I think it's a case of each to their own. the ego T suits some people and others want more. I would agree on the taste being a little muted but as for vapor I dont see any difference than any other method using a riva/ego/tornado battery. My personal experience with them has been great............in fact since I started using them I haven't had a cigarette, but did using other methods. cartomisers were too much hassle for me and dripping too time consuming, plus i always seemed to get a mouthful of juice even if i just dripped 1 drop in. Long term I want something more.............like a GGTS with UFS or a Provari with a juice feeder. That is because I want something more and am prepared to pay a bit more for that. I think for a basic start up option this is a good one............it beats the hell out of my original e-cig "the super". as for the atties the very first one i bought is still in use, it's used a lot more than the others.......though the LR version has just taken it's place lol. and even when i do get a GGTS with UFS (or provari) I can still see me using the tanks on a daily basis for work and I cant see me carrying an expensive thing like that around :) happy vaping people :)

I too love my T. I clean it out nightly with a Q-tip then insert a piece of rolled up paper towel in it overnight to absorb any excess juice. A couple of drops of liquid on it in the morning and she's ready to go. Of course you can't compare it to mods they are just different animals, both do what they do and have their place. For me the eGo T is perfect for long drives and when I'm out and about, my mod is for at home or at meets etc. As Joye perfects this system I think it will only get better. Just as with juices everyone has their own opinion and tastes, for us, myself, husband, SIL and several friends the T is what we were looking for.

I have never met a MAP tank that couldn't turn my favorite juice into complete crud.

I have to agree with that one, why cant someone come out with a "inexpensive clear universal 510 Atomizer tank to use on all mods", it is a simple fitting with a piece of good lexan with stainless or delrin caps, I still say this would be a winner..!!! user friendly 3-4mls Elindil ?

I really want it exactly as described though Elindil, I cant believe no one has made this, especially our Modders right here in our own back yard. It's not even brain surgery to make this fitting and tank, not all these orings and pieces either, it's crazy with all the great Modders we have no one has made this yet.

All of you folks diggin' your eGo T's are using them wrong.

Apparently when used to vape, they work well; clearly the problem comes in when you use them to "take a toot".

I know GG is a legend of sorts and his cool-factor is amplified by his use of catch-phrases but "take a toot" is absolutely the dumbest thing I've ever heard anyone say in a vaping vid. Its right up there with "ummmmmm..." and I simply cannot take him seriously.

Maybe I'm just not "reckless" enough.

I'm very happy for the people who enjoy their eGo-T's and I wish I was one of them. I did. I really did. I will one day rebuilt all 4 of mine that died on me on the 2nd day. I could never make them work right after numerous attemps to bring them back to life. I almost bought a pack of cigarettes. Seriously. That doesn't make any sense. I hate to say it but they are not reliable. Check out the posts and do some research on the problems they are having. Look at the people that used to be happy. I really don't know why people think they are good at all. They all crapped out on me and I did everything to that poor little wick. If you are reading this and happy with yours now, please please please have some sort of backup that won't leave you stranded. It will happen to some of you if not all, its just a matter of time.

There are large inconsistencies in the wicks they are putting in these units. Some are perfect and work like a champ and some that work after you play with the wick a little (these are the ones you have been getting). That's what you've been getting so far. And then there are the others that have a wick that's too small and some that have wicks too big. A wick that is too big will fail very soon. It'll block the flow of e-liquid. They'll work at first but die very quickly. The small wick will leak at first or fall out because there's no pressure holding it in the piercing tube or it falls out one day when you stick in a fresh tank. It is not a place you want to be, trust me. I've been there.

I finally bought mine after seeing all the great video reviews and even after seeing the negative things about them on the boards. I read and read for 2 days about these little gems and figured it was something they were doing wrong. I even learned to take them apart, adjust the wick and put them back together again. Nothing worked after 2 days of jacking with them. I will later rebuild them with new wicks and hope that makes them work.

