The more I read about batteries the more confused I get. I'm 74 and don't have too many unused brain cells left.
Most of my vaping is done on a Subtank Mini with a 1.2 ohm build on the RBA. I vape at between 7 and 12 watts. I also vape Aspire Nautilus and ET-s tanks with 1.8 ohm coils also at 7 - 12 watts.
I just got a couple of iStick Picos and some LG HG2 3000 mAh 20 amp batteries. I don't know how to calculate the amp draw or whatever it is called to determine if I am safely within the 20 amp battery limit.
Anyone out there willing to educate me on this? Thanks

The math is pretty simple, Barryo. Watts in, watts out. If you're firing your atty at 10W, you're pulling 10 watts off the batt. Dividing the watts by the current voltage of the battery gives you amps (pulled from the battery). So at 10W, with a battery charge state of 3.7V, gives you 2.7A.

There is the matter of chipset efficiency. But you're so far under the amp limit, I wouldn't bother to deal with it.

Have to love calculators - I know my older brain cells do:
This is from
Battery drain

You should have no problems with those batteries and your builds and watts.

Steam Engine main page

has several handy calculators.
Thanks for pointing me to Steam Engine. I use this calculator for coil builds and never even noticed all the other functions it offers.

Thanks for putting this into words I understand.

Thanks, Katya! Haven't bumped into you in a while. Hope you're well!

I'm well, thank you. I'm taking a sabbatical, after six years on ECF. :D The seven-year itch?

Whelp, just placed an order for my THIRD iStick 100w TC, lol! Now I will have all 3 colors. :D Heaven Gifts has them half off right now. How is one supposed to be good with a sale like that?? And I am seriously tempted to get another white one, too. I LOVE the color. Heh. I think I'm iStuck. :D
