Do you miss anything about smoking?

I miss having a slightly less keen sense of smell. I thought my super-keen sense of smell was a burden when I smoked, but that was purgatory. This is hell. There sure are a lot of stinks in the world.

Oh, and I have to admit; when we're visiting my parents and my mom is being a PITA, I really miss being able to announce "I'm going out for a smoke." That was a very useful feature. :D

Yes, I can't bum juice of a stranger if I run out LOL.

Can you imagine if you completely ran out of juice, and all stores are closed and you go out trying to find a vapor out there and ask.

"Hey, can I bum some juice of you?"

That bumming business was one of the proximal causes of me starting to vape -- my next-door neighbor had developed the habit of coming over and bumming one off me *every single day* and I was flat tired of it. It sure was nice to give him my last 12 [stale] cigarettes and say that's it, there won't be anymore. :D

I only did it during desperate times, but I always offered to at least buy one from someone, unless it was a friend and we mutually bummed of each other. True, strangers don't ask to bum vape, but some friends still do, especially when it taste good and smells good (even non-smokers), so far I've only had 1 friend ask another friend for juice.

Worst is if he starts vaping and ask to bum a couple ml off you lol.

I was surprised to find that I can answer that I do not miss smoking anymore. I started vaping the beginning of last July and I am not sure exactly when I stopped missing cigarettes. I know I still missed them a little over the holidays. Huh. This is interesting. I do not know when I stopped missing the cigarettes.

For the newer vapers here, you will have periods of time when you really miss the smoking, but if you allow it to it will pass pretty quickly. Get busy with something for 10 or 15 minutes and the craving will subside. At least, that is how it worked for me.

I still hang with the smokers at work on our breaks, I just sit in the most open seat I can, in the somewhat enclosed canopy we've been designated. I can sometimes smell it on me right after and I hate that. One girl lives near me, I drive her home frequently. I allow smoking in my car, still, honestly she's the only one that has in MONTHS. When she first lights up, I get a bit overwhelmed, reminders of "ooh yeah, that 1st cig right after work". After her first exhale, overwhelmed quickly turns to "so glad that's not me anymore".

I don't miss it. I don't miss the mess of the ashes, the smells, the wall discoloration, the nasty shreds of tobacco in the bottom of my purse, the heavy feeling chest (which higher VG also gives me), gross breath, accidental burns to my fingers, clothes, car, carpet.

Juice spills (inevitable) clean up way easier. I've yet to burn myself on a coil (came close twice), the smells of my vape are yumms, no shreds of kanthal or cotton in my purse, though they are on my rug  . I do still carry gum, no lighter.

That's pretty awesome, to not know when you stopped missing them! I agree, the toughest times for me were around 60 days & 90 days. I couldn't shake it for a couple weeks at about 90 days, so I'd think a cig through in my head. No matter which scenario I gave it, it always tasted bad in my memory and always left me reeking. Yeah, yummy, huh?

I am lucky that I am not around smokers that often. If I was I am not sure how I would feel about having to inhale their smoke. I do not want to be one of Those ex-smokers but I do find I do not enjoy the smell of it anymore. I went into a cigar bar a couple of weeks ago to look for a butane lighter to anneal my kanthal and I was surprised to find that I enjoyed the smell of the cigars the guys were smoking. I have always hated the smell of cigar smoke. I was also happy to find that even being around that good smelling cigar smoke, it did not trigger an urge in me to have a cigarette. I am thankful for that.

So maybe I truly am a non smoker now.

The only time I can think of so far that I have missed smoking cigarettes was about 2 weeks ago when I got to work with my Igo w /nemesis and realized I forgot my 12 mL juice bottle I had meant to take with me. Had I still been smoking I could have borrowed a smoke or two from someone.... nobody had any juice.

Won't do that again.... wasn't so bad though, would have lost it without a smoke for 9 hours while working... didn't mind waiting to vape

I doubt he will; he's far too stupid, and being on disability, doesn't have the start-up funds necessary to get going with a decent setup -- and we know how lousy and inadequate the disposables are. But I promise you that if he did, I would slam the door in his face! :D
