavorings). He doesn't have all the answers right now but is willing to walk down that path to try and find some. So, can you tell me how you reached this conclusion?

ps. And that's all I have to say about that

I didn't get that from his post. (and personally, I think that it's ironic that people here would create a scene about one additive being inhaled when the majority of us have been inhaling thousands of incinerated chemicals and additives multiple times a day without starting a ruckus! If someone were really concerned about their lungs, they wouldn't be smoking in the first place!)

Thank you David and Pam for taking the lead in finding the answers that will allow consumers to make informed decisions about vaping and our health. I agree with Cozzicon that you need to limit your exposure, but applaud your apparent business model and approach to risk management. You set a fine example for others in the industry and your children to follow. You're not waiting around for someone else to figure out the answers to many of the questions that are posed on ECF everyday. Thank you. Happy Thanksgiving to your whole family - and staff too!
