Dsy, dagnabbit... Are you sure it is 2.5mm and not 1.8mm? Sounds like the DuD tube except it should only be 1.8 wall. The offspring just told me that she had replied to you and I will take the replacement down to the post office in the morning so it will travel over the weekend rather than waiting for Monday. We dont normally send anything out on Saturday but I figure that should trim a day or two off your wait.

Nuuze, I replied and just to note here it looks to me like the 22mm x 1.5mm may work but I cant say for sure not having the device. Some of these devices are quite expensive and/or tough to get.

IC, the Offspring tells me the industrial silver is pretty opaque but you can see juice level when held up to a light. On the blues the Royal is darker.

I got home tonight and had some new juice to vape. I cleaned all my IBTanks and changed the cartos.(They were starting to taste funky). Got ready to put my clear standard 25mm with stainless caps back on and one of them wouldn't let the gasket fit right. I put juice on the "O" rings and kept trying but everytime I made contact with the top of the tube, the gasket kept deforming. I finally got it to seal but I've never had this problem before. Trust me I take care of my/ours tanks. I did the same thing with the 19mm and never had a problem and at the moment vaping happily with them. Just that one time I did something wrong. Why would the gasket hang up like that? None of the others have ever given me a bit of trouble. When you get a chance I'll check back. Tell the Family I wish them a wonderful Holiday. Thanks again for a GREAT product!!!!!!

Tnt, I am not quite sure what you mean on the gasket? Are you talking about the oring or the rubber washer under the lip of the cap? If you mean the oring then first thing I would do is take the oring off and then put it back on being careful not to roll it. When an oring is rolled in one part of it this can cause something of a knot. Once you get the oring back into the groove run your finger around it to make sure it is evenly seated in its groove. Then lube it up and pop it back in, sometimes a little twist of the cap on its way in will help it follow in as will a little lube around the tube.

The orings dont seem overly tight do they? There is always a chance of tolerance issues in both orings and glass.

If you are talking about the rubber washer, that needs to be installed on the cap before inserting it into the tube. Just put it above the oring next to the lip where it will be then plug the complete cap into the tube.

I was refering to the washer. I never had a problem with it till yesterday. I finally got it all sealed but I was just wondering what I could have done wrong. I know it's not the tank. They are really a work of art.

OK, so I have been a Greek DID user for many months with 1 problem, love stainless steel, but no view of my fluid level, loved the Kir Fanis clear tube, but don't even think of vaping pluid or virgin vapers hot cinnamon, tank would crack up like the famous egg, old humpty dumpty. You are putting the washer on the cap so that it is up against the lip where it is going to end up when the tank is assembled then putting the cap into the tube right? It is a thin little washer as I just wanted the slightest cushion between the glass and metal to make sure in the event of a fall the metal cannot make contact with the glass.

Does the washer lay flat on its own or when placed on the cap? Dont know if it could have warped from heat if you use really hot water when cleaning but I wouldnt think so, will have to try it myself. It is a natural rubber though and a fairly high temperature rating compared to tap water anyhow.

OCD, neither of my AGA-T caps lines up correctly. The holes are drilled all over the place for this cap; it's just luck of the draw from the factory. Including orings would help.

I don't think the Chinese have figured out how to line up holes yet...and until they get rid of threaded top caps they never will. Including extra o rings for that purpose would be nice.

Everything I read says you can file down the bottom of the cap some so that it threads down more and line up the hole.

For sanding it down Hawkeye it seems like it would be a lot of sanding since it appears to pass the sweet spot by about a 1/4 turn or so before it bottoms out so that would be a lot of sanding. I can of course stop it at the wick but it isnt very tight and will probably move around on its own which is why I thought a larger oring might snug it up. Bottoming out I supposed would be ideal though and it could be done fairly easily by filling the current hole with JB weld and drilling a new hole.

There are a lot of ways to fix the hole issue and it depends on the atomizer. On the Chobra I just used the old o ring and put it under the new glass tank, in between the glass and the bottom plate...worked fine.

Seems all the various DIDAlike and AGA threads discuss sanding or filing down the bottom to make it fit. I might fiddle with that when I get up to my parents house in GA for Thanksgiving since I will have access to more tools.
