For me, drinking lots of water was the hardest thing to pick up. Even now I'll still get a bit hoarse if I don't drink enough while vaping, but it's not somoe kind of surprise (d'oh, humectants really do pull the water out of you :) )
Next was to be careful not to get juice in my mouth -- right at first I tended to overfill, not clear the cartos before putting them on, so I got juice in my mouth -- it can cause small sores if you leave some hot liquid stuck between lip and gum.
As to detoxing, other than needing one up higher in nic first thing in the morning, and at a couple of other trigger points (right after a meal, first time in the car in the morning), I was fortunate to not have much else to work through.

Depends on what you're looking for. Slim cigarette-style? "fat batt" like the eGo? Mod of some kind? What's your budget?

i'd like to get something about the same size as a regular analog .... as for my budget .... well anything really but i don't want to go super expensive i picked this up partly because its cheaper than analogs that and i couldn't stand that taste smell and shortness of breath and constant coughing with analogs

I am in week 2 and I think I am finally detoxing. Lots of purge and coughing going on. My lungs do feel worse now then they did before I quit. I am blaming this on starting at the highest nic level which is definatly too much (24mg). My new kit should arrive today (Halo G6 with 18mg cartos) I am hoping the juice is less harsh than the Green Smoke kit I am on now. Time will tell.

I had the tight chest feeling for a little while, maybe a few days. I didn't get it when I first started vaping, but a few weeks later. Since I was still smoking a few cigarettes a day when I started vaping, and the tight chest thing didn't happen until I stopped all the analogs, I do attribute the tight chest as a cigarette withdrawal rather than a vaping side-effect.

thanks for the support everyone ... quick question .... i have been advised against using 100% VG because i use cartos ... but i fear that i may have a slight reaction to the PG because after each round with my pv my throat feels tight ... should i get an atty or just stick with what i have right now which is an 80/20 PG/VG mix or should i switch and get an atty and try 100% VG .... also someone told me about Johnson Creek and they seem to only have either 100% PG or 100% VG .... am i missing something? is there anyway to get a mix with them because id really like to try their Tennessee Cured juice as i am a big fan of pipe tobacco

I use VG with attys, clearo, and yes cartos. The latter gives me the most problems but nothing bad---I thin it with distilled water.

I'd suggest something like the Volt with the manual batteries and PCC. It's reasonably priced and all of the reviews I'm hearing from them sing its praises. It's a little longer than a cigarette but the same diameter (roughly) and as I understand it, its performance is unmached for a small battery device. Go for the 78mm option if you don't mind a bit of extra length; those are 320mAh and should last you several hours between battery swaps, and the PCC will let you charge on the go so you're never without (as long as you keep the PCC charged, of course, but the battery in that is large enough to recharge your regular batteries half a dozen times or so.)

Here's my 2 cents, when you order your next juice get 100%VG and order double or triple flavor. Thin it with some distilled water, that way you'll not only be thinning the VG but the flavor back to the original flavor. I really don't think an additional PV is necessary.

how exactly do i do this .. your not the first person to say that .... i've only been doing this for round about 32 hours now so im still lost as to how to do a lot of stuff ... any help is appreciated

I had some respiratory detox issues for about a week, but the worst is the quitzits :( I started a high dose of vitamin C-helps your body get rid of toxins - and used peroxide on existing blemishes, but at almost 6 weeks in I'm just now starting to not see new developments in that arena. I can't believe I ever willingly put that poison into my body, and that isn't even the tip of the iceberg of possible damage.

i know ... its terrible .... i've always been aware of how it tears your body up but i enjoyed to feeling of the smoke and loved the breaks i got at work and the talks that happen over a cig so i stayed with it for years .... ill never go back to it now because ill always have my PV so whenever the urge hits me ill use that .... the chemicals and toxins in analogs should really make them illegal.

If you're referring to actual pipe tobacco and not e-juice, then you are no stranger to PG. Maybe the issue though is the higher concentration. It will take some getting used to. Not to be confused with having an allergic reaction to it.

You might also try the next lower nic strength and see if that makes a difference. It might not be the PG, but the nic in a different form than you are accustomed to.

There is an adjustment period - after all - remember that very first hit on an analog? Fortunately, this is a lot easier than that was.

Congrats to everyone that has newly quit smoking and swtiched to vaping. I just celebrated my one year anniversary and although some of the detox effects in the beginning might make you wish you were still smoking, it passes and you feel sooo much better!! I spent probably two months in the beginning being sick with chest colds... the most I'd been sick in years. I used to sarcastically tell others that all of the tar must have been sealing my lungs from infection! But, I can breathe better now than ever, my blood pressure is low and I don't have icy cold hands and feet anymore. Search around this website and you will find all the information and opinions to get you started on any pv and mod, best juices and diy practices. If it wasn't for ECF, I might have given up on e-cigs just out of sheer confusion and having started out with something that really wasn't the best. Whatever you do though, don't give up. It's well worth the time. :)
