But perhaps certain products to a few of us are so obvious that one will work better than the other. Example you can't really compare 901 against pen style as the pen always will outperform 901 that's obvious to any fool that as experienced both units. Which I have and many friends of mine have.

thats the problem ned.. there are at least a couple of "fools" here who would say otherwise..

i would and so would darcy if he dare speak up.. i have a pair of both types in front of me now.. whats obvious to one fool dont seem the same as what obvious to another fool..

now either u are correct ned or i am correct ned.. we both cant be correct and until its decided which of us is correct total confusion will continue to reign.. i hate total confusion and would like to get rid of it and arrive at some facts..

so ned which one of us is correct.. are u taking rubbish or am i talking rubbish.. one of us needs to be proved wrong even if that one dosnt like it..

i am about to produce a decent (not look like a real cig) e smoking device with a battery thats big enough to work..

i still havnt decided which atomizer to fit it with.. a 901 or a classic.. both have their good and bad points.. the classic will look nicer and has bigger carts.. the 901 works better and has the smaller cart but wont look quite as nice..

but ned.. u are telling me i have all this wrong.. odd isnt it..

trog

ps.. no probs kit i am simply trying to arrive at some e smoking facts.. all this "subjective" conjecture is doing my head in and of no use to anybody.. i dont realy dispute what u say about the bling.. i do dispute what u said about the 901 tho.. i did try bling liquid in a 901 by the way.. and a pipe.. u havnt..

which ever way you go trog, put me down for 2. i have noticed that people seem to smoke cigarettes differently and this also goes for EC's. on some devices, my brother gets a really good hit, when he passes on to me, and im not pleased. then others i will enjoy but he says are too strong or dont work. so im beginning to think our inconsistsencies might have to do with the nature of our lips.

different devices have to be sucked at differently.. but i assume the user soon works this out.. but its all simple to me.. a device has to have a light-ish draw.. no hard sucking to get vapour.. it has to produce enough vapour.. the concept of one producing too much vapour is alien to me.. my problem is always getting them to produce enough vapour.. most dont..

but the fluid used plays a huge part.. its mistake to condemn a device purely cos the liquid it comes with dosnt taste nice..

wimp devices simply do not feed me enough nicotine.. wimp devices are like smoking a real cig with a bloody hole in it.. mind u some do buy such things.. he he he

but anybody that used to buy real cigs with holes in em should have no problems with the average e cig.. its real nicotine addicts that need reliable and consistent vapour delivering nicotine in sufficient quantities to their systems that are having the bloody problems..

How do you know? did you think that after buying 50 carts of ruyan juice.. it wasn't going to enter my mind to try it in the 901.
it was one of the first things i did when it arrived.
im not disputing the 901 is no good i was dripping every 40 mins or so and using fresh batterys every 4 hours first 15 puffs were nice then it always seemed to tail off and it felt like smoking air..i tried every thing using new atomizers on a daily basis to see if it would improve..cycling through 6 brand new batteries every 2 to 3 hours.. but after 15 puffs it was like smoking air to me ..but the next person it might not.
take darcy it seems to deliver for him every time hes lucky i had to move on.......

as for the bling.. well it works as it should.. pop a cart in and it delivers moderate to low quantities of nice cigar tasting vapour and it empties the cart nicely..

the copy.. well looked at very closely it hard to see what the bling has the other one dosnt..

how do they differ.. the copy draws more current and runs its atomizer hotter.. this produces more vapour than the ruyan but probably means the batteries wont run as long and the atomizer wont live as long.. win some lose some..

the copy soon stops getting enough liquid from the ruyan cart and starts to taste bitter.. unlike the ruyan u cant just pop a cart in and have it work.. but more vapour means more liquid.. the copy needs dripping to work.. again win some lose some..

the copy leaks fluid into the battery when dripped the ruyan dosnt.. but the ruyan dosnt seem to work better when dripped.. the extra fluid just puts the fire out so to speak..

the ruyan is a balanced system.. it simply works.. the copy when dripped produces more vapour but leaks and its a pain having to keep dripping.. again win some lose some..

both use cheap batteries which is why i liked them.. but i dont use either.. they are both now shelf ornaments..

as for that five year guarantee.. i think the bling is a ruyan discontinued product and i cant see em being around for much longer.. this applies to the old stock carts as well.. a but being as none of us have crystal balls.. the future is still the future and we dont know..

trog

ps.. some of the newer 901 batteries we have kit go flat after two hours.. its 901s biggest weak spot.. i change mine every hour or so to keep them going nicely..

