Also heard the introduction price period is now officialy over, so expect them to go up in price (although my supplier still has a batch comming he ordered for introduction prices, he is working on maintaining that price, but not sure if he can manage it)......pretty bumped out about the wait and possible price hike, might skip it in the end if it takes much longer.....luckily I got my No6 to tie me over :)
The last official word I heard was a bump from 199€ to 229€ starting next month (03/2016).

Figured I'd chime in with some impressions after a few days of use.

I was really surprised at how compact and solid the No 6 is (even though I expected it). Kind of like how the Provari 2.5 felt after a chinese Lavatube. Definitely has a "high-end" feel (Heh, especially next to the iStick I've been using). There is a very slight rattle at the small buttons, but it doesn't bother me the slightest. The battery cap is great, and I really love the spring-less design. I have a purple Efest and a Basen which is much shorter and it just screws down further. Overall it feels great in either hand, although definitely right-hand biased; a very tiny con, in particular when driving or using the mouse on a PC.

I really like the 510 connection. The inserts on most of the chinese devices end up rattling and coming out after a couple month of abuse, but I'm definitely not expecting that to happen here. The pin also feels nice; you really feel it engaging and providing some resistance when screwing in an atomizer. I was worried about the screen being on top because some tanks tend to leak out (ehhem, Aromamizer...), but it seems really solidly sealed. Great that it's flush with the top. The display itself is nice too, with thick, beefy characters.

The Titan color is perfect in that it works really well with both black and SS tanks; neither one looks out of place. I like the smoke stack logo and appreciate that the brand name and various logos aren't plastered everywhere.

As for the menu, I was bracing myself for a serious learning curve, but was pleasantly disappointed. It's a little annoying that after selecting a value, it re-selects it with the timer before turning off the screen. The auto-timer thing when going into the extended menu also seems like an annoying little left-over from single-button operation, but I like that most of the "deeper" options are buried in there and there is no reason to go there in regular use.

Waiting on some SS wire to really play with the TC modes. The included Dicodes wire was waaay too thin for my liking. Too thin to even work in a Subtank RBA.

I'm a little disappointed with the battery life of the 26650s I got (a purple 3500mah Efest and a Basen 4200). I got spoiled by the original Evic VT with its 3 days of use before a recharge, but that was before I was running dual claptons at 30+ watts, so I guess it's to be expected. Overall though, this thing is definitely a pleasure to use, and I'm glad I didn't settle for another Chinese contraption. Unlike most of those, my old Provari, despite gathering dust in a drawer somewhere due to simply being kind of obsolete, still works like a champ on the odd day that I take a trip down cartomizer memory lane. I expect this device to be of similar longevity.

Oh, and another pic:

Nice! I've been using a Dani box for almost a month now and I love it. The slower menu speeds makes for less frantic changes and using the fire button when you're in the menu lets you get out of a highlighted selection. Interesting.
I've tried a couple of different atty's with the Resistherm wire and have had good results with some and not so good with others. It seems that higher resistance builds work better in TC and the Dicodes wire makes that a little easier. Dicodes recommends a build of .5Ω to 1.5Ω in their Application Note for temperature controlled vaping. I think the higher resistance is masking the static resistance of the atty better and makes it easier for the device to read the resistance change.
As far as leaking attys, its the quickest way to the drawer. When an atty can't keep the juice in the tank, I fix it or move on. I don't care for the sticky mess or risk damaging a mod.
I'm still enjoying my Provi 2.5's I just build for lower power. They are just too nice to retire.
Just for fun what is the serial# of your device, I'm interested how many out getting out there. Mine is #225.

I'm thinking about selling my blue Dani-Box because I hardly use it. I always grab the ML Class because I greatly prefer it's ergonomics so the only thing the Dani does is gather dust.

I have been doing exactly the same

Mainly using my SX Mini's, along with Rolo's and VTC Mini

The dicodes box is just gathering dust, used it for about a 3rd of a tank and that's it

Its that menu & screen meh

This is true...What do you think? Is it a Great Box Mod?
At first I thought so because it's a Dicodes so it has to be great, right? It has some nice features such as heat protection (when using kanthal) and power boost modes but you can set up a similar power curve on the ML Class to get the same boost effect. Imo, the only thing the Dani-Box has going for it are better threading on the battery cap and you can set the minimum discharge limit to a lower value. I think the ML Class feels better in the hand, the fire button is much better and I prefer the menu system. The SXi-Q software is also a plus as it lets you tweak your device. To me the Dani-Box is just meh. It's okay but that's it imo.

Thank you Sir.

I will think about it.

Just about ready to pull the trigger, and would like your opinion.

Thanks, Jim
I can't help believe you would be happy with the Dani box. I had my doubts until I used it for a few weeks. It has been simply outstanding. And with a two year warranty I feel it will continue to be awesome. Absolutely no buyers remorse on this end.

Thanks!

I have recently purchased 2 DiCoDes Tiny for my KayFun Mini V3, and am very pleased with them.

Perhaps a DiCoDes No. 6 will be next?

Thanks All, Jim
