Anyone know what diameter wire is being used on the stock ni200 wires that come with the bachelor? I actually like it. It's the first TC vape where first pull I was like "oh my!"

You mean "the paperclip"? Lol.

Might be 24g but I'd think more like 22g.
I used the first for a few days but haven't looked at one in quite a while.

No complaints about it but I run mostly SS.
I tend to lightly space about ten large ID wraps of 24g 316 for about 0.6 ohm.
Tremendous vapor production. Much like the paperclip. ;)

Paperclip! Ha! The one that comes in the tank is Kanthal right? Takes 4 forevers to heat up, and is quite thick but the one in the box is quite thin. 28ga? That's the one I am trying to figure out. I might as well try SS.

I've unwatched it 3 times already, but it keeps coming back!

I thought I'd finally escaped these but they're still haunting me I guess.

I vaped the black Nano briefly the other day by the way, I can't even imagine anymore why I loved this thing so much and it wasn't even all that long ago.

If you can stand a slightly more restricted draw, Kayfun V5 (clone, I'm cheap like that) is where it's at yo :D

*presses unwatch, for the forth freakin' time!*

I haven't used either of mine in months yet I still read up too. Which clone did you get?

All of them!!

lol

My SXK is a mini though, and I have yet to put a build on that one. My fav is the SJMY, it's just so smooth and feels so nice putting it all together. The Tobeco performs just as well, but the SJMY just feels a bit nicer overall. I only got a Tobeco too because that's the only one that comes in black & I wanted one to match my black VT200.

*Nichrome ;)

Why am I still watching this thread?

Fair enough. Thanks for the reminder. :)
It and Kanthal affect me only in that... I don't use them to any degree, and I can't TC either.

I don't have a HohmTech which does TC "any wire" or an Asolo, which might , nor a new Kanger which apparently tries and fails.
But I have tried NiCr on several others and it must have been either the first Bachelor coil, or one of the Red 0-Ring Kanger SSOCCs which are NiCr, damn it was a while ago. Of course it failed.

Unlike your bad JuJu with the Bachelors :( I use mine everyday, but hadn't touched the boxes in months until yesterday when I checked to see if I correctly remembered the spare coil being in a foil pill pack. That's how often I think about the "paperclip" (still wondering what gauge it is).

And yes... I quoted you just to pull you back in. Too late. :p

I've never used any of the coils that came with them neither, lol.

I did finally get my SS a while ago by the way. It is a lot easier to build with than Ti but I still prefer Ti for the actual vaping. It tastes purer to me and it appears more stabile in TC mode. It is nice to have options though :)

I think those devices are only advertised as "do everything in TC", I can't imagine it will work all that well with every wire. But I haven't really looked in to them so I could be wrong. But you should be able to copy whatever those do with a DNA device I guess, if you wanted to..

If you hadn't cheaped out on those calipers you would now know what gauge it is...

The HohmTech G2 uses their own chip set, TC algorithms, and their own "settings scheme" as opposed to TCR, .csv or Dicodes. I haven't looked into evidence based reviews (ex: Phil or Daniel) or seen their graphs, but owners are confident the G2 is performing functional TC on Kanthal (which for our purposes means NiCr works too and for now counts as "any wire").
If I didn't find the enclosures so damned unattractive, I'd own one (or the Slice) by now.

We know the Kanger is dodgy on NiCr despite a dedicated TC Mode, so Kanthal is right out.
What the Asolo even does is debatable so I have to leave that in the middle, for now.

I never looked into the Dicodes... I don't know how low of a TCR it can functionally track and TC. By all accounts it's stunning with Ni and Ti... perhaps the very best.
And despite .csv customizability... the DNA will not TC either NiCr or Kanthal. Sad but true.
But neither will Innokin's new and well regarded chip set nor the P4Y IPVs.

Without hands on I can't verify it... but the HT's G2 and Slice appear to really be "any wire TC".
Don't know how.

If you hadn't cheaped out on those calipers you would now know what gauge it is...

I didn't cheap out... I didn't want to wait the extra 4-6 weeks for delivery from China. ;)
Still need want to grab one... probably go with Amazon.

Oh hell, I'd forgotten there's a nickel coil included as well.
Never opened the foil pack to have a look. Sorry.

And yes, the paperclip is Kanthal.

The stock coil in my foil packet isay NI200, Nickel, as opposed to Nichrome. It's about 10 -12 wraps. Still trying to nail it down before ordering wire.

Correct... the included spare is nickel. The "paperclip" is Nichrome.

Are you sure you want to order more nickel?
I have a couple small spools I haven't touched since last year.

I might see preferring titanium for its' purity, but I just don't see a reason to use nickel anymore with its' restrictions and limitations (Ti shares some of those as well). Allergies notwithstanding.

And now, you'll see me do something I had thought I wouldn't do (next post)....

@OhTheAgony,

If you're willing...

Find out what it'll cost me, then... box up your worst Bachelor Nano (remaining rings etc. included) and I'll pay shipping so I can build and test vape it.

I'd very much like to see what a wonky B does.
If it's crap, I'll pay to ship it back. If not... I'll buy it from you.
Fair?

I have an active PayPal if that helps.

Fun idea, but...

1. I already promised Stretch the o-rings, although I have plenty to send him so I'm sure he won't mind getting one set less, but....

2. I've already fixed the leaking problem, with those thicker black o-rings for the base that Cirus found on Fastech. I only tried them on one Nano so far but that was the worse of them, so I assume it'll fix the problem on the other ones as well.

I have one silver Nano (formerly known as good Good Nano, my daily driver for several months) that has a short in the base though, and a full size version with the same problem. I haven't looked in to it yet, might be an easy fix, might be a broken insulator, but you're welcome to those if you feel like fixing something :)

Shipping would be 20 bucks without tracking or 27 bucks with tracking. I may be able to ship them for less then 10 bucks without tracking but that would mean I have to send them without the box(es) so I can't guarantee they get there in one piece.

You're probably not interested anymore, but, no need to buy them if you fix 'm, you're welcome to them anyway.

I don't mind though, my little Kayfun family is satisfying me on such a level that most if not all Bachelor-related frustration has finally left me :p

I have had the regular sized bachelor tank for about 2 weeks. Ive only had a leaking issue once. I saw a tip somewhere to close the juice control before putting it away for the night. I do that now, and take a few hits with the juice control off to dry up the wick a bit. So far its been working and I havent had any leaking issues since...

The only issue I've been having is popping and spitting. I am using the prebuilt 0.5ohm coil and have it set to 35w, which is the highest I like to go.

How can I stop the popping and spitting?

Yes... I am the summoner.

Oops, I meant... I AM THE SUMMONER !!1!1! ELEVENTY !!111!!

:p

Ok... yes, I'll work something out if you'd like.
I'm curious to see if it's your evil JuJu or not. ;)

But it'll have to wait 36 hours or so... I'm pressing my luck with the Single Malt.
It's got the upper hand... for now.

PM me a reminder and we'll get it done. It sounds like there's no fixing it for you though. :(

Hey thanks for that feedback. You convinced me. I will order Ti.
