If you don't wear a helmet, you've never been in a serious accident. Ask any old biker who's ridden most of their life. It's not a matter of if, it's when. I've had mine, helmet saved my life. Thinking back on it, I'm glad I did. I wouldn't have wanted to die at 28 years old. Wasn't anything I could, the deer wanted to die apparently.

But yeah, chances of getting struck by a suicidal deer or by lightening can't really be compared.
Either way, I'm alive now, and not-very-patiently waiting for the ego twist to come out![]()
I don't remember it but I was put in the hospital because of a helmet and had quite a few wrecks where the helmet was the reason my head became the leading projectile.
One of the first people to try to kill me street biking would've gone unseen if I had a helmet on and I would've been road pizza.
Luckily that freedom of choice is something my state still allows.
Once I figured out I couldn't ride in town because of people trying to kill me and I couldn't ride in the country because of deer trying to kill me I got rid of the bike.
