Are we still 'Stickin' in here?

Just popping by to say happy one year to my original 'Sticks. Of those original 7, I have only one left - my pink 20w. (I later got a few more including my current black 30.)

Happy Birthday, little itty bitty mod, who started the total craze of 2014/2015. :D

I think we're still 'Stickin'....seems there is a bit of wandering off in some conversation quarters here...but I'm here for the 'Sticks! Love your Pinkie. Mine is underdressed, but her color is vivid!

Hmm, I'm getting tempted with all this Evic Mini VTC 60w talk. Does anyone use the new Ego Mega with it? I can't figure out if there is a normal kanthol coil for it. Looks like it only comes with temp control coils, which I don't feeling like dealing with.

Not that I need another tank, but I figure why not for a little more.

You can get CLR coils on 0.5 or 1 ohm kanthal.

I wish I had opted for the full kit now because who doesn't want another atty to play with?

10w mini with a mini RDA. Little bitty 2.5 ohm coil that came with the RDA, it's got to be at least 36 gauge. Drilled the airflow to 5/32". Makes itty bitty clouds.

Well this is the same tank that came with the Evic VTC and it seems that very few people were happy with it according to the forum threads I read..

I did not get the Mega tank because I had a Ego One tank that I was disappointed with..and it is pretty much the same. The Ego-One tank leaked and leaked and leaked.. I am use to GS-Airs, M, MS, and GS-Tank all which have not leaked one drop in the many months that I have been using them.. It seems there are better tanks out there..

So, I got the 20w back when they were new and hard to find. I've loved rocking that thing with the Nautilus Mini tank; however, my sister and BIL just got the iJust2 kit with the sub ohm tank and they let me try it out. OMG, the vapor! Also, I tend to vape a lot more in the Fall and Winter than in the Summer, so the smaller tank just isn't cutting the mustard. A 5ml tank looks pretty silly on my tiny iStick. So, for all of those reasons I'm looking into two of the latest additions to the eLeaf family - the 50w and the 40w TC. I'm having trouble deciding between the two. I know it probably just comes down to a matter of preference. I really like the style of the 50w device. I like the curvature of it and the button shape. I also like that I could rock a sub ohm 5ml tank on it. But I must say, I'm intrigued by the option of regulating the temp as opposed to the device simply being variable wattage/voltage.

Also, can you use an RDA on either one of those devices?

I'm no expert...but I've heard that the iStick 50W have some problems. Something about the button getting stuck or it firing spontaneously or something. I have the iStick 40W and it works great; so far no issues. I do put an airflow controller on it (one of the old Smok ones for carto tanks) because I like an airier draw. But it isn't really something most would want or need. Just my 2 cents...

Oh..and I use a 4ml. GS Air M tank on mine with (of course) GS Air coils. They have coils for the TC available, too.

When I read your post Jenn, I assumed you meant to say, the 60 watt iStick, since you were mentioning TC. :)

Yeah, don't want any button sticking. My local vape shop sells both devices, so I'll go over there and check them out. Thanks for the info!

Yep, the 40 & the 60 are Temp control. :)

Has the 60w TC been put through the paces yet to see if any kinks need to be worked out? It's hard to find reviews on YouTube for it, thus far. I saw a few, but they were posted within the past week. I really like the common set-up with that Melo 2 tank.
