I don't know what they mean - tootle puffer, sub-ohm, and ANTZ. I've detected enough context so that:

  • I think I might be a tootle puffer (but not sure)
  • I don't think I ever want to do sub-ohm
  • I'm not an ANTZ (troll?)
Anybody care to nutshell these for me? :)
You're probably a tootle puffer, but that isn't what matters.
What does matter is that you are, until you decide otherwise, an ex smoker

The funny thing about "cause cloudz bro" is the average tootle puffer says it 100+ times a day while nobody else ever says it at all unless joking around with a tootle puffer.
I would like to go on record as saying that "Cloudz Bro" does not refer to all cloud chasers.
In fact, it probably doesn't apply to the vast majority of cloud chasers on this forum.

That's my take on it anyway.

As I have said a time or two, in other threads, please know that I NEVER for a MINUTE had any intention of this thing called a Tootle Puffer to grow legs and take on the life it did.

As Katya explained, it was started out simply a sort of dig at those who vape in the style of MTL. I liked the term, thought it was funny, and ran with it.

If it is NOT fun, and is divisive, condescending, interruptive, promoting disharmony, or any other such thing, I would very quickly ask that the TPuffers thread be closed for good.

I really don't want to see that happen, and I can only hope that everyone sees the humour in it. That's it, and nothing more. The fact that people found a commonality and started to develop friendships was a wonderful by-product.

My original thoughts when I first opened the thread, were to find out if there really was anyone who vaped in the same style I did. I've come to find out that MANY do, and are quite happy with that style. There was and still is absolutely no ill-will toward those who choose a different style! Not in the slightest!

I'm of the mind set that we all vape, and we all like what we like. And that's perfectly fine by me! Just as with device choices, coil choices, bling choices, vliquid choices..... none of it matters. Whatever YOU choose has really no affect on my vapes, just as mine certainly can't possibly affect yours. The sharing of EVERYTHING vape is what's critical to me. We are a very special group of people.

Are there those who wear the badge of a TPuffer and use that badge to demean others who choose to vape differently? Yes, sadly, there are. Of them, I am not one.

Happy Vapes to everyone~ :)

This I think is wrong and the very heart of the matter.

At this point I think vaping is still mostly ex-smokers. That may not always be the case but for now I think it is.

Ecigs have only been around a few years and I'd guess most smokers danced around them in one way or another. Lets say 2+ years ago a smoker tried an ecig and it worked, this is likely a tootle smoker.

A tootle smoker?? A tootle smoker could be many things, Lights, Ultra Lights or somebody who actually used a lighter to light each cigarette. And a number of other things. Lights for example require a massive sucking motion to get a tiny puff of smoke, they just gave me a massive headache. If I bummed a Light I'd snap the filter off.

So to these people ecigs may have felt like how they smoked.

But to me and others its was nothing at all like smoking.

And vaping continued to evolve to the point that smokers like me can now use it as a effective stop smoking aid. I attacked each cigarette like it owed me money. I used my lighter maybe 3-4 times a day to polish off 2-4 packs a day. It wasn't uncommon for other smokers to tell me I needed to slow down. No soft gentle tootle off an ecig was gonna get me to quit.

So alot needed to happen. And because enough people cared enough to keep moving forward there is now enough vaping gear to get most anyone a way to "vape the way they smoked".

I'll close with a short story. The last week or so I've had a kid working for me, prolly early 30's I'd guess. Heavy smoker. Rez cigs, boy I remember those nasty things all to well. He's been watching me vape, maybe jelly that I don't have to go outside for a smoke (I don't let him or anyone else smoke in the house). So last night he made the opening move towards vaping. Well thats right in my wheel house. So I set up a Nautilus on a DNA30 at 15w with some 12mg. He took right to it, I was pretty impressed. He used it for abit and handed it back saying it wasn't his thing, gotta suck to hard and nothing really comes out. On a whim I handed him my Steam Engine tank on a DNA 200 at 50w with my 6mh high VG juice. I warned him it might be alot at first so be warned. Well he took a whack off that and right before my eyes a new vaper was born. With his pay I'm gonna set him up with a STM and a mod.
I smoked a pipe and cigars and would inhale both before I quite. an ego battery with a GS-H2 tank and 24% nicotine worked for me.I think the nicotine hit was the most important factor and taste was second. you can get both with low or high power with the right juice.one size does not fit all.

The real difference is MTL or direct lung. You can't blow cloud MTL,
...
Direct lung folks prefer a more open atomizer so it doesn't feel like trying to breathe through a bar straw.
...

* scratching his noggin, then rubbing his chin fur and going hmmmm *

I can blow cloud from mouth to lung. This may be from having been a user of another combustible plant for about 9 months to a year, but I can do it. :) Granted, I do not bring the fog off the mountains when I do. But I do get fair sized clouds.

I can do it using the Smok ARO, TDux 3 tanks, the RSST also. Not yet figured out the TDux 4. I think there lies a real airflow problem with it, just its design.Smok actually seems to have been unto something with skirted tanks and the three air holes in the skirts. imho, the skirted tanks of theirs is a tighter draw than the RSST, sure, but it doesn't feel like I'm sucking a camel through a straw.

The Tdux 4, there's yer camel through a straw fer ya. I kind of understand where they were going with its design. Another part of me is in the dark. Of course, I stay lost so that's nothing new. :)

But to not be remiss, ... I do like direct lung hitting too. Someone let me try an Igo dripper recently. Sweet! :) And I notice, for me at least, direct lung hits get Frenched and I do not pump out clouds so much. Ha! I'm always backwards too it seems. hehe. :)

Huh, well i need to do something else .. ah, yep, vape on. :)
