I still can't get past the silly names we've given ourselves here. "Tootle puffers" = let's puff farts. Yes, that's what I mean. That's the only thing that comes to mind. "Toot" = fart when I was growing up. When I read the words "tootle puffer" or hear someone say them, my mind instantly translates it into "I'm a fart puffer!"

Same with "stinkies". Aka "analogs". Both terms are like nails on a chalkboard to me. "I am trying to quit the stinkies". "Stinkies" is also a euphemism for farts. "Ooops, I let out a stinky." [No Farts, flatulence, the "pvvvrrt" sound of a quiet passing of gas. Analog is a clock or a synthesizer, not a cigarette. A cigarette is called a cigarette. When you were a smoker before you were a vaper, did you ask your friend to bum a "stinky" off of them? Or an "analog"? I can just imagine one smoker asking another, "can I tootle puff one of your stinkies?" or, "Can I bum an analog off you?" The looks you'd get would be worth seeing.

Modwhomper sounds like Chumbawamba. I do not get knocked down, I don't have to get up again.

I am neither of these. I don't puff toots, I don't whomp whomp. I just am.

Farts, farts, farts. Toots. Puffing. Breathing in and out farts. I challenge you to open a bag or pork rinds, sniff it deep, and remind yourself you're a Tootle Puffer

P.S. Moist. How many people do I know who hates the word "moist". So if you're reading this and you think my hatred of a word or term is silly, but the word "moist" still grosses you out, let me be the first to say:

Moist Moist Moist Moist Moist Moist Moist

and all the implications and thoughts and feelings the word "moist" brings to your mind.

Understand?

Down here they're always called farts, and if you care to be a bit less vulgar, "poots".

The name was assigned in complete jest, for those of us who like higher ohms and lower wattages, and don't typically make big clouds -- we're just sorta tootling along. The entire thing is a joke, but does give us conservative/low-key vapers a way to identify ourselves to one another. You should talk to @Katdarling about it, she's Head Instigator of the thread. :D

mod-wompers are those who are neither tootlers nor cloud chasers, OR, they vape in all the different ways and enjoy them all. And there's usually a lot of music vids posted in that thread of some truly outstanding music. :D And coil porn, LOTS of interesting coils on display. I can't participate in radical builds, but I enjoy seeing the creativity.

It's all just Fun With vaping. :thumb:

And BTW, nice to see you back; haven't seen ya around in a while. :thumb:

Coil porn and handchecks are the new duckface. Even though I work in the industry, I cannot STAND seeing these pictures. I can understand being excited about building your first coil and sharing it online, but after a certain amount of time, it's no different than foodies who post every single meal they eat on Facebook hoping to garner "likes". At some point, nobody cares anymore.

Also, part of the reason why I rarely post or visit anymore is because, after working in the industry, the last thing I want to discuss is vaping stuff. Also, I see the same questions being repeated over and over and over and over and over again by new users. It just becomes monotonous over time. There's nothing unique I could add to most questions that hadn't already been said. "This thing leaks" is a collection of words I could live FOR-FREAKING-EVER and never hear again and be 100% okay with that. After addressing it to countless people at work (with about a ratio of 30%-40% of people actually listening to what I'm saying) with little net results in success, I tend to give up a little easier than in the past.

I've literally seen people's brains melt, their entire concept of existence, fade away when I explain to them their eGo vapor pen has an on/off function. I mean seriously, peoples brains melt down at that concept. Their eyes glass over. "You mean I gotta turn it on and off every time I wanna smoke it?"

"No, it's merely a safety or a standby feature. In case kids are running around and you're worried about them picking it up and playing with it. Or if you want to pack it in your luggage when you're traveling so it doesn't accidentally fire. It does nothing to prolong the life of the battery; the only time you're using power from the battery is when you push the button. I never turn my devices off unless there's a specific reason for me to do so."

"So you mean I gotta turn it on and off every time I wanna take a puff?"

yeah and now I now why I never really got into tootling before -- it's cause I have a tootle tank that sucks and so I need to get a better one one of these days so I can stop getting burnt hits. I am going to try the Lemo that @NoFumus told me about. There are probably better tanks for tootling but anything has to beat this dumb vaporfi tank that I have been starting my tootling adventure with...... Yep, I am retiring all of my expensive cloud chucking tanks. I sure have saved a boat load of juice since I have been tootling :)

Did someone say Lemo ??? All the Lemo's are good for Tootle Puff'in/ModWhomp'in but, the Lemo V2 is just a bit more convenient to use (at least for me) with it's outside airflow adjustment and Top/Side fill port. My 3 Lemo V2's can be adjusted from ZERO airflow to respectable clouds (no cloud comp winner here) if you want. I'm running at 3mm, 1.4, 17 watts, and a Tight MTL and I am happier than a pig in ... Shucks Folks.

