So I was searching around for nicotine suppliers on the theory that it would be cheaper to buy in bulk from the supplier. I stumbled across a site which has nicotine in propylene glycol at 7.5% W/V, isn't that equivalent to 75mg/ml?

It's Blip Labs, though it looks kind of expensive, 15ml of 7.5% W/V costs 40 bucks. Anyway, am I correct or is it less/more?

Interesting that the only thing they sell is nicotine, and only in 15ml and 30ml bottles. It looks like some strong stuff, but I prefer to purchase from suppliers I know. Don't even know who they are, where they are, how long for shipping, quality of product. I just wouldn't chance it.

Says right on the site....

Arlington, Texas. Though not much more info than that, and they accept PayPal.

The website does not mention anything about the use of ecigs. Maybe they don't even know about the ecig. It states that it is for research. I'd stick to suppliers that sell it specifically for (and know about) ecigs.

Heh.

I'm gunna go out on a limb here and guess.........

Grad student/lab worker/whatever who vapes and saw an easy way to make extra money.

Buck says that website doesn't last.

I just ordered some, i'm hoping it should be here tomorrow as anything in texas is usually next day.

Personally, I'd rather order from a lab than random resellers, at least this way I know what I'm getting is pure, bonus points for them being stateside and not having to worry about customs. Lately even my brass connector orders have been getting opened and inspected thoroughly by customs.

nope dont think so... go read Johnson's Creek PDF testing... they submitted their liquid which was 6.97%. 7.5% of a 15 ml btl is about 1.17 ml per bottle.

What I find hillarious is that the website warns Federal agencies not to enter... Think they will listen?

EDIT: Looking at TW sites and their testing of their 36 mg the volume was only 1.8%... Let me know. But then on the other it shows 9.39 percent nic

Nerf let us know how it goes...I googled w/v Percentage and got this Website..Weight/Volume Percent ...it looks to me that that 75% equals 7.5g's per 100ml...My math seems off today...but thats 7500mg per 100ml or 75mg per ml???

So seems equal to me!

See that is where I am confused also.. since weight was not mentioned not sure how this formula can be used... the only thing I can come up is with the conversion of 10mg/ml.... doing one for one... assuming it is equal weight to volume the closest I can come up with is 50... 7.5/15(total volume of liquid)*100

But this stuff is already premixed with pg, 7.5 % nic, in fact...exactly what JC has in theirs. Maybe this is specifically made to be used as juice? Really all you would have to do is add flavoring, or this could be no flavor juice as is. At that, then, $40 per 15 ml is real expensive, you are getting exactly what is in a bottle you can buy for 10 or 15 bucks, minus the flavoring or extras. Or am I offbase here?

According to this:

Safety (MSDS) data for nicotine

The density of pure nicotine is 1.01 g/cm^3, since 1cm^3 == 1ml, we know that pure nicotine is 1g/ml or 1000mg/ml. 7.5% of that 75mg. For the record, I had seen this before and knew it before I ordered, but I couldn't find it again to post. ^_^

Like I said the closest I can come up with is 50 not 75. Since I don't even do 48 I would be totally unware of pricing. Maybe the OP should try emailing to be sure. As I said Johnson's creek reported tested at 6.97%, according to their PDF, and I KNOW they don't market 70 ml juices.

I would like to know maybe I will shoot them an email. I thought JC was testing as marketed.

That was the missing pice that I could not find for conversion. so 7.5% of 15 ml is 1.7ml of total volume... ml at 1.01 gm per? That is if the 7.5% is based on total volume. now when you take the volume of solute are you taking total volume as I am or are you just taking the volume of the nic? 7.6/15ml*100 = 50

I think you're trying to make this more complicated than it really is.

100% w/v nicotine - 1001mg/ml
10% w/v nicotine - 101.1mg/ml
7.5% w/v nicotine - 75.075mg/ml

It's already in a mg/ml format, what does the overall volume have anything do with concentration?

If you *really* want to include the overall volume, do it as such:
7.5% (.075)*15ml = 1.125g
1.125g->mg = 1125mg
1125mg/15ml = 75mg/ml

Actually I was using the formula that the OP posted to see where they got their info. was so caught up in trying to figure the weight conversion that the remaining conversion were lost...lol And you must have been posting this just as I was editing out everyithing I typed!!! When the lights came on...LOL!

It is priced at $20 for 15ml and $40 for 30ml. I don't know what shipping costs are, I didn't investigate.
That is for 3.8%
The 7.5% is $19.99 and $74.95 + shipping
As it is about twice the strength of 36mg, if I cut it 50/50 with PG I would get 30ml of 37.5mg at a cost of $19.99 plus shipping, not really a deal IMHO. I guess if the FDA takes down all the suppliers and this is the only option, then I would try it.
