I can't believe how sweet the divo is making my vape. vaping unflavored nic, usually has a slight hint of sweetness to it, but with the divo it's just straight up sweet like I added sweetener or something. wild that it enhances even the flavor of flavorless juice :) can't compare to the rm2 as I stopped using it before ever vaping unflavored but tonight I'm going to try same coil in an rm2 to see how it compares, but the divo is def sweeter than any cyclone build so far

I'm at least keeping one of my Cyclones with AFC cap for dual coil builds. I think the Divo is just slightly better than a standard Cyclone for single coils. But I've only had it for a couple of days so I'll see if I still think that way in a week. I'll also try to build identical coils, right now one has 1.32 coil the other 1.25 coil. My next build on both will be a .9 range coil. If I still think the Divo is better after a week I'll dump my 2nd Cyclone with AFC for a Divo for single coils.

the divo is really rocking. no I mean really rocking. can't believe I never stuck it on the reo before this. can't believe how much my other mod sucked. before I just thought the divo was ok I guess, but now on the reo, damn. it's just so friggin sweet.

curiosity got the best of me tonight so I decided to break out the mic's and see exactly what chamber size difference's and see once and for all exactly what's going on here. the airflow and chamber orientation is the same on all 3 of these attie's I tested so it all boils down to one thing only, and that's chamber volume.

I measured everything to the thousandth. in measuring cylinder height I measured full height and then deducted for the amount of protrusion into the chamber of the atty base to the top of the deck, so working height is actual internal chamber volume height as assembled. I then calculated cubic inches of volume of each cylinder to the thousandth. I did not adjust for variances of the deck dome but all 3 are similar sloping dished decks so this isn't much of a factor. I also didn't measure to deduct for post volume displacement, but again, all 3 are similar there too. the only way to get more accurate and precise would be to seal up all the openings in the atty with clay and run a cc test filling it with liquid while measuring the cc's, but this measuring I did is still accurate enough to be conclusive relative to each other

here are the results. smaller is better flavor wise

-----------------------------dia----height------ci----------------

cyclone(afc)--------------.515" x .570"= 0.118 cubic inches

rm2------------------------.530" x .315"= 0.069 cubic inches

divo------------------------.505" x .275" = 0.055 cubic inches

now I don't know how much of a factor dual coils plays exactly although I do know that they do close the gap somewhat and duals make a chamber vape like a smaller chamber flavor wise, but now from the results and measurements of the cyclone to the divo I know it's not a factor of 2:1 or 50% because if it was then the cyclone with duals would taste as good as the divo with a single, but it doesn't.

at this point I'm going to assume that adding dual coils probably adds a factor of ~25-30% relative chamber volume reduction based on my own test results. in other words adding dual coils to the cyclone gets it ~half way there relative to the divo compared to the cyclone(w/afc) with a single, but the divo still beats it hands down. assuming a factor of 25-30% would make the .118" chamber of the cyclone vape like a -.082-.088" chamber relatively, putting it closer to rm2 territory of .069" in vape quality. I'd have to do a lot of side by side testing with the cyclone to the rm2 to fine tune that estimate of 25-30% but I think it's close enough to actual for me at this point. maaybe it's 35% at most. I think I'll probably just call it 30% at this point which is probably about right.

one good thing is with all my testing and measuring and comparing here I also discovered what I think is the perfect solution for the cyclone, and it's so simple that it's brilliant. I'll show you that tomorrow after I try it but it's going to make the cyclone vape as well as the divo does now, and then add dual coils to THAT for another 30% relative chamber reduction, should virtually vape like a .040" compared to the divo's .055" now. can't wait to try it and see how it works. .055" is really kicking ... but a .040" relative chamber size of the cyclone with duals with a reduced chamber may just be the holey grail if it works the way I imagine it will :)

make no mistake, the cyclone with afc ain't no slouch, it gets close to rm2 taste quality as-is with duals, the rm2 is one of the best tasting atties out there so don't go dumping your cyclones, they have gotten no worse than they've always been which is pretty awesome, but the divo just kicks the cyclones and even the rm2's ... in current form it seems :)

How does the standard cyclone - no AFC compare? The top cap on it seems smaller than the RM2 :)

I'm curious about this too. I would think having a cyclone with both caps would be ideal. You can go afc if you want to run duals/cloudy, or go regular to run singles. I'm gonna try duals with the single airhole on my divo soon. I'll pic and post it when it happens.

If I get ambitious, I'm envisioning two dragons aimed at the airhole or two regular coils set vertically in front of the airhole. I never had much luck with the dragon build, so I might have to nix that idea.

When I get my new coil jig from amazon tomorrow I'll give everything a bath. Build identical coils, use fresh 1600 batteries I just got from RTD today and two new bottles with unflavored nic, to run them over the weekend head to head, regular cyclone vs. divo with stock drain holes also.

Interestingly I just noticed that the Fusion drip tip on the standard Cyclone increases the chamber size vs. a regular drip tip since it does not insert into the Cyclone. so I will be using identical delrin drip tips as well for the comparison.

yeah man the divo has just been blowing me away the past few days... I'm glad I'm not alone in saying this.

to do duals in it I've been thinking of just drilling another air hole on the opposite side, duals but no afc just fixed 2x 1/16th holes...

I don't have a non afc cyclone cap but if someone can get an exact depth of the chamber, from the top of the inner chamber all the way to the bottom lip I can then calculate the atty protrusion and do the math on it for a cubic inch volume comparison to these 3. I also have a melted igo-s somewhere, if I can find it I'll measure that. I also will measure the chamber volume of my kayfun and kayfun mini just as a comparison here too, mostly just curious how they compare to these rda's I guess

haven't done my cyclone mod yet, probably get to it later and I'll post the results and show it here

ahh now I don't remember exactly what the protrusion of the cyclone is off hand but I'll be able to get an exact calculation later when I get home. the 15mm translates to .590" but of course I still need to deduct for the atty base so it will obviously be smaller than the cyclone just can't say exactly ight now.

if you can get a good measurement of the atty base, from the very bottom flat surface to just right up to the top part of the deck then I could tell you sooner :)

ahh, ok, if it doesn't cover the bottom lip then you'd have to measure from the top of that lip to the top of the deck
exactly.
