I just found out I cannot ask in the experts section yet. I want to get pointed in the right direction.

I hope to get something that I can use for the next few years (is this practical) from the desk. Here is the question to get started.

I word from a desk for 12 hours a day. I don't want to have to get up from the desk but to stay put and work. Where should my education start? This unit will stay at the desk, it will not go out in the back yard or any place.

I don't know what dripping is, how a clearomizer is different than a tank or anything for that matter. I just want something for when I am working (not relaxing) at the desk.

What would you guys like for the desk bound solution and why?

V2's will be my portable solution until after I get the desk bound solution taken care of.

They have non battery Passthrough. Treat them nicely could last a long time. It would take a little extra working knowledge to get the right delivery device to attach to it that would be practical. I bought mine from vapor4life but they are available elsewhere. Mine is a 801 D connection. It's slimmer than 510. It's also 5 volt so you need 3.00 ohm delivery device and 2 amp charger to plug the USB for in to. So vapor4life has daily deals with a variety of percents off in the daily deals sun forum for there ecf thread. I'm using the carto with it, which I consider a little step back but mine is for driving, not desk so I can just go and not worry about which e cig to or two to grab and worry about how much battery life is left or if I'll need spare. Also you can get an adapter to use your 510 delivery devices with it so it serves a spare battery if you have a power outlet. There seems to be 3 or 4 different ones around. Most the passthroughs are battery dependent and 3.7 volt.

Would it be easier and quicker to get something that is battery dependent of it it worth the extra effort to go the non battery Passthrough?

I just researched this same scenario. I decided on a plain passthrough battery. Passthrough is being able to use the device while it is charging. My thought was the "no battery/always connected" solution and the passthrough battery were the same price. This way I have the option of going "cordless" if the cord gets in the way. Also some USB ports don't supply enough power for some of the devices. If you want to use a USB hub you will most likely need a powered one (from what I understand). Either way I would look for something passthrough and variable voltage.

The passthrough/battery like the X2 is the electric device that delivers power to the separate atomizer/cartomizer. You would get the longest use with your "juice delivery device" with a 6ml or larger carto tank. That is a device with a carto inserted into a tube filled with juice that feeds the liquid automatically into the carto. You should be able to post most anywhere now you have 5 posts. There is a section on ECF for tanks.

I would suggest avoiding things like clearos, vivi novas and other wick based atomizer devices. Jmho.

What is your budget?

There is no budget. I have found again that sometimes going cheap costs more in the long run.

I think my goal will be a desk based unit, a very portable solution I can use while bicycling, and things like that, then a midsized solution. The desk based one will be glued to the desk as that is where most of my life if used up. I would rather get it right if possible up front than bouncing around trying to save a buck.21st Century stuff going in the trash right now even though I only have analogs right now. The Blu stuff will get tossed next.

But sometimes going cheap may result in spending more rather than actually buying something is a pricey range, but not only benefit you and save more in the future.

Here is one option it has a 6ml bottle.

"Reo Grand

The REO 18650 (Grand) is a personal vaporizer milled out of block aluminum and is 100% mechanical, this means no wires. The benefit is a nearly indestructible unit that can take a beating, and a washing too. It carries a 6ml bottle on board (and comes with one extra bottle) that holds your e-juice, and runs on one AW IMR 18650 3.7 volt battery."

That is what I meant. Going cheap often cost more in the long run. With what I spent on Blue, 21st Century and Fin I could have had that bottom feeder and a couple of large bottle of juice.

When I start thinking about the portable solution I will probably regret the V2 as well.
