I contacted eleaf US. First they asked where I bought it. Then they wanted a pic of the scratch off code on the box. Then they said they couldn't help me. They said I needed to contact the supplier to the website where I purchased it from.

So I contacted the the owner of the website where I purchased the istick 50..... evape.us and asked for his supplier info like eleaf directed me to. He told me not to worry about it. He's gonna replace it for me. So a new one is on it's way to me.

In the meantime, I ordered a new eVic VT to replace the iStick 50 as my go-to regulated device.

evape.us has proven to be a stellar vendor...

They truly are. He's been out of stock on the air tanks but as soon as they're back in stock I'm buying a few more. I need coils too.

ETA: they're back in stock. Just got two more. :D

Just wanted to put in a note about the great customer service I got from Rocky Mountain Vapor.

Tried to log into my account Thursday night and couldn't get in. Tried again early Friday morning and sent them an email when I was unsuccessful. The owner called me on my Hawaii landline Friday afternoon, fixed my access problem and offered to take my order by phone. I was heading out of the house when he called, so I placed my order online late Friday afternoon. The order was shipped Saturday morning and I received it in my PO box today (Monday).

Good price too - iStick 30w full kit and 2 silly-cone sleeves/cases for $36.55 shipped, after the ECF 15% discount. I really wanted just the battery as I already have 2 iStick charging wall warts and cables, but after adding in shipping costs it was cheaper to order the full kit than it was to order just the battery + the cases from anywhere else. (Rocky Mountain Vapor hasn't had just the battery in stock for quite some time now.)

Great vendor, IMO.

Oh - a couple of observations on my new iStick 30 (i30).

First, there is absolutely ZERO rattle on this new i30.

Second, I think the spring-loaded 510 pin is mounted a bit higher than in my now defunct i30. When I first put my Lemo Drop on the new one, it would read the resistance when it was almost fully screwed on, but it would not read resistance when the tank was fully screwed on. Screwing in the positive screw all the way in on the bottom of the Drop "cured" the problem, but the positive screw is now slightly recessed - that is to say is now a little deeper - than the thread portion of the Drop's male connector. That makes me feel a little uncomfortable, but...<shrug>. When comparing the thread depth of the Drop and the ego adapter included with the kit, it's clear that the threads on the Drop are considerably deeper or longer than those on the adapter.

Just thought I'd note the above.

Is there any way to find out if your I stick is a clone? When I ordered mine 2 they both came in small white boxes with eleaf stick written on them seemed legit since I ordered just the base model, but now when I search them online the packaging is different. Thanks
I think mine has the scratch thing on the back of the box. The box looks basically the same as the other two I bought. I guess I could try to check the scratch thing later, but I really don't doubt that it's authentic.

Good question, jerseyman. I don't rightly know the answer. I purchased my 30W ("battery only") as soon as it was released. I know it's authentic. Yet it came in a little white Eleaf box with no scratch-off serial #. With China involved, often the cloners are the same companies that manufacturer the authentics; meaning authentics and clones are practically identical. I guess if it looks too good to be true, it usually is.

Thanks, Kent! But I don't have one of those stickers on my box. Maybe evape.us got them gray market and not through EleafUSA (the official US distributor). But there is no way, purchased on the week of release, that my iStick 30W is not authentic.

It's a more recent development - the first batches (don't know at what date) didn't have them but are still most likely authentic.

Edit:

I get this note when I rechecked mine for the second time:
Warning! The product may very likely be an imitation when the query is valid but has already been checked twice!
I guess the security codes are getting cloned... lol.
There is an IP stamp and time/date stamp each time you check a number.

Not real happy with Eleaf right now. Back on post 14948 of the original thread I reported a problem of my 50w istick auto firing. I emailed service@ismoka.com a week ago and got no response. I then emailed service@eleafus.com and they said the B&M store I got it from is not one of their wholesale locations they could not do anything to replace my 50w even though there is still almost a full month left on the warranty. The B&M store I got it from will only due returns for 14 days so now I am stuck with a useless istick.

Also I did check the batch code on the eleaf website and it did show to be authentic. I guess I won't recommend anymore eleaf products to anyone.

I'm really sorry to hear this, Roy G! You're not the first to have problems with the 50W. The warranty had been discussed often in the other thread. For the warranty to be valid, we must purchase the iSticks from an "authorized reseller". It also goes on to state that if non-Eleaf accessories are used with the iSticks (including atomizers), the warranty is void. This just serves to royally pi$$ off vapers and reflects very poorly on Eleaf/Joyetech. The only iStick I will recommend now is the 30W. It has shown itself to be, thus far, a fairly solid little device.

Good luck!

don't blame ismoka - i'd hassle the b&m that reduced the manufacturer's warranty to 14 days. let them take it up with their distributor or at least get the name to see if that one is authorized by ismoka ;)

While I agree with you, Tibs. It's time that iSmoka put their big-boy pants on and owned up to the problems with the 50watter. If it's authentic and the consumer has a receipt, EleafUSA should honor the warranty and suck up the costs of customer service. Just my :2c:.

I went to the B&M and told them about the issue and they told me to take it apart and clean the contacts for the fire button. I have no problem taking it apart but would prefer not doing that since it is still under warranty. I will go back up there tomorrow and see if they will tell me who they got them from.

The ones we got from our January co-op all had serial numbers and they were from the first batch.
