Mine did....took awhile but I can be around smokers and have no cravings at all. Honestly never even think about it anymore, but I started out at 24mg and stayed there for almost two years before I was able to lower my mg. Close to 4 years now and I'm at 3mg and have to use 0mg to go below .75 ohm.

Every so often I still get a craving for a cigarette. Completely random not associated with the old habits like after a meal or anything. Even though I know at this point it will most definitely taste like straight .... Does this ever go away or am I the only one?

It took me about a year and a half. I smoked for 37 years.

The funny thing is I still enjoy the smell of a lit cigarette. The great thing is it has no power over me now :thumb:

For me, the idea of living on a respirator meant, you may need a new craving and I have ...........

My cravings went away after about 2 or 3 months. Then I had one and it tasted like crap. I never had the cravings again.

Heh, be careful.

I'd been an ex-smoker and vaping for ~7 months when I went back to cigs, (because I'd run out of coils and lost a job and other bs excuses I told myself). The first couple did taste bad and were hard to finish... but then the ol' tobacco monkey reclaimed his seat on my back, just as if he'd never left. I smoked for another year after that before getting back to vaping exclusively.

I still sometimes crave a smoke when I'm drinking. So, I just vape like a madman until it passes. ;)

Next month is my six year anniversary of vaping. I smoked for over 40 years and actually didn't even intend to quit smoking altogether when I began vaping. I just wanted something I could use when I was in a situation where I couldn't smoke. Also, cigarettes were getting so expensive that I was having a hard time justifying spending hundreds of dollars a month....up in smoke.

I have absolutely NO cravings anymore. Second hand smoke used to entice me a little at first, then that changed somewhere along the way and now that smell gags me. Everybody is different, but I never thought I'd ever be able to quit smoking. Nobody was more surprised than I when I discovered that I had completely quit smoking almost by accident.

Short answer: in my opinion the cravings totally go away. The timetable is an individual thing.
