A "Piece of cake" huh? Now that sounds like a good flavor!
I can't remember where is was, but there is a vendor that serves up cupcakes just about any way you want them.

I think it is Tasty Vapor, but I could be totally and completely wrong.
And if I am I hope someone will correct me ASAP.

It has for me-ish, I [felt like I] had to smoke while I was drinking last weekend, but next time I'm gonna stick with it. On a normal day though, I haven't had a craving, no stereotypical bad mood or substantial weight gain. For me, it was the perfect cure, although results differ from person to person, the best advice I feel anyone could give is to give it a shot! I won't say you won't be unsatisfied, my wife was, greatly. Fortunately she's being strong and staying away from smoking, kinda sucks that she didn't pick up on vaping like I did though, it would be cool to share this experience with the woman I love. What ever you do, I wish you the best of luck!

Amazing story, since it was my wife that announced to me about 4 months ago that she will quit smoking soon and that I better find a solution because she felt it would be too hard to stay off smoking if I was still smoking. I found the solution in vaping, she quit did not take to vaping and has been strong also 3 months now off smoking. I just keep ordering new ecigs, cartomizers and juices and happily vape away, no more smoking for me also.

I'm so glad my fiance took up vaping when she decided to quit 4 weeks ago. It's certainly made it a lot easier for her and it's so much fun going through this with her. She always wants to try new liquids and because she vapes so little it wouldn't make sense for her to buy a full bottle so I get to practice my DIYing skills on her :)

I think for me the adaptation to vaping was easier as I had done the cold turkey thing 2x in the 3 months prior, unsuccessfully. One was 12 days and the other 4. I had a little less than half a pack and got an ego and small 510 kit. I smoked the rest over 2 or 3 days. They just didn't give me any kick (already getting nic with pv) and weren't as tasty as the liquids. I did have a few puffs off a friend 3 weeks into vaping and it wasn't nice at all. So I'm sure I will have another at some point, but I'm 2.5 months in and really do prefer this. I've even ordered some lower (again) strength liquid.

After cold turkey, this has been the most pleasant walk in the park. I've even learned that I'm not overly picky with flavors, but solid working equipment is key. I have some flavors I really like and ones that are ok. But I would pick any of them over smoking if the option is there at this point.

I know that my following statement may seem a little condescending considering that many here have struggled with smoking to no avail (Myself included)

But My theory is that when many attempt to quit smoking, they come to this decision in their conscious mind but their subconscious mind is not on the same wavelength which results in repeated attempts but eventual failure (because for whatever reason we are not completely ready to let go of cigarettes... Maybe its simply the act of change in our normal day to day life, which has for many of us included cigarettes for well over 10, 25, 30 or even 45 years... And this can be a difficult change even if our conscious mind knows that the cigarettes are killing us)...Though we often hear stories of those that went cold turkey and never looked back, which says to me that those people must have been both consciously and subconsciously prepared to be done with the addiction and no matter the withdrawal, this person had decided whole heartedly that he or she would never return to cigarettes... But the Electronic Cigarette is an option that those of us on the subconscious fence can more easily adapt to, thus persuading our subconscious mind to concur with our conscious thoughts on the subject... Allowing ourselves to understand that this is quitting but we are still permitted to keep our little vices or substitute our habits with something less alarmingly detrimental to our health...

Try the Birthday Cake liquid from vipvaporcigs or elixirliquid.

I quit smoking after more than 30 years the day I got my Riva. I had one bad day at the casino but I forgave myself for that. As you can see by my signature I am coming up on my first vapersary.

Usually I'll think about smoking but grab my PV instead and then like an hour or two later I realize that I didn't even think about going to smoke since reaching for the PV.

This is the most accurate description about how I've managed to stay smoke-free for 12 days (2-3 packs a week for almost 10 years). I get mini-panic moments when I think about my prime "smoking" situations (car ride home from work, sitting on my balcony in the evenings, etc.), but I fire up my eGo and then forget all about it. I'm getting used to the idea that my "craving" is for something non-existent - I don't think a cigarette would satisfy it (it didn't even always do so when I was a smoker), and vaping gives me that "smoke"-blowing satisfaction.

Here is my story:

I smoked 1.5 packs a day since I was 15. I had my wisdom teeth taken out on March 10th, 2011 and picked up some patches out of fear of a dry socket. I got through the first three days and decided to see how long I could stick it out. I made it through all 3 steps but it was a rough ride full of mood swings and cravings. My fiance smokes so she would go out and smoke a cig, come back inside and I swear it was like a shark with a drop of blood in the water, I would get cravings and get very uncomfortable. I got through this by arguing with myself over smoking a cigarette. When I wanted one, I would ask myself if it would kill me if I did not smoke the cigarette, and if I wanted one after I did something else, go ahead and have one (take a shower, take out the trash, some task), the cravings were intense but would go away after a while and life would get to normal, but I was thinking about smoking A LOT.

