Do you think long term smokers have an easier time full switching to vaping

Do long term smokers of over 15 years have an easier time quiting and switching to full time vaping?

  • Yes- longer one smokes the easier it is

  • Likely about the same.

  • No- easier to quit the shorter you smoked.

I smoked for 42 years. I never intended on quiting smoking but use vaping just to cut back on smoking. I was duel fuel for two months then just did not want to smoke anymore.
My poll question : Do you think long term smokers of 15 years or more have an easier time making the switch and quiting smoking?

I don't think how long someone smokes has much bearing on how easily they'll switch to vaping. I know two people personally, who smoked for a much shorter period than I did (they're a lot younger than I am) who had a lot of trouble moving completely away from cigarettes and into vaping.

The big decider IMHO, is how badly someone wants to quit smoking. If you're hell-bent on getting away from the analogs, vaping is/was the easiest way I found to do it. If someone kind of wishes they could quit smoking, vaping may not be the easiest alternative. Nothing's an easy alternative, if you enjoy those analogs and don't feel real compelled to get them out of your life (and your lungs!)
