Hi Guys,

I have been new to vaping but have not touched a cigarette since.
I feel I am ready for my next gear.
I would like a good device that does not require me to fiddle with the whole time
and that is easy to use. I am currently looking at the evic and the provari, what
are your experiences with these?

Thank you!

I bought mine from Fasttech, but there are many vendors in the US that sell them also. Please make sure you read up on them yourself also, make an informed decision. Pbusardo has a good review of it on YouTube also, as do many reviewers. At least you can try out VV/VW at a more cost effective rate than a provari/evic.

Definitely the Provari. I have three eVic's and two Provari's. At first, I was hung up on the variable wattage and ego threading thing. Provari not right for those applications. However, I have evolved to cartos and carto tanks as my ADV, and the Provari is not only well suited for this, but the best I have seen thus far. It's not an entry level APV. The eVic has unique strengths and weaknesses, about an equal number. If the eVic had the build quality, and durability of the Provari, it would be in the running. I have three eVic's because I love the idea of the eVic. It's potential is amazing. It's execution is not good in many ways. Of the three, they've all broken four times. I've had to learn resoldering, and bought the gear to keep them running. Sure, I can now easily fix them, but why should I have to? I vape all day long and rough on my gear, always in my hand. There is not a more delicate flower on Earth than the eVic. The Provari is exactly the opposite. Drop it out a car window on the freeway, go back and get it and vape on. As a "hobby" I have to have my eVic, but it's rarely even in my weekly rotation any more, whereas the Provari is my main ADV, because of my current carto/tank predilection. There are many good threads on the Forum about this. I would rather have the Sigelei V5 over the eVic. Someday, the eVic may achieve it's potential, and I'll probably get it again, if that ever happens. There are after market telescoping tubes for the eVic, the bOd by Leo and the Kir Fanis, and maybe if I could get my hands on one of those, I'd change again. Who knows? My two cents. Best to you.

Forgot to mention like the above postere said the provari will survive a hundred thousand drops. And still not need to be sent in for repairs. Its almost as tough as a mechanical mod. The i taste is pretty danm solid too mine survived a drop of a forktruck and many drops off my schiwn mountain bike at high speeds onto gravel pavement and dirt trails. Lol i vape wiles i ride. And the only problem i have had with it in the last 2 years is that its scratched up now, still works like new and no sign the battery is losing charge ether. I consider the i taste mvp the best 65$ i have ever spent on vape gear ever. My mechanical comes in second even though i use it more the i taste was a better buy. if u like tube mods

check out the i taste svd

LOL for being able to drop the provari out of a carwindow :p sounds like that is what I need! I am known for dropping phones and other expensive devices. I deff do not like the sound of the e-vic breaking ..... I am not technical at all.

I have not really gotten into researching tanks yet... Thunderbal, any advice on that?

Thanks for the Youtube advice Borescoped, that will be very helpful!

If you are hard on your possessions, then perhaps the ProVari is what you need. I've read that the only thing to successfully kill one was a lawnmower, and the ProVari messed up the lawnmower pretty good. Others have said that they've dropped it out a 2nd story window, dropped it in water, and all other sorts of crazy stuff, and couldn't kill it. Even if they did, they could send it in for repairs.

I don't have personal experience with either of these mods, but i have read up on them. The provari is a high end, high quality device. However, there is a lot of button pushing involved to access most of the provari's features ( push button 5 times to access this, push button 11 times to access that, etc.). Its not a huge drawback; i only mention it because you said you didn't want to fiddle around with your mod too much.

If you're just starting out, you might want to try a more economical mod before jumping into a bigger investment like a provari. The vamo & the iTaste mvp are both affordable, easy to use & a good introduction to variable voltage.

The best advice i can give is to fully research any device you're thinking about buying. Watch grimmgreen & pbusardo's reviews, download the user manual, and of course look for info right here on ECF.

Provari with the ego adapter for it just because you will use the 510 threads 90% of the time but, there are some cool ego threaded tops out there and you might prefer one of those or just want to play with them.

As for using the Provari, once you learn what your juices like with whatever topper you like, it's set it anf forget it, just vape. As for tough, yeah they are, mine has fallen off a 12 ft roof, been stepped on by a horse, and, knocked off the table into a bucket of grape juice - dust or rinse it of, dry if needed an d vape on.
