So I was interested in getting my first vv. Budget to me is quite important and after doing a bit of research I figured to go with the lava tube. I know the provari has higher quality, but to me I wouldn't ever take this out of the house, so as long as the vape is the same at the voltage it's no big deal to me. Anyways I noticed their are many different branded lava tubes and was wondering if anyone out there knows about any difference between the volcano and crystal clear vaping lava tubes. If so, which one is better. Is there any better lava tubes out there than these two brands?

The Lavatube has many different names and vendors. Here is a link for a great video that explains the differences in devices. I bought mine from VaporBeast and have been very happy with it! The Yung June version that VaporBeast sells under the Vector Varible Volt seems to be the perfered version from PBursardo, although I believe the differences are minimal, but you can decide for yourself! I can not speak of Crysel clear! Hope this video helps! :). I do love VaporBeast as they are so reliable and stand behind everything they sell! Very customer foccused! :)

o thanks for the information the crystal clear vaping is a yung june version too, so i'm gonna assume it's quite similar to the vapor beast model. I'm just wondering cuz crystal clear vaping is selling is for so cheap it's like 80$ for the kit and their shipping is reliable and quick. Anyways can you send me the link that you were talking about? :D

update:
O I'm assuming it's the video below that link you sent me

otakta,

Yes, the chrome Vtube kits sold by VaporBeast and CrystalClearVaping are identical---they're Young-June chrome Vtubes v2.0. (VaporBeast's price is $13 cheaper, but out of stock.)

The black and silver Vtube kits sold by VaporBeast for $68 are Young-June Vtubes v1.5t.

I own both versions: a black Vector VV from VaporBeast and a Chrome v2.0 Vtube from CrystalClearVaping.

O thanks for that. Is there any significant difference between v1.5t and v2.0 besides it being made out of more sturdy material? and do you think it's worth waiting for vaporbeasts vario?

I just received my Vector VV from Vapor Beast. I got the black one, not knowing that its the 1.5t JY version.
From what I can tell the differences are the Top and Bottom caps. The electronics seem to be the same.

curious how were you able to find out the model you received is 1.5t?

I've done lots of research on these and if I were you I would go with the ver 2.0 Young June. The chip and hardware both are updated, so it has all the latest technology. With the version numbers, it usually means the higher the version number the more bugs they eliminated as opposed to the earlier versions. JMHO

I agree with BlueSnake.

The Young-June chrome V2 is very good. Solid, reliable, no glitches. Last time I checked, it was out of stock at VaporBeast, but that shouldn't be the case for too long. $75 for the kit is a nice price. It's long (5 1/8") and heavy (5 oz. with battery), but then so is an extended ProVari.

Personally, if I wanted another tube VV, I wouldn't wait for the VARIO. What I might wait for, however, is the Zmax by Smoktech---the first advanced tube mod that will use variable wattage/power, like the Darwin and Kick. If well done, the Zmax could be a game-changer.

Its a guess really. If you look at the top and bottom caps of the Chrome Vector and compare it to the caps of the Black/White/Stainless Steel ones they are totally different (Bottom has a smaller vent hole and diamond cuts. Top doesnt have a drip well. Its flat.)
Also the price. Chrome kit is $75, other kits are $68
It could be that the Black one is a V2, just with different end caps

The early production runs of the Young-June v1.5 and v1.5t had the 5-click shutdown glitch that put the unit into low-voltage zombie stealth mode. Current production runs do not have that glitch, so it may be that the internals were upgraded and are the same as the chrome v2.0.

The L Rider versions of the LT vary from the young June models in a few ways. You can check the voltage on your battery with and L Rider and it gives you the volts. The YJ model has a batter with bars on the display but with it you can check the ohms on your atty. The L Rider has a spring loaded firing connector that won't push up the pin on your atty, but it can get stuck and possibly leak. The L Rider will lock in your voltage if you press the + and - at the same time. The YJ doesn't do that.

You can still find the L Rider versions very cheap. For instance I paid $25 for a new one the other day. $27 delivered. Are the new chrome ones better? It sounds like they are but it still all depends on what you are looking for.

Good luck and I hope this helps.

I got mine from Apolloecigs.com and it is called a Vtube. I have had it for almost 3 months and havent had a single issue with it. They have great customer service and are easy to contact using the live chat on their website. The kit cost 75 bucks and just for the tube it is 54.95. I think it works very well. I mean it isn't a provari but it does great for 55 bucks cant beat it IMO.

I would highly recommend crystal clear vaping as a vendor. Haven't seen too many people stand behind their product like Andrew does. Originally CCV was carrying the first young june 1.5, and it turned out that a small percentage of the original 1.5 (which is different then the 1.5t) had a defect Andrew stepped in and took care of his clients. The manufacturer was a little slow to respond to andrew's request to exchange those tubes out, so he offered up refunds to all of his customers who purchased one, eventually the manufacturer came through, and a lot of us switched out for the 2.0, but no other vendor did that. He stands behind all of his products, and won't leave you hanging. Even if he is a few bucks more, it's definitely worth it to have a vendor that you can trust will stand behind what they sell, and make sure what you buy from them is not a POS...

I just received my YJ vs. 2 chrome from LiteCig, they call it the Vari-Tube.

The 18650 version is $49 and the shorty is $45.

Here is the link: Vari-Tube variable voltage APV

Only had it for a day, but it seems like a really nice unit.

Thanks for the post I ordered one the day before yesterday, the mini though with three batteries, and can't wait until it gets here. Does yours do the zombie mode thing when turned off?:smokie:
