I am on Indian land
MM is a hero. He saved his wife's favorite dog.

No,no, no you got it all wrong. They're both heroes. And of course his wife likes both his legs, but she does have a favorite. Just like she has a favorite cinderblock. Well, one day, the cinderblock was attacked by a troubled concrete slab. MM distracted the concrete slab, who fell for the trap and attacked his leg. The dog seized the opportunity and saved both leg and cinderblock, and did it so cleverly that to this day, the neighbors will all swear up and down that it was Mrs MM who saved all three. And when pressed, (possibly plied with a glass or two of good sherry), a couple of them will begrudgingly acknowledge that as calves go, the one on his rescue leg is pretty shapely...

Great pickup. You will love it. :thumb:

Hope so. I've been wanting one for a while. How I found it was completely on accident. Meant to click on "What's New --> My Posts", but clicked "New Posts" by mistake and the FS thread was at the top. That Darwin was destined for me! :)

actually I tore the muscle that goes from the base of my leg around to my backside...as I was lifting the slab I realized it was too much to lift but it was going up so I kept on...I was lifting with my legs not my back otherwise I would be a quadriplegic now...at least that's what the sports med doctor said...some sport...I guess it qualified as a dead lift... anyway I just finished PT 3 mo ago and am walking normally for moderate distances but I used to do a mile or 2 min a day jogging and sometimes as much as ten or twelve...the dog made it to 11 years old and lived a good life with us...and yes My wife is the true hero...she put up with me being nasty and obnoxious for a year an a half(this was the first time I have not been able to simply shut out whatever pain I was in) so she is the hero...I am the dumb fool that didn't call the fire dept or come up with a better way to rescue the dog...

You guys are totally speaking my hubby's language! lol!

but if you research your zombie lore the latter day zombies aren't just into it for brains...they are flesh eaters...

and only a well placed shotgun blast will have a desired affect...anything but makes you food...and one of the dead soon...

Kristin,

Since I can't post on QSMB any longer I'll have to congratulate you here for the wonderful post you made there.
(The last post on page 9 of the "(new and) Very confused by anger on this forum" thread.)

I wish I had written it!

(It's awfully rational though, so it'll probably get you banned.)

Cheers

Hear! Hear! -- or is it Here! Here! ??? (stupid homophones)

Well said.

Just for the record, it's "Hear hear."

It originates from the phrase "Hear him, hear him" which was shouted in the English parliament to lend support to a speaker (*A* speaker, not *THE* speaker, unless, of course, it was *THE* speaker who was speaking) but was, over time, shortened to simply "hear hear."

English is such a fine language. :)

Cheers