Trog, I think some time ago we discussed the need for a "Consumer Reports"-type study to be conducted for e-devices. In America, a buyer will never go wrong following the top choices from Consumer Reports. They lab test and report objectively the relevant facts. In the case of e-smoking: How much vapor per standard-timed puff? How much nicotine per puff? How many puffs per cartridge? How long does a battery last with repeated four-second turn-on, turn-offs? Cost per puff, per day, per week? Guarantee?

Unfortunately, we don't have such a study, and likely won't have one this year. So we're left with a forum full of individuals who enjoy, or despise, various things about various e-smoking devices. All of the above can be a turn-on or turn-off -- vapor, cost, nic hit, ease of draw, transportability. I've been turned off by devices that make a wet whistling noise! I no longer use them. Petty perhaps, but a major turn-off for me.

We're all looking for different combinations of assets. Understand that your needs, unmet by many devices, aren't everyone's cup of tea. Live with the difference of opinion. We were all lost newbies not long ago, and newbies will still have to play "crap shoot" with a purchase, until Consumer Reports weighs in with an objective report.

Still, admit that we learn about our practice from the shared experiences and insights of others. All others. No matter the level of experience. If an experience doesn't match yours, brush it off if you like. But carry on with offering your own insights and knowledge.

Well, I'm really enjoying my bling now. Using my own juice it gives great vapour and tastes lovely. It's an easy draw, decent (cheap) batteries, cartridges last a good length of time and the atomiser does what it's supposed to without throwing a tantrum.

I've only had it a couple of days so my views might change but for now the more I use it the more I like it. The only drawbacks I can see are the yukky (to me) cartridges that come with it, the advertising all over it (at least it's in Chinese which looks kind of arty) and it's a bit chunkier than an ecig.

This looks set to be one of my main devices, I might even be falling in love, lol.

After reading all this info about the cigars I resurrected an old generic, that I bought to test when I first started trying all of the e-cig stuff. Much to my suprise the cigar is still performing well, batteries seem to last longer than any of my other cigs. Drip chocolate juice direct and on cartridge and it vapes like a champ. Been using for couple of days, may become my mainstay at home. Can't take it out, too chucky for me to handle out and about. See how long the atomizer last. That's the big test. Thanks for all info-lovin this cigar!!

i have tried butting a fresh battery on every hour before ted but it stilll lost its bite after 10 or 15 puffs..so i went back to changing every 2 or 3 hours..thats why i like the bling because it has bite everytime.. personal choice really...

Yeah, I know, I have twenty odd of the things now and will be spending some time to come slowly diluting them in my own mix. The guarantee isn't massively important to me, it would probably not cost much more to buy a new one at Wayne's prices than to pay for postage to send it back and forth for replacement.

I think it's such a good deal that even if I only get a couple of months out of it I'll feel like it's been worth it.

You should definitely get a few months out of it i looked in to it with wayne on a price from the uk back to him and back again it worked out to be about £6 pound... i recommend if any body else is thinking of buying the bling to not get the starter pack buy from wayne direct not through ebay just buy the tube(atomizer built in) and led cap this will cost about £17 then buy 6 pack of rechargeable batteries and double charger form deal extreme it works out cheaper... and you then have 6 battery's rather than 1(ruyan) and a twin charger rather than the ruyan single charger..the ruyan charger is poorly made and dangerous imo..this all cost less than buying the ruyan starter pack..

One of the mods will eventually read this and if they agree that it's a good idea they'll move it for us.

Thanks for the charger link.

Your suggestion for buying the bling partly from Wayne and partly from Dealextreme adds up to a very good esmoking experience. It may not have a guarantee but it's definitely worth considering as a low price, high performing 'disposable' option.

Kate buying of wayne direct doesnt mean no guarantee he will still send a dead atomizer back to ruyan for a replacement..If anybody is thinking of buying of heavensgift on e-bay heres a cheaper alternative a direct link to wayne which cuts out the middle man (ebay) heaven_gifts@yahoo.com.cn)

Note to my last post. Was loving the cigar, but the batteries weren't lasting long at all. When I put them in the cheap looking charger it stayed green meaning they were as charged as that charger could charge. (say that 3 times). Today I got my double charger from Deal Extreme that a member here suggested. I put those batteries in the new charger and the red light came on meaning they needed recharging. They have been charging about an hour and it is still red. So it may benefit our cigar smokers who are having charging problems to look into the double charger on Deal Extreme. Now they need to come up with quad charger. :)
