Which helps you quit more, using a tobacco flavor or one off the wall? After 30+ years, I really hope I can quit poisoning myself.

you'll probably want to start with a good solid tobacco flavor. an ecig will never perfectly emulate a real tobacco cigarette, but it can come pretty damn close. if I were you I'd look at the e-juice section of this forum and just read reviews on e-juice until you find a tobacco that sparks your interest and receives positive reviews. if you stick with it over time you'll probably check out different flavors and zero in on whats best for you.

I’m 50 and my wife is 48. We both smoked since high school and both have been vaping for about 6weeks now. Like many others I lit up an analog weeks after quitting and YUCK! My 24 year old is a smoker but we got him started on vaping. I told him to be smarter than his parents and quit now and that I will even buy his juice!

after 15yrs i bought my starter set out of curiosity and mostly not to smoke when i'm in the room with my son. after a few puffs, my desire for a normal cig was gone. i kept them in other room so it was always more convinient to vape since that was close to me. but the bes thing - 18mg vape that is not too sweet really does the job of keeping the demons away :)

Yes, it does. However, i went back to analogs when my grandmother passed away a month ago. I had sold off/given away all my vaping gear and i snapped and smoked, much to my own disappointment. I regret it, and analogs jusst don't compare to vaping. Thank god i have new hardware on the way. I just can't wait to get my singing/screaming voice back.

I bought a disposable to try because they were going no smoking at my new job, even in the parking lot. I figured I wouold see if i liked it so i could at least keep from going crazy while at work, didn't even plan to stop smoking. I bought 2 disposables before i decided i really kind of liked it and got an elite 808 from cigeasy.

I was still smoking 3-4 analogs per day, until my elite arrived. haven't had one since then and don't plan on going back. I was a menthol smoker (pack per day for about 13 years) and i think the menthol flavors may be a bit easier to emulate just because of the menthol TH.

I smoked the cheapy cigs near the end but I know I will still save a ton of money not to mention have better health.

PS my kids love it!! Yhey were so happy when it wasn't smelly =)

What exactly are the "mall bought" ones? FYI I bought my first PV at the mall, and it was an Ego-T :p I quit analogs the day after I bought it, too. Have only had half a cig since then, and it was disgusting!

I could see, while talking with them, the Ecigs were falling apart and I know they would have bought based on price alone and they're not on the internet so research is out of the question. I'm certain that some mall bought ECigs are great so apologies to all those mall vendors out there that are selling quality products.

I smoked a pack and half a day for over 35 years. I got my V2 on August 4th and without even trying was only smoking two to three analogs a day. Any other time I put cigarettes down (cold turkey, patch, chantix) I never got over missing them. This e-cig is providing the satisfaction that I thought I could only derive from cigarettes.

August 29th was the last day I had an analog and with exception of a couple of times, have not really craved a regular cigarette. I will tell you that with the V2 I ordered a combination of medium and full (12mg and 18mg) prefilled cartomizers. I ran out of the full strength before my order was received and had to live two days with only the mediums. It wasn't horrendous, but it was more difficult. I found that the occassional inconsistancy in prefilled cartomizers also sometimes left me craving an analog. I now have a box mod (reo mini) that provides much more consistant vapor, a more definite throat hit, and I'm left with total 99% satisfaction. Point is, make sure you get a strong enough nicotine strength and order soon enough before you run out to preempt the increased possibility of relapse. Good luck!!

No, you were on the right track, as most mall brands are not the best.

But what really confuses me is you said they could only afford mall brands.
Usually the worst thing about mall brands is that they are drastically overpriced.

Some of the mall kiosks are starting to sell better gear. A bit higher priced than internet venders but at least you can get an Ego-T at the mall here. and juice if you need it. The really cheap but over-priced kits seem to have moved to gas station/convenience stores now.

I started with a kr808d-1 kit but didn't get serious until I bought a second kit. I found I can vape all day with four batteries.

I had a couple cigs here and there for the first month but since then have been entirely smoke free.

amazing, ain't it?

I smoked for years... and on April 2010.. I said ENOUGH!! Paying the ever increasing prices for a pack/carton of cigs... To date I feel better... never ever once wanted a regular smoke.. even when others are puffing away near me.. I have no desire to light up..
I have a GLV-2 and I love love love it...

Saved me a bunch of $$ since then too..
