Scott, I have stalked every post you have made because of the picts of your mod'd Ego. That is the absolute cleanest juice delivery system I have seen to date. If you are not gonna do something with it, I certainly hope the "big" boys have seen it and are paying attention. A PV like that would just own the market IMO.

I almost missed it.. didn't realize you guyz waz talkin' about me behind my back!! ;)

Regarding the boat.. believe it or not, it is currently all torn apart and once again in the "not suitable for floating" condition. This pains me deeply since floatin' and G-string season is rapidly approaching. Of course I'll be updating the web page with the "latest and greatest", but this time the mods are more structural than aesthetic (eliminating yet more wood from the original design).

Regarding the "bottom feeder".... I gotta tell you guys... this thing is all I vape on these days (aside form running off in the corner once in a while with the Bartleby and some Turbo cartomizers). Not to gloat or rub salt in any wounds.. but I have simply forgotten what it was like to drip or top off cartridges.

But I will also tell you that there is more to "automatic bottom feeding" than meets the eye. juice consumption rate is anything but a simple constant. It obviously varies with voltage (the difference between "3.1V" and true 3.7V is more than one would think)... it also varies with atty resistance (I'm all LR atty all the time now)... and it varies with the juice (both viscosity and vaporization "rate"). If one were to think that they could just "jet" this thing, or come up with an injection rate and be done with it.. they would be sorely mistaken.

I've got enough "ml" under my belt with this thing that I can readily tell when it is under or over feeding and can adjust within seconds. But if I ever make a 3rd generation unit, I will try to incorporate one more "adjustment" feature so I could "tune" it even easier. I have ideas on how to do it.. but it involves some interesting machining challenges in order to maintain the aesthetics.

im thinkin we gotta wait till he gets about 4 boat outings, then needs to save up for gas.then maybe we can get some mod info.:)

You were closer to being right than one might think! :toast:

Been doing a lot of "floatin'" recently.... and I can't begin to tell you how afraid I've been that my one and only Tornego II would slip from my grasp, tumble off of the SS SunBlocker.. and be forever forsaken to the depths of Okauchee Lake.

This has forced me to.... brace yourself.. wait for it.. wait for it.....

Yes, make a spare!

;)

Hi Scottbee,

Knowing there are 2 of these in the world, this doubles my chances of getting one. If you are planning to toss one in the lake it looks like I'll have to take up scuba diving or build a robotic fish to retrieve the precious remnants.

Extremely nice work, and very motivating :toast:

Well.. if you ever do build that robotic fish.. just send it out to our local "Party Island". You can make a ton off of recovered tennis bracelets, bikini tops, and wedding rings.

And yes.. the wedding rings just seem to magically fall off (as do the bikini tops).... ;)

Anybody who has seen me in action knew that this was coming. Heck.. I knew it was coming.

Late, late, late Saturday night (OK, technically, early Sunday morning) Neptune himself reached up and pulled me off of my pier. Fully dressed, wearing a duster, wallet in the pants, Super Tornego II in the shirt pocket.

As with many things that have served us well, she has been committed to the deep. Donning scuba gear (not really that recommended when you are bleeding to death out of your eyes and you feel like a toasted bag of elephant dung), many attempts were made to raise her and reunite her with her master.. but it was for naught. She is.. alas... forever gone.

I salute her with a long, deep vape off of Super Tornego II, the clone.

<sigh>

And just for giggles... a thermal image of the Super Tornego II in front of my coffee cup:
