Played with my Reos most of the day since there is nobody here playing much, not even in the chit chat thread lately it seems (not a hang out for me). We lost some folks with the software change that still remain lost. Now summer doldrums is taking it's toll I guess, sometimes common on forums when folks have too much else going on in their lives that time of year. I've seen many forums never come back to their former glory over the years after desertions, forums that had run wild for years. One ECF suppliers forums that was crazy active on its main thread (up to 100 pages a day) has still not come back from last summers doldrums, only has a skeleton crew now. Doubt that will ever happen here, but the same would have been said for that one back then. So looking forward to when it picks up here again ( I know it will in September).

Back to my corner.....

Hey Spydro! No need to go back to your corner. You are right and that it's a pretty busy time of year for many. That will soon change as the weather changes. Glad you put it out there.

I know I sure like to read over the threads in this forum but seldom reply. Good reminder for me to input more, rather than just assume everyone will just keep entertaining me. (Note to self).

Sooooo.....here goes....I love Reoville and all its inhabitants!!

Right back at you...new resident of Reoville, own a townhouse on the water! Drove out to my mothers house for the weekend to keep her company, had to bring 4 out of my 5 batteries, left one for my wife. I think I am going to buy a small charger for traveling, we are planning a trip to Mexico in January and I have never traveled with my Reo before.

When I went to Taiwan last summer for 3 weeks I just split everything out in my carry on, would leave the mod without batteries in the front pocket of my TSA approved laptop case. Also carried a manual I printed out from REOSMods website. Kept the batteries in a seperate case, KGD cotton in another bag. Then all my ejuice went into my quart size plastic bag with my other liquids. This netted me without any looks at the reo. Taiwanese, Japanese, and American security didn't even hesitate to check em out. I also took Rob's card with me, with the phone number, e-mail address, and website. The manual I printed up also had the URL on the print out since I had printed it from the website.

I carried some wire cutters, small scissors, small precision tool kit, and a small amount of kanthal a-1 onto my checked luggage.

Another tip I've learned is to not have cords and other stuff jumbled in your bag. Make everything nice and seperate for the X-ray machine. Anything clustered makes TSA/customs want to check things out. Taiwan is also anti-vaping/anti-smoking, which I did not know until I recently saw a reddit thread about vaping in different countries. Overall in Asia I didn't have an issue vaping. I was mostly discreet anyways.

Thanks Camerjunkie, you have given me some good ideas, a tool kit of some kind is a great idea along with keeping thing separate!

No problem, also I forgot to mention about the clustering thing. Density is a keyword as well, when things are packed on top of each other the X-ray machine sees a thick mass. So keeping everything managed in your bag is great for travels.

If you fly domestic often enough, the TSA pre-check for $176 is pretty cool! You breeze on by! Also don't mean to be a pest, but whatever you do, do not vape in non-designated areas of airports. Utilize the smokers lounge.

Tips for juice bottles, I hate buying premium e-liquid, but they typically have seals and the bottles that don't look janky. Whenever I travel, I don't take janky looking, dirty bottles. Everything looks brand new and sealed. I may be paranoid, but I like to think that TSA and other security personnel like that I'm making it easy for them. If you do bottle your own, try to emulate a finished product that clearly labels whats inside and percentages. I even go as far as to ensure that the bottles are plastic as well over glass.

Charger unfortunately stays with checked luggage, although I might attempt to take it on me, with the power cable wrapped nice and seperate. Going to Taiwan again in November. Yay for 23 to 26-hr flight!

Yeah when a killer device gets improved to the point where it's infallible there is a whole lot less posts cause people are just out there vaping their brains out - very few trouble shooting posts anymore.

Hell, even with attys, I think people are just kinda "set" now cause they are getting such a good vape.

Lol I should do a vlog - that'll spice it up a lil :). Ha. It's been a while since I've done a Vaping xtra. I think this weekend I'll do one to pop my goofy mug and my REO grands on screen :)

I'm chillin and roll thru here every day multiple times but there is little I can offer that ya'll haven't already covered :)

Here's two of my grands on this gloriously beautiful Sunday AM.

I think that's a good point. With the new contacts, the redesigned 510 connector, and the options available for both metal Reos and Woodvils, these things have become so darn reliable, that there are lots less 'troubleshooting' type threads.
I stopped in a local vape shop yesterday, to pick up some coil heads for Ms Rule's Subtank thing she uses. The guy at the counter is a pretty knowledgeable guy, about the latest trends, anyway, and we talked for a while. He was not real familiar with Reos or bottom feed attys, so I was going through the ins and outs of the set up I had with me. One comment and question he had was: 'I understand Reos are popular, and thousands have been sold around the world. So, why don't we ever see them in the wild? Yours is the first one I've ever actually seen.'
After thinking about it, my answer was: "Probably because Reo owners don't often go to vape shops. There's nothing there that we need or want. We've found what we like, and what works".

Actually, I think it's been busy around Reoville all summer long. Certainly more busy than other places on ECF. I usually check things out on a daily basis... just to see what's up. Sometimes post; sometimes don't. Work on weekends. More active during the week.

....but you can count on this. Everytime I look in, there's a Grand in my hand, and coffee in the other.

What happened Saturday was dead in here as Spydro has said, I get up walk into the family room with my Reo and a coffee and I had 10 replies on my V3 thread. I enjoy reading all the new threads as well, hearing all the news, Russ everyone should drive a jeep once in their lives it's a blast! Every once in a while when I need a speed fix I borrow my brothers Audi A4, a sports car is a different breed of automobile to drive.

Hope you all enjoy your Sunday, it's looks to be a beautiful day here in Vancouver.
