Me too. Cannot use the charger dock without the mod. I have heard — true or not, that there will be inventory the latter part of the month or early Feb.
The Current date for stock on the PB Dampfer site is 23rd Jan but mine was dispatched on 18th so I am guessing stocks are arriving now :)

FYI, regarding dicodes quality service... They are amazing !
They have changed the glass on my extreme V2 (sent for the upgrade- spring loaded). There was like a kind of mist inside the glass.

Also, I received my no.6 with little scratches on top. They are proposing a repair at no charge. I'm not sure that I will send it as it will certainly have lot more with time...
That's great to hear about how good there customer service is, do they cover postage both ways too?

I'd be getting that fixed if it was mine, that scratch would bug me, like you say no doubt you'll scratch it yourself, but it should be you marking it for the first time lol

Haha, ill save you a spot behind me in the queue, been camping out on their doorstep for the past fortnight ;)

I really wish I had enough to get one of each, at first I thought the box looked weird but it has really grown on me, so No6 first, box soon after :thumb:

I agree, lol. I'm pretty sure that I must pay the postage to send it, like for the extreme v2+ upgrade. It's about 10$ CDN (6,32€)... And about 3 weeks of waiting (the worst part) lol

For the dicodes 6 owners, which batts are you using??

Although I haven't received the mod yet from PB Dampfer (and I can't wait) I grabbed two MNKE IMR 26650 MH46698 3500mAh batteries. I am reliably informed these are decent batteries

Ok. There are tywo types of MNKEs in the wild I think. The ones where the two lines of writing are closely spaced are the good ones, large spacing might not be. I was more thinking of length of the batts. The MNKEs are the shorter side (around 65.5mm) so should fit fine for length. I know Keith has ordered in the purple efest 4200 mAh which are longer at around 67.5 or so. I assume he has tried these in the 6 so Im sure all is good!

Thanks for sharing. Some haven't been tested so tough to really compare. Some brands put what they wish on the wrap.

I choosed 2 Keeppower IMR26650 (2015 version). The company is well known.
They used to put Panasonic cells in their 18650...

A full charge give 3.940 Ah (thanks to the battery capacitance in the Value menu in dicodes). To compare, a LG HE4 give 1.667 in the dani box... And 1.854 with a Sony VTC5 in my dani extreme v2+. *Don't forget to reset the value each time you change your battery to verify their power.

For my taste in Temp Control, with reasonable coil (higher value than about 0.5 Ohms (NiFe)) 15A max continuous discharge rating battery is more than enough. With let say 20w, The temperature (215-230 deg C) is reached in less than half a second and the power drop to about 5-10 Watts (depend of the atomizer air intake).

*IMR (INR FOR samsung, but a little less durable and they don't make any 26650). They are more stable than any other kind for high discharge current. Never put something helse than IMR battery !

The MNKE was well known for mecanical mode users for their hi pulse and hi continuous discharge rating. The compagny was bought by IMREN so hard to determine the quality of the bare cells now.

Best bare cells manufacturing and well known are Panasonic (Sanyo is owned by Panasonic) and Sony. Samsung and lg for the Corean. But they do different quality. The best ones are sold to car manufacturer (Tesla to not name it). It's really tough to know who are the supplier of those 26650 battery cells. The market is more on the 18650.

FYI: Types of Battery Cells; Cylindrical Cell, Button Cell, Pouch Cell

The important think to remember is to buy your battery from trusted store.
Otherwise, some can be rebranded.

If you wish to compare: Battery test-review 26650 comparator

Hope that I've been well informed.:?:
(Sorry for any mistake as my first language is french)!
Don't hesitate to add your touch !:thumb:

I'm using MNKE 3500mah & Keeppower 5200mah, both fit well - no length problems.
The Keeppower are nice capacity barrels if you are running ~10-15A max. According to the internal menu, I'm getting ~4000mah out of it (for comparison: ~2600mah with a LG HG2 on my PP2+).

Hi dicoders, any comments on the heater protection mode?

Have a look at the manual, page 7. Pretty good description, better than I could. :)
