It has to be able to drop the wattage or else it couldn't regulate temperature. 40 watts is the middle of the range of wattage adjustment on an evic TC, it seems to work well. I've tried higher and lower wattage adjustments on the evic TC and there is very little difference in how it vapes. eleaf left off any adjustment to make it simpler and cheaper, performance should suffer little unless you want to vape at very high temperatures.
40w would be in the high range for the SX Mini and VaporShark. If it's usin PWM in TC it will go into TP a lot unless you raise the temp setting. That would limit your temp settings and put a lot more dependency on your coil build.:pop:

Seriously thinking I made a big mistake ordering the istick 40W...I run 30W and 460 degrees on my eVic and it's perfect. Can't wait for it to get here.
It seems every one of these TC mods are set up different. You'll just have to try them. The iStick 40w may be the simplest and one of the best so far.

Yep! Actually it's blue..my favorite color. :)
I've reached the point though that lately, I don't want to review anything here. It seems that when I do, it's picked apart for anything and everything....gets old. :)
Being the coiling Queen, I was really looking forward to your thoughts on it.
Especially since you have all the Air tanks to try out and the coiling material to do a little experimenting!

Well got it working OKish by cranking the temp up to 300C.
Which means I lost the single benefit of not getting burned cotton with empty tank that frankly wasn't an issue with my iSub.
Well on vw this is a handly lil powerhouse, so no regrets.
It might be the great temperature control/protection isn't so great it's said to be, but that's not my lil iSticks fault.

Well, *I* want to hear and I hope you love it -- Selfishly, I let you guys try everything new, work out the kinks, and then help me, the slacker. And you're so sweet, YOU DO!
For instance -- the rebuilt coils you sent -- my "Daft Spunk" juice has never tasted this good. It's actually sinful. And don't even get me started on Peanut Butter Cookie.
