As to that site, it's generally reasonable, but like anything don't believe it because you read it on the internet. Especially regarding addictive qualities of nicotine. While nicotine itself does not cause significant illness or is a carcinogen, there's plenty of evidence it is addictive. .
I don't believe it because I read it on the internet. In fact, my point is, I can't find it to read on the internet. Please cite something, anything, to support your 3rd sentence. That's my point- we've all taken it for granted that it's proven that nicotine is addictive, because we've heard it for decades. But EVERYTHING everyone cites relates to nicotine delivered via tobacco combustion. After reading about potential health benefits of nicotine a while back, I started looking a while back for anything that supports your statement, but simply can't find it. And lets forget the illness and other negative effects - that's not what I'm talking about. Show me anything that shows nicotine without tobacco combustion is addictive at all, much less highly addictive. I'm not being combative, Eskie - I'd really like to see and know, rather than taking it as a given.

Shoes? In Florida? That's just wrong. Flip-flops are fine, and sandals if you're being formal.

Yes, a lot of things have been debated here- many are subjective, and can't be proven. But so often, people state, as a matter of simple, established fact (the earth isn't flat!), that nicotine is highly addictive incessantly- yet after over 60 years of study, it's odd that there isn't a ton of evidence to substantiate that. Okay, not a ton, but how about a single study? You would think there would be at least one single study that relates to nicotine without tobacco, right? I accepted it for years, but am kind of shocked that there isn't a scintilla of evidence that I can find to support it. But if you state this, people think you're a tinfoil hat wearing, black helicopter kind of guy. OK, rant over, but - why do we all question so many things that are far more studied, documented, and "proven", but not this?

There are dozens and dozens more. Tobacco adds additional addictive issues including other chemicals in the soup, but there's plenty of evidence nicotine has all the properties of an addictive substance.

I think my customer must have been watching. Yesterday she said to me "oh you smoke"? I said I haven't smoked in over 7 years, she said "oh well vaping is the same thing". I earlier noticed she had an electrical fake fireplace and I said, is that the same as a wood burning fireplace and she said no and I said, it's the same thing, no difference. I then had to set her straight and she listened.
