Thanks sounds good,

I burned my first EMDCC yesterday. I think it was faulty to begin with, as it didn't draw or produce like it should. It started tasting nasty, and I pulled the mouthpiece off and could see a black streak down the side, and some of the filler was gone. I then pushed the button, and could see it fire up. These things get red hot, or at least that one did.
Also I have found that it is very easy to block the air flow on these things where they are situated with my finger. I have to be cognizant where I place my finger when I draw on it or it gets all "hot and bothered".
i think this has been addressed before, but: With my 1st batch of these, I found the same to be true for me. I grabbed a file and gently added a 3rd slot on the edge of the skirt 90 degrees from the originals. So, no matter where the EMDCC ends up, there is at least one slot not covered by any fingers. In the latest batch I got, the seemed to have raised the center post; probably to correct the contact problems talked about earlier in this thread. This also helps with the "clocking" problem of the air slots in that I get good contact of the center post well before the skirt bottoms. Thus, there is a "springy" action that allows me to clock it so that the air slots are in a better position. Vape on!
I tried them, and I don't see the point.
I have been using the XL Duel coils for the past few months. I tried a couple of the mega ones, and this is what I found:
The XL's initually take 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 ml's to fill up.
Megas take a little over 3 ml's to fill up.
The XL's need refilling every 3/4 to 1 ml.
The mega's need refilling every 3/4 to 1 ml.
The mega's hold more juice, but have to much area around the coils. If it is not all the way full, it will start burning the juice. They dont last any longer between refills than the XL's. All they do is need more juice to get them started.
LOL!! Figures. Read through the entire thread, only to find it's gone cold.
Anyhowww...
I didn't want to start a new thread before checking this one out to see if I could find what was on my mind. And I did, finally.. and in part.. in post #1304.
I'm using this 900mah battery, along with the SMOK branded eGo Mega Dual Coil Carto, and I have to say I'm just loving it!
This setup works perfectly for my needs/purpose: I can trust the batt lasting a full day and ditto for the carto.
Thanks for all the other tips and tricks, guys and gals!

PS -- Sure are alot of Floridians in here...
I'm no expert, but it sounds like you're maybe having the same problem I have with my gogo. The post gets pushed in too far (all that over turning you did) and it's not getting good contact with the charger...thus, it reads charged even though it's dead and not making contact with the charger *takes breath...
Take a pair of tweezers and GENTLY pull that post on the battery out by rocking back and forth, then try screwing it into the charger. Bet you get a red light AND a good charge![]()
I will try that, thanks. Couldn't recall how y'all had been working the post back out though.
As far as 'over turning' goes -- Nuh-uh; only to the snug point. Each time it just kept getting a bit further along is what. I think someone mentioned the "soft metal" in a MV neg comment, btw. Yet it looks and feels sturdy.
Onward.
