I'm one of the ones who was also disappointed with the eGO-T. One of the 4 atties I purchased popped a week after arrival. It was replaced free, and I was happy. I also got the burned taste on several oocasions, and fixed it by dripping on the wick. However, the biggest problem I had with the eGO-T was the taste. There was a musty, plastic taste...like water that's been left in a cheapo plastic bottle in a hot car for a few days (or longer). If they made the tanks out of a decent, food-grade plastic, or even stainless steel, then the unit might work. Since that hasn't happened (that I'm aware of) then I'm back to carts & atties and cartos. Too bad, as I like the size of the eGO, and my batteries work like champs...even though they're the old style. Concept good, execution bad.

What color tanks did you get? I've read maybe 6 or 7 other people say the same thing and I keep forgetting to ask.

I'm liking mine. I had gone back to analogs after just 6 months of vaping because I was tired of messing with mods, dripping, and over all just having to jack with it all the time. When I came back to see if there had been anything new come on the scene since I had quit, there was these. I already had an ego kit from before, so I ordered a T atty and some carts. From Cignot, love them.

Yes, the flavor on the reg T atty is muted, no doubt about that, for me at least. I still had two new reg 510 attys I hadn't used, so I dripped and Tanked to compare. Yes the taste is muted, but nothing I can't get past. It's the convenience of it that has got me vaping again.

Most smokers are not going to want to jack around all the time with this and that, they want to smoke and be done with it. This system is going a long way towards that end. I do hope to see it improved on, and I have no doubt that it will over time. But for now, this has got me off of analogs again.

I'll be trying the LR attys soon and see if that gets back some of the flavor. That said, I feel confident that I'll not go back to analogs with the convenience of this system, and for me, that's what it's all about.

i think we all got our own opinions... but telling that dont buy the ego-t is more likely better to tell it to yourself not to buy it...everybody has a bad and good experience... it could be a user error or the device error...i respect u for this thread but telling everyone not to buy it its just not right.... my 2 cents hope no one gets offended

There is no perfect pv for all users. For me with a smooth 5 second vape using anywhere from 50/50 to 70/30 pg vg juice @ 36 nic this is as close to perfect as anything I have tried

I had that same taste when I first got mine. I tried soaking the tank cartridge in vinegar, grain alcohol, etc., and I continued to taste that plastic. But then, after I cleaned my atomizer and kept on vaping anyway, it finally went away. In fact, the flavor is almost as good as when I use the regular Ego. So, I'm not so sure the plastic taste is in the tank cartridge. Maybe it is but its gone now. I guess the test would be if I opened a new cartridge and tried it on the same atomizer. I think I will do that later today and quote my own post.

I'm not 100% satisfied with the eGo-T because my taste buds are back to normal and I'd like more flavor, so I'm trying everything else under the sun but keep going back to the -Ts because they're so easy to refill and I can see my juice level. The only thing left on my list to try is the CE2 clearos....

That said, 3 of my 4 family members (mother and both siblings) have switched to vaping using the eGo-T and don't have anything bad to say about it. The difference is they don't know there *may* be something better.

They produce more vapor (albeit less flavor) than LR Boge cartos (in my experience) and are an absolute breeze to refill.

I had respect for grimmgreen up until I saw his review of the eGo-T. His "experience" doesn't match mine at all. I take half the length of drags he does and wind up with more (up to double) the vapor he did in his pitiful attempt to show how "terrible" they are. His little review felt, to me, like he was just jumping on some "Hate the eGo-T" bandwagon, he didn't give it a fair shake at all.

Length of time on the atties..... I set aside my first attie to use for parts last week, and it was 5 weeks old. I used it exclusively until it's performance dwindled too much.

As far as cleaning goes; I give them a 15 minute soak in mouthwash once a week. Gets the gunk off the coil and the wicking.

