her recommendations have led me to purchase a few rta's for which she made no money, she was good for everyone's business, but saved me the time of possibly buying a dud, I will miss her input on such things, she had a great memory for toppers and mods, to recall all those details at single post notice , where ever she lands will be as happy to have her as we miss her

I'm sure that the supplier conundrum was thoroughly discussed and considered before making the rules. THAT said, I don't know how the rules came to be what they are.

vaping is a VERY nascent industry. It only makes sense, since people who already WERE innovators and entrepreneurs, who took up vaping, that many of those people would innovate and look for opportunity (both financial and altruistic) to improve vaping! Where did the management here hope that new ideas would come from. From NON members? Ridiculous! Wouldn't we hope that those people would come from RIGHT HERE, within our ranks?

I also participate on MANY other hobby forums. On each and every one, folks that are "in the business" are not only allowed, but encouraged to post! In most cases, the forum requires some kind of identifier in their sig that they are ITB, so that others can know that their words might be influenced by their interests. So what?! Those people are often THE most knowledgeable about the subjects at hand. And, in some cases it is a rule that they contribute financially to the forum (not thousands for an amateur fer chrissakes) and in others, it is a suggestion. But we're aduults. If someone making BIG business decides to be cheap and not contribute, they appropriately are not well regarded by the other members who have an interest in the success of that forum.

When we lose people like Roxy, we not only lose all of that experience and cleverness. We also lose the contributions that those who enjoyed their posts make to the OTHER places that they will then go to, to see what that person is up to or saying.

Who wants to accept supplier status on a board like this? All your previous contributions are wiped out? You become hobbled and restrained to your own single thread? This is a policy that needs to be re-thought. I'll go so far as to say that not only does it need to change, but ECF would do VERY well to extend an olive branch to those they've driven away, in the hope that they can lure those people back to this forum. I'm pretty sure that they don't REALLY like going to the land of misfit toys, where they have to join those who have been kicked out of here because they just don't know how to socialize properly with people. But the more we kick out GOOD contributors to THOSE places, the more we improve THOSE places over being what they truly started as. A haven for the ill-mannered and out-of-control.

ECF is a compelling place. Lots of great contributors, and the best vaping content on the web. But we are reducing that with every well meaning, interesting, well spoken and experienced vaper that we boot. It really is time to get a handle on this problem. Telling the emperor he has no clothes shouldn't be cause for beheading. Designing better clothes shouldn't be either. Heavy handed moderation will certainly keep the chickens in line, but it makes for a pretty dull farm.

The reason vaping has come as far as it has, I beleive, is because of people like Roxy and the rest of use that have torn apart, modded, gave input at places like ECF. Any forum is what it is ONLY because of the kind of members it has.

I am here to help the noobs. Thats all. The rest of my effort and knowledge and input/ideas, will be at the other forum.

I was going to become a supporting member. But,

I started a thread (Uwell Crown) that currently stands at 76 pages (surprisingly), that I'm sure has benefited Uwell financially, but not myself. Maybe they should ban me?

Good example, really. That thread certainly HAS, incidentally, benefited Uwell. But you surely did not raise awareness of that magnificent device for the sake of Uwell. You raised it for the sake of US. I am currently vaping on one of those delightful beasts right at this moment, and much thanks to you. It has certainly improved MY enjoyment of this hobby.

Wow...shocked to read this. As a community of vaping, where it's being banned by BigBro every where we turn, you'd think we'd stand united and not ban a valuable supporter like Roxy. She has helped educate both noobs and vets and without her knowledge and kindness, we will be left with a black hole here.

Most of the community is standing with Roxy.

I don't post on here anymore because of the obscure "rules" they have. God forbid you have a different opinion or say something the mods deem "unacceptable behavior". I'm glad other people are now starting to realize how bad this forum is. I love the members but hate the forum. Best place to come for info, worst place to come for anything else because you have to be in constant fear of being scolded like a child from a mod.

How is this thread even still open?

No worries. After this, I'll do everything I can to keep the topic alive.

In my experience, many subjects have forums where suppliers have a second class status. There's one where I was once a supplier and haven't sworn it off for all time so I still am limited. I "get" the idea that such a forum is supposed to be unbiased, but it severly lacks on the technical side when those with a deeper interest are not really welcome (I also think that on that particular subject, many of the existing big names got established before the rules changed, or found some clever way to sidestep them like acting like they weren't really in business, and I'd now be competing with those people). I see no solution except to actually make judgement calls instead of using hard and fast rules.

With this forum though, I think it's more about forcing suppliers to pay.
