Just out of curiosity... I am part of the GG community for a while now and there always seems to be a shortage in either complete devices or parts. Usually both...

Why is this? I mean, if you make runs of (for example) 100 pieces of a product or part and you keep running out of them all the time, why not make runs go 200? Or 300? Or whatever is needed to satisfy demand and maintain some minimum stock level at the retailers?
I'm sure is miss something here but that's why I ask... :)

It is funny how shortage is relative. If you were here 2-3 years ago you would have known the real meaning of shortage lol.

Imeo's machines are always working and it wasnt't until recently that he acquired more machine/machine shop. These days Imeo is more than generous. With the number of parts each device contains it is nearly impossible to produce a surplus.

And because of that imeo studies how much has to be produced of each part according to demand. Which is great for him as well because this is how businesses are run.

Imeo would give you a better answer, this is only my view.

That's a pretty definitive statement. I don't agree at all - that's how some businesses are run - is more accurate but this is besides my question.

I also want everything to be availble all the time, but we should be aware of some facts
That put GG in other perspective compare to other.

Let's not be specific but other competitor need only 2 or 3 kind of tubes,
One button and one or two top cap to maintain parts.

If they don't carry atty then in very short time they can replenish the invantory.

If they was able to make one atty and carto tank then it will take a bit more time as more parts involve.

GG on the othere hand...where to start??? have many designe all in some kind of demand.
Many unique parts involve for manny kinds of attys all are wanted as all are unique,
And almost same nimber of mods.

Even we take main frame JGGTS and ODYTHAKA many parts are still involve.

Holding big invantory cost money, and involve parts that will stay for long time on the shelves.
Also demands can vary in GG by more then 50% at some points of time.

I look at what I keep for spare and it's amazing.

Now you have Esterigon and Telemachus on the way,and still you need to run spare for JGGTS and ODYTHAKA
Becouse there will be allways demand for them.

It's just somthing totaly different from any othere brand outhere.

So manny designs for our benefits... GG does make better all the time, even from the time that I start here to now
There is a huge different in the amount of items and parts availble in between main sells,it realy wasn't even close
To that even one year before.

So we grow and there is excuse to make more but also Imeo invention grows all the time so we need more from more lol :)

But GG does indeed moving forward and much better then othere IMO.

If i understood right, this is not Imeos main job, he does GG in his spare time. so firstly he has to finance in advance and secondly he his spending a lot of his spare time for GG. As aal said, there were times when is was very hard to get GG devices and parts.
But one of the best things with this is, that we get the High quality of GG products, because it is no mass production in china .....

I run out of things because of 2 things fog. I have made a lot of constructions and I cant keep up the demand for all of them. But the most serious reason is that items exist for a long time. After the stock finish then I am not able to make them again immediately because I make new constructions that time. For example, Ithaka new rebuildable part was for sale for 2 months and its still available on USA seller. But USA seller sold Ithaka as spares too so he now has only rebuildable part and its parts and he runs out of bases. Same with Greek seller. He has bases but he runs out of rebuildable parts.
Anyway, I am trying to make all the missing parts right now so all sellers can have what they need

GG is my main job the last 3 years Stan:)

But there are so many parts involved and there are so many designs that I cant really make all of them at once. Not even China can do that. I have now 10 cnc machines and they work 24/7. I am really doing my best. Imagine that in 1 month I made 45 different pieces and the next month I made 72 different parts. I dont think that anyone else can do that

Nice to know about the process and machines Imeo.

I would like some videos of the complete cycle of live of one product. Like on Discovery Channel or similar.
I know that now is not the best moment to do that, a lot of new projects. But I a nearly future... Or with some help...

Think about it ;-)

In many other devices after they discontinue a product, after a time they quit supporting it (no spares). This frees the machines. Imeo switches machines back to make parts for iAtty/Ody etc when people want parts for them. That takes time away to make parts for new construction. I get it.

That's what makes GG different from the rest of te crowd: built to last, and long term support of most models !!

What everyone must understand is that GG's comprise of many many individual parts which are all made by CNC's. Think for example how many individual parts comprise an Ithaka with the upgrade. It's something like 20 off the top of my head.
To make those 20 parts you can't do it on 1 or 2 CNC's because it would take forever to make a sufficient amount. As many CNC's as possible are required to make each separate part because it's very time consuming to re-load the programming for each piece on the same machine.
All in all this is a very time consuming process.
