Negative on that Lynn. Just postin for whoever. I have 2 and that's enough. :) I had another one autofire yesterday. Then it shut off. I got it back on and workin. Used it all day even took it out around town. I have a new replacement of my original BLS mod still in the package. Right now I'm workin on a bad 30w that was DOA.
Following with interest...will you post pictures of the autopsy and determination of death if discovered?

If you buy a TC 40 you don't have to worry about getting new attys if you diy coils. I just built a Ni-coil in a GSA M and it's been performing flawlessly for an hour. :)

Amen to not having to buy new attys. Figured I would try pushing the envelop for TC a bit more. I just built a Ni200 coil, wicked with rayon for an old Vision Vivi-Nova (drilled for additional air and juice flow). It works perfectly with no possibility of dry hits, the rayon wicks very well and it's a nicely warm vape even a 380 F.

Power has been off most of the night due to thunderstorms. We got it back about 30 minutes ago. Maybe I shoulda hooked the 30w to the lightenin rods to spark some life to it.:) Chargin it up right now. It does show 3/4 charge when plugged in but otherwise nothing. I'll post some pics and update later.

Good deal Stosh. I don't know why folks in the Evic and SX Mini threads are havin problems with different attys in TC, especially RBAs and RTAs. The mod is reading the change in resistance of a nickel coil and doesn't care what you put the coil in. Any topper should work. I'm gonna try titanium in my first evod when I get some in. :)

Have you tried the Ni200 with any Genny tanks? It would seem TC would solve any problems with insufficient wicking. If the wick dried out, you don't get vapor...time for a Genny Tilt...:thumb:

I have to get some more TC mods to try everything out, I have too many Ni toppers now and it's impracticable to keep switching, locking a new coil resistance.

I didn't see a titanium option in those videos. That's unfortunate I think. I'll know for sure if it's unfortunate once I actually build a Ti coil . I'm finding 28g nickel very easy to build with because it's not springy, but I can't wick it as chunky as I've gotten used to.
You can't dry burn a nickel or Ti coil either, so unless the temperature management keeps them from gunking up I'm going to be building often. If anything kills the enjoyment for me that would be it.
Might as well make a new acronym for Temperature Control Tootle Puffer .

We were having problems with the Nextgen clones shorting out and being hotspot city with the Kanthal on mesh. One of the users in that thread (EDO) built the Nextgen with nickle and there were no hot spots, tweaking needed or anything. He claims you just roll your mesh, wrap with wire, fill and vape. :)

I don`t have a TC device so I can`t say how well this would work, but it sounds a lot better than tinkering with oxidized mesh and Kanthal.

IT"S ALIVE!...:) After a full charge it turned on and works. I sub-ohmed with it for about 3 hours and it started stickin on. Fired and timed out in the 10 seconds and started again, autofirin. Punching the fire button a few times stopped it. I was runnin a twisted .7 ohm in an ST Mini. I swapped to a Lemo 2 with a .5 ohm and now it's fine again. I don't think it was the ST because I stuck it on another 30 and it's workin properly. I pulled the end caps off to inspect for leaks, nothing. I'm gonna vape it some more to see if it does it again with the Lemo before I operate. I do know the screen is not straight like it should be. That could possibly cause a problem.

Once you notice the crooked screen it jumps out...my OCD is going nuts!
Well, you looked at it's throat and bunghole, time to gut it like a carp!

It just started actin up again after a couple hours of vapin at 25w. I swapped attys and it still did it. It did it at 15w and 25w and both times it was autofiring, it burned the juice. Before, I was taking long 5 or 6 second draws without burning so I think it goes further than just a sticking button. It seems to be locking in fire mode and firing hot at the same time... like it jumped to 30w plus or somethin. DarthEmma didn't mention anything about it autofirin, just dyin on her as far as I know. Time to gut it like a catfish (too many bones in carp) :) Think I'll do it in the morning cause I can get clearer pics outside with my cheap camera. Hasta la Manana

It's probably just trying to get in on the 4th of July fireworks...it thinks it's a sparkler.:p

I agree with dry hits in a Genny but I don't have any. Unless you want an SX MINI M (selling at 139.99 on Breazy.com this weekend), I would take a shot at the istick 40w TC. :)

Low heat and high heat both result in gunked coils so TC should enable you to control that and have much less of a problem.:2c::2c:

I have a couple somewhere, haven't bother to fuss with them for quite a while, tough to build without a corresponding improvement in performance. I'll pass on the SX MINI M, the evic TC is much less $$, and the iStick 40 TC might even be less (if the reviews are good). I can wait, it's how I missed the problems with iStick 50 auto-firing problems....

I've found my wicks will discolor with certain flavors, yet the coil (Ni200) itself doesn't seem to gunk up, not sure why but I like it. A new piece of rayon is an easy fix.
