My family's dog is a Golden Retriever. His name is Duke and he's a trained service dog who we inherited from my mother in law. His training slipped a bit under her ownership and he really needs a refresher course. But he's amazing in the pet category! Watching him play is so much fun, he prances around like a fancy pony!

Here is my new best friend Ike a little 5lb Pomeranian that adopted me. His former owners worked too much and decided they were not really dog people after buying him from a pet store so Ike spent the first 8 months of his life caged alot, had no vet care and was underweight. He was afraid to come out of his cage for a bit but now at almost 11 months old he is a happy healthy spirited little furball that I love with all my heart

My first puppy ever. I've owned several dogs over the years, but all were adopted as young adults. His name is Ace. He is part Boxer and part Walker Coonhound.

My little guy is growing up fast. Had him for a little over a month, and didn't notice the growth until I looked at his older pictures from right after I got him.
Cute dog. My mom used to have a dog named Ace. He was a GSD though. I like the name, and you rarely hear it.

Some of you may have seen the latest photo of my pup. If not here is a very recent picture. She just turned 10 months old here. My dog is hot natured. So all photos from now until fall will have her enormous tongue hanging out. 
I think she took more after her GSD mom, than her Aussie dad. But you can see both at times. She was pooped out when she sat briefly here, for the photo. Her hair is still turning sable. At first I didn't care for it. But it is getting better looking than it was at one time. She is still losing her winter coat.

I've used many different types of combs and deshedding tools that never really worked that well. I got a Furminator after reading tons of positive reviews even though I thought it was over priced for what it was. That was until I used it the first time. Within 15 mins, I had a mound of hair the size of my dog. I've never seen that much fur come off a dog before. Highly recommend the Furminator if your dog sheds at all.
My dog doesn't shed much, except getting rid of her winter coat. That could change as she gets older. I could have made a sweater from her hair already. I put some of it in a bag, in the freezer. I am going to use it for dubbing, to tie flies with...lol.
