Not to stir the pot, but I remember what got me smoking back when I was seventeen. It wasn't peer pressure, like a bunch of my friends leering around me telling me to try one, it'll make you look cool and popular. Peer pressure by that age was over with. It was just... all of my friends at the time smoked. So I smoked one, two, three, then I bought my first real pack, and then that was that. There was never any discussion of labels, of cartoon characters, or even pretty girls on the box. No one made it sexy, cute, or seductive. There was zero discussion of marketing. Smokes were smokes.
Times change, but do they really? I think this "cute label gives ANTZ ammunition" is silly and we're attributing way too much to the other side. We've always been in a battle. Sometimes it's been more high pitched than other times, but honestly, when we can get to 23 pages of debating over whether or not a cookie gives ANTZ ammunition to destroy vaping as we know it... well, I think we're taking ourselves a bit too seriously.
We can make this as dramatic as possible. Rattle our sabers as much as the ANTZ. But in the end... Good lord, people. It's a gotdamn cookie.