Guess I was expecting too much form this system. After using it for a while now I have found that the plastic taste is not as pronounced, but still there anyhow. Also the atty seems to have the flavor go off within about 8 to 10 hours of use & must be cleaned. The flavor is still muted, but I am comparing it to a CE2 on a 3.7 KR808D1 battery & a 3.0 ohm cartomizer.
This post wasn't intended to do anything but advise noobs like me about the disadvantages of this system.
We all spend a lot on hardware looking for the right thing for our own situation & I think this is a system with promise, but still needs developing further.
That is all.
If I offended anyone & am truly sorry as that was not my intent.

I used these and have now given up on them. No one reason, just a combination of things.

Pros:

When new, they worked really well for me.
Convenient filling.

Cons:

Never had one last more than a week before 1) the vapour dropped off to nothing or 2) the coil blew out.
The design has a few flaws. 1) The spike plate has to be removed in order to see the coil so you can dry burn it safely 2) the spike wick is over delicate and has a propensity to fall to pieces 3) Caramelised juice wicks back into the tank and discolours the juice in there.
Price!!!

I could live with the problems if the price was the same as, say, a CE2, but the current price and the rate I get through them make them too expensive to use. I use about 4-5 ml per day.

I don't think there is anything wrong with threads like this. We need to build up the good PVs and if there are those that aren't working right everyone needs to know before making a decision. I tried the ego-t and it was just too much trouble. I had been looking at the Go-Go since Dec and didn't buy one because it was proprietory but after the Tank let me down I bought a Go-Go after reading all the good reviews. I wish I would have got one in Dec because it works great. It has a 1300 mah battery and a 3 mil carto that is as easy or easier than the tank to fill and holds three times the juice. No leakage, juice in the mouth or dry hits. I've finally found the one I was looking for, for the last year and a half. :vapor:

What brand?

I use ACT because it's what I use daily; has *most* of the same ingredients as Crest Pro Health which was recommended in some huge long cleaning thread here, and the ACT does exactly what was described of the Crest Pro Health from that thread. I see black specs coming off almost instantly.

I don't use alcohol because it pulls the color plating off my atties. I don't use just plain water because it doesn't get the black gunk off my wicks.

The *only* downside to this is it tends to taste minty for a bit. I just vape a tank of minty juice through it then switch back to my normal flavors (after a blow through) and I'm back in business.

This method hasn't worked for getting a TERRIBLE flavor from a freebie juice sampler out of one of my standard 510 atties, however. I even gave it a 24hr soak and I can still smell the disgustingness.

Thanks, I'll have to make sure I pick some of that up. Would Listerine do the job? I have some already. Mouthwash has got to be a lot cheaper than Vodka or PGA. I have had the paint come off of two of my atties as well, with both Vodka and alcohol TW's devil logo somehow managed to survive in both cases though. I have also boiled them, and that did OK. Honestly though the only great way I have found to clean the wick really well is to pop the needle and wick out and then just burn the gunk off with a lighter, and then doing a hot water rinse afterward. I find I have to do this once a week or so. Removing the needle is easy. It can be done with a flat blade screwdriver. Just place the screwdriver down on one of the sides with the slot and push the needle against it, and it pops loose. I use a 1/4 inch nut driver to snap them back in place. Worse case scenario, I have to build another wick with the Lipton pyramid tea bags and silica rope. I try to avoid dry burning the atties, to prevent popping them and doing damage to the reservoir in them, and have yet to find a great way to clean the coils. I have tried boiling, Vodka, alcohol and sprite.. hopefully the mouthwash will do better, I didn't think to try that, thanks!

All of you folks diggin' your eGo T's are using them wrong.

Apparently when used to vape, they work well; clearly the problem comes in when you use them to "take a toot".

I know GG is a legend of sorts and his cool-factor is amplified by his use of catch-phrases but "take a toot" is absolutely the dumbest thing I've ever heard anyone say in a vaping vid. Its right up there with "ummmmmm..." and I simply cannot take him seriously.

Maybe I'm just not "reckless" enough.

HAHAHAHAHA! love it. After watching a couple of his youtube vids I came to the same conclusion. 'I'll just take a toot' seriously? Are you like 5 or something?

Whenever I click a link and see it's him...well sorry I close that browser window before I have to listen to that stupid catch phase.