Naaaa...TPS are just old and into low risk and less excitement is all

I am old but I am a certified MW

I do too like excitement, well, well, I even went all the way up to 25 watts the other day, yea, 25 watts, then I went and laid down for a bit. So there !! :pervy:

I'm kinda on the Outside. Because I like Rip Tripper.

Not so Much because I believe everything he says, I Don't. But because his Up-Close Camera Work is Crystal Clear, his Video's are Short and to the Point, and he Uses a lot of Jump Cuts.

The Whole Southern Bumpkin thing is, to me, just his Stick.

YouTube is, at it's heart, an entertainment medium. Rip Trippers is ridiculously entertaining. It amazes me how someone who is so good at what he does can get ripped on, no pun intended, as much as he does. I mean sure he can be a little over the top, but he is also knowledgeable and thorough. Beyond that, the antics are simply presentation. There are plenty of reviewers out there who are not as animated, but I have yet to find one that's as concise as Rip Trippers.

End of line.

Yeah... seems like the same questions show up over and over and over in the "new posts" listing; it makes it a real challenge to find something interesting to read. :D

As for the terminally stupid... there's just no escaping them, they're everywhere. They won't read, they don't listen, yet are convinced they know EVERYTHING.

As for coils on display... yeah, it can get a little old, but sometimes there's something really new and creative -- a simple change that I got from @Boden, making the coil arched, contact-coil on the bottom and spaced at the top, has given me a lot more flavor for the same amount of ohms and wraps, so it's good to see what other innovations pop up from time to time -- most of them don't benefit me, but that "bowed-in" coil has made a real difference for me.

And it's always nice to cheer on the newly-smoke-free; I remember what ecstasy it was for me, to become smoke-free and not even miss it; they see a lot of long-term smoke-free banners around here, so it's good to assure them that YES they have done a great thing; a year is 365 individual days. It feels good when you hit that year, but just to hit 2 days smoke-free and not even care that you're not smoking... that's a true miracle. As I observed a day or two ago, I hit 15 months smoke-free... but I well remember when going 15 MINUTES without a cigarette was nearly impossible.

I often tell the guys at my local vape shop they need to write a book. No one could make up the stories of all the real life vape stuff that they deal with everyday:shock: :)

After 3 years of vaping (YAY ME!!), and 2.5 years of DIY, I still refuse to use the "new" terms for everything. I will take a "drag" off my vape. Whether that drag is a "mouth to lung" or a "lung hit" is up to the topper I'm using. Although I will admit that the last 6 months I have gone to preferring "lung hits", something i would never do during my 37 years of smoking.
Grimm Greene(sp) always irritated me with his "toot". And Rip (which also reminded me of "toot") always just seemed too loud for me to listen to him for longer than a minute.

I vape. You vape. Those we convert vape (added 4 more converts this last week!! :) ).
Let's all just vape!

Beans, beans, the musical fruit. The more you eat, the more you... puff on your non sub-ohm atomizer... apparently.

End of line.

I watched two vids on YouTube with experienced vape reviewers and in both, they suggested that using a 1.8 ohm coil or mouth-to-lung hitting were for "beginners". Do most "modwompers" (see...I used it!) think we "tootle puffers" (ugh!?!) are beginners? Zophie Vapes was one and I don't know too much about her but Rip Trippers was the other and I'd think he'd know some folks simply have no interest in sub-ohm vaping or lung hitting.

My insight into your - Reviewers - example
Beginners, especially Long Term Smokers, should not be pushed toward Mod Womping.
There is much to learn as is and the transition should be made as smoothly as possible.
I still have people starting out on Ego type kits with decent Toppers and they have a tough time understanding/transitioning.(is anything simpler?)

Yes Tootling is (best) for beginners................. and anyone satisfied at that level.

I am a Tootle-Womper and enjoy vaping a diverse collection of devices. :D
