Juan, don't let fear stops you from buy from China, I can tell you my friend, I have bought a lot of times from heaven gifts, a lot of my friends have too, no one, not even once have had any problems at all.

One time the post office manager kept one of my shipments, but ironicly, the package came from the US, he wanted money for give it to me, I didn't accept, recently the guy was moved to another office and the problem is gone.

I have even had packages opened by customs and they didn't sized it, so DO NOT WORRY, buy FROM CHINA, it is not a problem for small personal packages.

good advice, many on ecf can vouch for wayne at Wholesale & Retail Best E-smoking Supplier i however have no idea about your customs but if what lithium1330 says is true a starter kit and a couple atomizers should help you with some design of your own. i quit work yesterday and am playing with the google sketchup and alibre design, will try to get a good 3d model and explanation of the atty for you to try to make your own.

I would suggest healthcabin, the shipping is pricey, but just got my 510 in and LOVING it. Quality was good, ship time was good. Other than that, the basic concept (and feel absolutely free to correct me if I'm wrong) is a 3.7 volt battery rigged to a button switch and LED, the current runs through a tungsten or tungstenrhenium wire with a steel mesh wick which contacts the cart where the fluid is stored. I have no clue where you could get a wire like that but the rest of the parts could probably be scavenged from various household items including flashlights, steel wool, and parts from pens. Just be careful man, don't want anyone to get hurt.

One thing I found if I have to smoke analogs is to use a filter to remove the tar. I found that Nic-outs are great. It cuts out 90 % (though I have not found any offical reports stating this) of the tar. I think they are better than Targuard. If you have a Walgreens you can get them there or on-line. I hope this helps until you find a e-cig. My husband was just diagnosed with COPD and I look for anything that helps him. Good luck and God Bless.

As some of you may know i joined this forum posting this:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/62068-e-cig-banned-mexico.html

Searching for a way to help me keep of smoke (today is almost a week tobacco free), and so for my father that is getting worse each day, he smokes 2-3 cigs a day but cant totally cut the tobacco so far, problem is hes 64 years old and might not last long if he continues smoking tobacco.

Sadly trying to buy from any store in the US has been a let down, most of them wont ship outside US, and the ones that do dont ship to Mexico, then theres the chinese stores but the shipping rate is pretty high and im not confident of the products quality, also anything that comes from China to Mexico gets promptly searched for piracy so is kinda risking it a lot to order from there.

I was thinking on making an ecig here with parts but kinda hard to make when i dont fully understand the concepts behind it, how much vapor the device produces, and a lot of questions i have that cant be completely answered without trying an actual device for myself.

So i guess is farewell for now, is a nice community you people got here and i hope someday this stupid ban is lifted from Mexico.

ok here is the best i could do under the influence with a program i dont have much experience with. i think its good enough to figure out how to make one.
atty.jpg

The darkest grey is the nickel foam over a thin metal bridge to keep it ridged and provide solid contact with foam in cart, can be replaced with stainless steel wool. the bridge can easily be dripped onto.

The lighter grey is the silica wick, found cheap as wood stove gasket rope, needs to be burned with a torch first to remove the protective layer, i think this gets crispy and gunks up most attys.

The red is a 36-40 gauge nichrome wire, rated at aprox. 3.4 to 4 ohms. 36 will be the strongest but will also be longer to make up for resistance. use a high temp iron and high silver content solder to keep connection for a long time, also soldier on top of atty not behind, couldnt show that in pic. make sure the wick is connected solid to the bridge and inside the coil and the foam/wool doesnt touch the coil

the white is a ceramic tub, you can probably use a ceramic wire nut or dremel out a proper shaped stoneware plate or any nonconductive food grade fired clay type dishes.

secure all of this inside of a copper or stainless tube (wouldnt use aluminum, would taste nasty and has possibility of impurities) with plain clear silicone sealant, just make sure its completely cured and fumes are gone, it is food grade and higher temp rated than the white caulking the industry uses. add your choice of electrical connector. use for direct dripping unless you can get ahold of a cart and try to imitate the air bypass and juice storage. dont forget to allow an air bypass either from below or beside the heating element.

hope this helps and makes sense. i will review it tommorow as i am a bit more than slightly inebriated atm.

Everyone thanks for the replys.

Lithium1330 i made ur blog a favorite (muchas grax de verdad no sabes la ayuda que me estan dando)

myownslave you rock man, the model u made is rly grat and helps me understand a little bit better whats going on in the attys.

I understand that i might be seeing the dark grey u describe as blue? but i guess that semi circular thing is the nickel foam?

I think i got the other stuff covered as far as understanding goes, what i dont comprehend is how it works as a whole, the liquid somehow drips over a "hole?" into the blue foam, then it soaks the wick which in turn is heated to very high temps by the nich wire vaporizing the liquid.

And you say if i case this i could drip liquid manually on the hmm i guess the foam? unless i make my own home made cartridge to fuel the foam automatically.

Is that grey piece connecting the wick with the metallic wool?

If this is how it works then i can see some problems on the hmm ecig positioning, like if you lay down on the bed and try to smoke, the vertical position would make the eliquid flood the atty?

Also as for this system is very likely after some liquid of a cartridge is consumed to none reach the atty unless u erm put it vertically for a moment so the liquid drips in it?

the dark grey i was describing in fact was called blue in the program lol, must be my laptop... or the beer. the semi circular thing is the bridge, it is tin under for rigidity (this is important as the nichrome is not electrically insulated and it holds the foam up to contact the filler in the cartridge for proper wicking)

the funky looking lighter grey assembly is really just silica rope the whole way (still figuring out google sketch it), it is tucked under the foam on the bridge for good wicking from the bridge and is routed into the coil, the coil is actually wrapped around the silica. this to the best of my knowledge is really important as is, it leaves one side open so the wire can heat rapidly and the other side is touching the PG or VG based fog solution (same as some fog machines) so atomization begins as you press the button, as you draw the heated fog is removed from the wick to be inhaled and by evaporative cooling the coil stays at a fairly constant temp once you begin to draw, this is trial and error especially in a homemade unit im sure.

yes you would drip 1 to a few drops on top of the bridge to be wicked along the bridge=> along the silica=> to the silica the coil is wrapped around to be heated and inhaled.

as far as flooding at different angles, it does to a small degree at least in my 801, i have not noticed it as much on my 510, the spongy material used for filler is saturated but not beyond holding, so when the bridge touches the filler it naturally wicks all along the system to even out saturation, similar to osmosis in this aspect. so if you dont overfill and find a good filler/bridge foam you shouldnt have any flooding issues.

i am heading over to help some friends from the valley get their 510s, 302, 801 and njoy pro started with some liquid and mods :D

let me know if you download/use google sketchup, i can email you the file for the atty and work on the rest of the PV, i think the whole file is <2 mb. let me know if you have any more questions. i start basic combat training for the army in 2 weeks so if you have questions ask here or PM me, im on almost every day here. again i hope this is clear and helps for your purposes.

some of the china distributors will re-ship for free if it gets nabbed from customs... check heaven gifts or eastmall and see if they extend that offer to Mexico.

Read the entire thing Twisted. The China distributers will reship if the order is returned to them by China Customs. Once it gets out of China, you have to deal with your countries Customs on your own.