DO THE RESEARCH THESE THINGS SUCK PEOPLE

I saw really good reviews from respectable people and that's why I got mine. But if you haven't checked out GrimmGreen's review, you really need to because he dont play games. He tells it like it is. Maybe he got a bad set. I know he did. You have all gotten Lucky SO FAR All 4 atty's (2 from 2 different vendors and one is highly acclaimed on this board) died in 2 days.

If you are one of the happy customers I just hope and pray that it doesn't happy to you.

Thats all I have to say about that.

I'm sorry that happened to you. Mine has been one of those that has worked well since I got it. Same atomizer, same tank, for about a month. So, at this point even if I do have to buy new atomizers right now it has been worth it. I don't even clean mine much. Flavor is reduced. But it was better after I cleaned the atomizer really well. I might get a bad atomizer in the future but so far I love the Ego Tank.

It's a secret!
I can't get mine to work well either. First few drags are great... just like dripping. Then it quickly loses any flavor for a couple drags, then starts tasting burned. Awful.

I've been dripping in the t atty and that works just fine. But I can't get the tanks themselves to work for any length of time. I've gone through all five in the pack.

I find it funny when I see a statement like, "I had 10 break in 2 days" and "if yours worked longer than a week, you are lying" WTF is that? Just because you are completely inept with something, doesn't mean everyone is. The odds of 10 atties dying in a very short time, to the same person, in a row, is probably 10 million to one. Do you really think you are that lucky, or un-lucky? Only way that happens if you got screwed by a vendor by selling you non working display models or something.

I have two complete kits, one for me and one for the wife. Been about a month and a half and we both are on our original 2 atties. Heck, I think the wife is still using her original one and hasn't opened the second. I did have one leak, that I fixed with a new wick, and am sucking on it as we speak.

Is it the best out there? I don't know, it is the only one I have ever had. Will it die in 15 minutes? Don't know that either, but considering thousands of people have been having very good luck with them, compared to a handful that haven't, I will take my chances.

Working great for me. I'm going on the third week with a used T that was used for 2 weeks before I got it. I'm using the same tank also and I refill it 4-6 times a day. No leaking, good vape, I'm happy with it.

This thread reminds me of the threads a little over a year ago about the bad vs good of 510 attys. There are still people posting that their attys last only a day or two or a week or two. I have had only 2 "go bad" since I started vaping back in "09.

I'm thankful we all have a choice in what and how we vape because of all the varieties of hardware and juice available. Obviously everything is NOT for everybody and what may NOT work out for some people is NOT necessarily garbage, just NOT for them.

I say keep looking and you will find what suits YOU. The T (among other things) suits me just fine.

Learn 2 read. Never said they died. They started tasting like .... after only one day, heck after 1ml.. All of them are 'working', just taste like .....

Completely inept, huh? Right on! -- Keep going.

I'm going through attys at the rate of one per week with two always in rotation. The last one, an LR, I got in the mail this afternoon at 3pm. It died at midnight.

I've never had a single problem with leaks, I don't mind the cool vape and actually prefer the milder TH.

But really, I can't seriously be spending a buck or two per day on "atty rent".

510 attys last me for months, never had a problem with them.

IMO:

eGo T attys suck. Period. Out of the 10 attys I tried I didn't get more than 1 day of good vaping out of them. NOT one day. I guess I received 10 duds then. I've read enough posts on ECF to know I'm not the only one. And IMO anyone who says they use their T attys for a week, yet alone two or three, are [blank]....

It's hard for me to believe you went through 10 attys in 10 days. In fact, it's a lot harder for me to believe that you bought 10 ego-t attys at all (let alone had all 10 fail in 10 days) than it is for me to believe there are plenty of people just like me having no trouble at all. No need to let any imaginations fill in any blanks. I simply don't believe you.

Well, there are fixes for the bad taste. Normally if you pop off the plate with the piercing tube, and adjust the wick to make sure it contacts the coil, it should fix your problem. I still find it odd if all 10 were "bad", unless you got a batch of generic ones or something. With fairly overwhelming positivity to it in general, it just seems odd. I also think the factory wicks get burnt and "shrink" away from the coil leading to the bad taste. I know in a couple of mine I played with, the wicks were pretty black, and very short after a month or so. I just replaced the wick in these and they are working great again.