One day in May I was at a local gas station and saw a disposable e-cig and figured what the heck, it was $10 and claimed to be equivalent to 2 packs of smokes. I got through that first e-cig the next day. So I bought another and started to do some research online because at $10 a pop, the disposables at the gas station were not sustainable. I happened to stop by a local tobacco store and they had an Envy nirvana starter kit (5 pre-filled carts, battery, atomizer, and USB charger for $20) I bought that and noticed they had Envy disposables ($10 a piece) as well so I also bought one to try it. I liked the disposable envy better as the flavor tasted better, the cartomizer produced more vapor and you could recharge the disposable batteries on the USB charger that came with the starter kit. The tobacco shop told me they were ordering liquid I could "re-fill" the carts with and it would be in the next week, so I bought disposables until the liquid came in (10ml for $20 a bottle) I then spent the first part of June buying $20/10 ML of Envy e-liquid and was happy because I did not know any better and my nicotine cravings were gone, my fiance's smoking no longer bothered me and I could vape at my desk at work.

I probably spent $200 up to that point on disposables, liquid, empty carts etc. I started to do more online research aimed at e-liquid as the Envy red energy was good but their regular flavor was not all that pleasing. I then found Johnson Creek and ordered their original sample pack and it was nice to try different flavors without spending $20 a pop on a 10ml bottle. I got through the original sampler pack and then ordered their red oak sample pack and a 24/mg 15 ml bottle of original from JC. Life was good, I was trying different juices and rocking with my Envy cartomizer and battery system until I bought another Envy disposable at the local tobacco store and noticed they were now one-piece units so no more cartomizer action.

I fired up the internet and found Totally Wicked and ordered the Tornado Tank starter kit, and 10 pre-filled clear tanks after watching the youtube video demo of the product. I really enjoy the Ego-T system and bought a USB pass through, a low resistance atomizer and a couple of bottles of e-liquid from TW. I recently ordered the CE2 XL clearomizers from TW and I am happy with those as well and they work on the 510 connections so I can use my tornado batteries. I don't have a desire to smoke cigarettes again, the setup I have now does the trick for me, I am more interested in flavor and convenience.

I'm sure there is a product out there that is better than the Ego-T or the clearomizers but I am happy with my setup now. I think there is a significant start up cost to vaping due to lack knowledge and tons of vendors and products to choose from. My local tobacco store has an enormous markup on e-liquid, had the Envy disposable e-cigs continued to be battery/cartomizer instead of a single piece unit, I would probably be using that and paying $20/10 ml bottle. With cigarettes at $6.80 a pack here, had I continued to smoke, I would have spent $600 over the last three months at a pack a day. My learning experience and the patches for 8 weeks probably cost me around the same.

The intangibles however are that I can taste now, I don't wheeze when I am laying in bed at night, I had my teeth cleaned and it is amazing how much staining had occurred because of smoking. I can run and not be totally winded, I don't smell like smoke which is a big deal to some people in a business environment, psychologically, I am happier than I was on the patch.

An e-cigarette/personal vaporizer is not equivalent to a cigarette in my opinion, different tastes/temperature/experience but it is close enough for me and there are benefits to vaping over smoking traditional cigarettes. What you do is a personal choice, try to think of smoking traditional cigarettes as simple a nicotine delivery device, switching to an e-cig/PV accomplishes the nicotine delivery in a different method and there are very positive aspects to delivering nicotine in this method versus a traditional cigarette.

At the very least, I cannot imagine spending more on e-cigarettes than I would have on traditional cigarettes. Read the forums and do your research, the Envy products are inferior to the Ego-t/510 platform I am vaping on right now.

I feel like I wrote a book.

tl;dr
You have found and/or are interested in the world of vaping and it is full of products, if you are reading this, you are in the right spot to do research. I smoked a lot and made the switch and hopefully so can you.

Good Luck!
TF

I tried many times to quit too. When I ordered my first kit I thought "OK, I will give it a try and see what happens."
Happy Vaping to you!

I smoked for 40 years was down from two packs to one pack a day and tried everything out there to quit, from acupuncture, hypnosis and all the patches, gum and drugs. None of it worked. I started vapeing and after about a month I quit analogs. End of this month it will be 9 months since I touched an analog, so for me Yes, Yes, Yes!!!!!!!!!!!! It worked for me and I am so happy and feel so much better. I am now working on cutting my nic down.
